Jen,
Love your pictures! What year was that?

Beth,
:wizard: for your SIL.

Jennifer,
Hang in there!

Hi, all! We could use prayers for my sister-in-law. She had a brain tumor removed almost five years ago just after the birth of their youngest son. They saw some regrowth in the most recent MRI and will be starting chemo. I don't have too many more details at this point.

Prayers said, Beth!

That is horrible news, 5 years and now showing regrowth:sad1: To be honest that is our worst nightmare. Prayers heading her way that the chemo and shrink it and maybe then it can be removed? I do know how your family feels and I totally emphathize.

no idea...i did not look at the back..i am guessing I am 5 or 6? so maybe 1989

The back says April 1989 ;)

Deb, I am so sorry! I should have thought before I posted about this here. I obviously wasn't thinking well last night. The surgeon did say at the time of the initial surgery that they couldn't get every bit of it.

I don't know what the plan is for after chemo, but they did catch it early this time.

I'm glad you did post it. We want to give support to anyone going through this. We've recently heard of several friends going through this too. I truly wish her a quick recovery.

Jennifer,
Hang in there!

Thanks all for the prayers and good thoughts. I was sorry to post and run last night, but Laura needed to finish a bio paper (well, rough draft) and needed the computer.

Jen, I love those photos of you and your brother in WDW!

Jennifer, I keep you and those babies in my prayers.

Here are our "Trick or Treat" pictures: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=29143&id=100001052238733&l=b09aea683d

and the "Pumpkin!" pictures: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=29130&id=100001052238733&l=7aa0292bf0

Hope things continue to be OK for you and the babies, Jennifer.
thanks all. I am starting to get sick of people asking how long I plan to work. When I say at least 35 weeks people almost laugh.

Another dark and dreary morning. Colby was up during the night with a tummy ache. He ended up on the futon in our room, but it took him over an hour to fall asleep. I gave hime some children's pepto and it seemed to help. I woke him at 6 and he said he's okay for school so I let him go back to sleep for an hour. Hopefully he still feels well when he gets up.

Another busy day on tap for me. I need to run to JoAnn's at lunch to pick up the last bit of fabric that I need to make the awning above the "new window" in our room. I also need to find a palm tree for the corner. I really do LOVE the room, but it just needs a couple of tweaks.

Tonight I need to figure out the games and clues for the kids parties. Of course I've only heard from 2 out of the 12 kids that they invited:sad2: The kids are sure that more are coming, but it would be nice if the parents responded as asked. I also need to figure out a grocery list for after work on Friday. I need to make sure I have everything I need for the food for all of the parties. By Sunday I will be ready to crash.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny: (although it is dark and dreary here too)

Good morning, DDA!

I'm going to try to sneak in a quick catch up before my charges start arriving. Sorry if I miss anyone.

Beth - Your sister is in my prayers. :grouphug:

Jennifer - You and those sweet babies are always in my prayers.

Bernadette - Love the Beaker head!

Deb - Hope the new job is going well. Good luck on the 6am wake up call. I am trying to work my way to something closer to that so that I can get things done early, but keep resetting the alarm.

Tammy - Sounds like a fun field trip! I hope you all had a good time.

Jen - Love those pictures!

Becky - I hope the cyst is gone by the follow up. I hope you just have allergies hanging on and don't get sick. I'm with Elin...BOOK THE TRIP!!!

Glynis - Sounds like a good Halloween there. Would have loved to see Walt at the Wax Museum! A Nook Color would be so nice! I had never wanted an eReader until lately when it's gotten harder to get to the library and I keep not having anything to read.

Debbie - Love the new pictures!

Marci - My prayers for you continue!

(Okay, didn't make it before the charges, but now I can finish. :teeth: )

We had a good Halloween. Terra loved her costume and even had several people know just who she was so you can't ask for more than that. Deva is most certainly growing because her costume barely fit. Someone had given us a newborn size outfit that looked like a mouse and it was just almost too short. I'll post pictures later today if I can, but otherwise will do it this weekend.

I also have a new charge. They called me Mon and she started Tues. It's nice because the hours are a little less than the others for the same basic pay, plus it's only 4 days. The mom saw an add I placced and recognized my name (or maybe her mom recognized me). The went to our church when I was in jr high/high school and she grew up with kidss I babysat as a teen. I'm thinking that I may even have babysat her a time or two. She's almost 2 so a little younger than I was originally thinking, but I'm hoping she'll be a good playmate/company/distraction for my 2yo. I'm hoping it's not just coincidence, but the 2yo had a much calmer day with her here yesterday even though they played separately more than together. The key was that the 2yo actually played as opposed to just running around chewing, throwing and standing on everything in site.

One last thing...I don't have time to go into details but Kristi and Chris could use prayers for guidance in job situations right now. Things are up in the air once again. Grr. Thanks!!!

If anyone is looking for deals on Wii games...Target is having buy 2 get 1 free on Wii games.

Beth-prayers for your SIL.

If anyone is looking for deals on Wii games...Target is having buy 2 get 1 free on Wii games.

Last week I bought 2 $49 games-resort and play that came with a remote and motion plus. So when I went to return the XBox game I repurchased those 2 and got Kirby's Epic Yarn for free. It looks interesting so I hope it is good. Then I returned the 2 I already had at home as I walked out the door.

Amazon is also doing a buy 2 get 1 free on a lot of Wii games and they tend to have free shipping.

I spent nearly 2 hours in the dentist's chair this morning.:headache: NOT fun. Now my face hurts. Hope it improves so I won't need the root canal. If the pain goes away I can get the permanent crown on 11/18.

I was going to take a beading class with Lizzy so she could make my SILs bracelets for Christmas. The class is offered to anyone over 15 and those 12 - 15 need an adult. Lizzy is 11 1/2 and the instructor said she would need to see a portfolio of Lizzy's work before she could take the class.:snooty: It is a begining class. They offered the class last night but no one had signed up and they are having it again 11/20 but no one has signed up for that one yet either. Wonder why? I found some videos on youtube. It doesn't look like rocket science. I am sure we can figure it out!
