Beth - Glad you all got to do IOA once. But I am really sorry you are having to deal with the heat! Sounds like we now know where it went when it left here.

Debbie - I was so glad to read that you and Richie had a good trip! I was hoping that would be the case but I worried about you and your shoulder. Enjoy your last day and have a safe trip home.

I am sitting in the middle of a war zone this morning. We have two hummingbird feeders around our patio plantings and they are CRAZY today! There appear to be three males and two females and they are buzzing all around my head as I sit here with my coffee. I can't always hear them but today I am being bombarded with tiny cheeps and chirps and fanned by their little wings as they zoom by. Kind of fun to be a war correspondent!

Elin,,, That is how it was down at our friend's house!!! Such carrying on!!! Hal was sitting on the front steps and they kept swooping by him so fast!!!

Good morning and happy Saturday! I can't believe it is the last day of July--crazy!
I am spending my morning going through school supplies for the kiddos to see what else I need to buy..i want to organize it the best I can so it makes it easier when I go back to my classroom. I still havent heard what room i will be in--so i am going with the thought that if i havent heard, then im still in Kindergarten--if not, ill return stuff..

Tonight,my cousin and i are going to a concert--brooks and dunn and gary allen! So excited!

I still have not heard anything from the doctor. Its pretty frustrating. I have an appointment Monday night so I know I will find out something then but that means I just sit and wait.

Extreme Makeover Home edition is in my county. They are redoing a home for a Mom and her 1 year old daughter. Dad died about 9 hours before she was born. The home was over 300 years old and was in horrible shape. They are currently at WDW. I tried to sign up to volunteer but it was closed already when I went to sign up. My brother signed up to volunteer but has not heard if they want his help yet. Volunteer sign ups closed not long after they opened, as they had a ton on interest.

I hope you are all doing well.

Just show up. That is what we did. They said they weren't taking anymore volunteers, but if you showed up they'd put you in a holding pin and use you when a need arised. We started on parking, but got into the house later that night.

Do you have flowers around the area you have a feeder hung? And are there trees in the area?

Yes to both. No one in my area seems to get them. My sister who is 45 miles away in a more rural setting gets quite a few.

Your locale might be the reason. We are not "rural" but we are away from major building and our lots are pretty big with established trees all around. Some of our trees were here when George Washington was living here and surveying this area. Keep at it because once they find your feeder they might keep returning!

We're back in Orlando. Dropping my parents off at MCO then heading toRPR to check in. We had a fabulous trip. Loved almost every minute of it. Cozumel and Roatan are gorgeous. Bad weather kept us from Costa Maya which was our only disappointment

Good evening, all! (Don't remember if I got in a good morning or not. )

I had a bittersweet day today attending the memorial service for the mom of an old friend. I grew up in church, and especially the youth group, with him and his mom. The service was like a small reunion with so many of the old youth group in attendance. Many of them I hadn't seen since I was in college as they were all 2-5 years older than me and graduating and getting married by the time I hit college. It was nice to catch up with everyone, meet some of their kids and be in the company of old friends.

Deb - Welcome back to dry land. I can't wait to hear all about the cruise. I'm glad it was wonderful despite missing one port. Enjoy Harry Potter.

Elin - I hope the hummingbirds let you enjoy your 2nd cup of coffee out with them as well. Terra would love to have a hummingbird feeder, but we haven't actually done it yet.

It is moving day here. We picked up the U-Haul cargo van and it is full and ready to take to the apartment. We will probably have two more loads in it before returning it at 3:00 this afternoon. My car is also full to the gills! This kid has a lot of stuff.

I realized last night that it has been 32 years since we had a "child" living at home. I am not counting when the girls were in college because all their things were still here and they came home regularly. It is going to be a strange feeling, I think.

Yes I know, this is early for me but I have been up for an hour now. Dealing with a nasty headache. Don't think this one is a migraine, but it is pretty darn close.

Next month, Stephanie and I go on our cruise!!!

It is moving day here. We picked up the U-Haul cargo van and it is full and ready to take to the apartment. We will probably have two more loads in it before returning it at 3:00 this afternoon. My car is also full to the gills! This kid has a lot of stuff.

I don't think I am going to have too difficult a time, but Bob is in bad shape. He has been moping around here for the past 2 days and I finally had to say to him this morning, "This day is not about you. It is about Kristin. Don't you dare ruin it for her!"
