Becky - I hope the cyst can be handled without surgery and BOOK THAT TRIP, girl!!

Deb - Glad the first day went well. I don't know how long it will take you to get used to the earllier hours... I am still not used to teaching until 9:00 p.m. and I have been doing it for 19 years. ;)

Debbie - Have fun... both at Disney on Ice and in your packing.

Theresa - Good luck!
Thanks for the dittoable post, Elin!

No school here either. I'm off today too, so I don't know what we'll do. Maybe hit the grocery store, and see if I can pick up any discounted halloween stuff. Nicholas has a report to work on. They are studying rocks and minerals in science, and his mineral is atrimony. Never heard of it, so he better start googling things. Tomorrow they have a field trip to a working gem mine, where they will get to dig, and I'll be chaperoning.

Last night we watched HP and the Order of the Phoenix. One more to go before we are caught up!

No work for me today either. I'll be driving back to Lansing in a couple of hours. I've been to the polls to cast my vote so I've done my civic duty. It's the least we can do to repay all those that fought before us to make it possible for all of us to vote.

I went to vote this morning, and was pleasantly surprised at the length of the line! In the last few elections, we have had very poor voter turnout, so it was nice to have to wait in line for 30 minutes!

I did some more online Christmas shopping and ended up ordering Katie a digital camera for her gift from Santa. She is going to be thrilled!!! Walmart is having a pre Black Friday online sale! Very nice!!! I also managed to get the kids new winter boots for 10 dollars a pair. Luckily, they will arrive by Monday, so they should have them in plenty of time for the next snowstorm!

I'm feeling very on top of my Christmas shopping this year. Alan and I have been doing a little bit each month for the last couple of months, and we are staying on budget! I love that!!! From the hints he's been dropping, though, I think that Alan may blow the budget on me. He's been hinting about the Nookcolor as my gift this year. I would LOVE that!!! Still I won't count my chickens before Christmas morning. We'll see!!!

Got out the Christmas music this morning, and have had a pleasant afternoon, listening to my favorite music!!! Now, I'm getting ready to try a new pumpkin cookie recipe! Yummo!!!

It's a Nook color. Barnes and Noble's answer to the Ipad.

Thanks for the heads up on the Veggie Tales! I'm off to download it, now.

Becky-:hug:Hope they can find a quick, easy, solution to the cyst.:wizard:

Theresa-Good luck with the job!!!:wizard:

I went to vote tonight. We have 7,525 residents in our town with 5,461 registered voters (doesn't that seem high? There are lots of families with 3, 4 or even 5 or more kids...). Anyways...there was an hour left for the polls to be open, I was in 1 of 2 precincts and was the 1,900th ballot to go through the counting machine-seems like a pretty high turnout.:thumbsup2

Hi, all! We could use prayers for my sister-in-law. She had a brain tumor removed almost five years ago just after the birth of their youngest son. They saw some regrowth in the most recent MRI and will be starting chemo. I don't have too many more details at this point.

Prayers said, Beth!

Beth - Good thoughts are headed your way.

Jen - loved your photos!

so my lab results came back a little elevated but not anything to be concerned about. Dr. says we will check it again after delivery. As long as I make it to 30 weeks without delivering and Julia who is presenting is head down, my Dr said she will let me try for a normal delivery. My Dr. will be out of the country the week before and of Christmas. So these girls can not come before Dec. 27th as that is when she is back in town and I believe on.

Beth - sending good thoughts and prayers your way!

Jen - very cute!

Field trip today. I need to remember, when I sign up for these things, that just because the weather is nice when the permission forms arrive, doesn't mean it's going to stay that way for the actual trip!

Hope things continue to be OK for you and the babies, Jennifer.

Where are you going today, Tammi? Might not be too bad (she says hopefully!).

Thanks all for the prayers and good thoughts. I was sorry to post and run last night, but Laura needed to finish a bio paper (well, rough draft) and needed the computer.

Jen, I love those photos of you and your brother in WDW!

Jennifer, I keep you and those babies in my prayers.
