Thinking about you today, Bernadette!

Welcome back, Debbie. I am so glad the trip went well. I am sorry that you have to go back to work today, :(

Anne Marie - Sounds like a darned near perfect trip and the pictures prove it! Welcome back!

I was actually invited to dinner last night but I was too tired! After 36 hours of moving furniture and boxes all I wanted to do was curl up on the couch with lots of water and a small meal before bed. Sheesh... I think I am getting older!

Morning, everyone! We are back from the lake, and settled into a slight routine!

Tia - I love the name! It's really cute. I think she will get called Diva a lot, but she can deal with it!

Kristine - I love your name, too! What I really love is that she's staying put and letting you cook a while longer! Hang in there!

Elin - Congrats on your empty nest! After this weekend, I'm really looking forward to that day! Not really, but my kids really worked me over this weekend!

Debbie - I'm glad your shoulder did well this trip! Welcome home, and I hope work is ok!

Anne Marie - Great pictures! Glad you had a great time!

Tammi - I'm glad the kids got home ok! What a son, to treat you to DQ. Anytime my kids want to treat me, I will be happy to go along!

Theresa - Sounds like you had quite the few days, there! Sorry about the lighthouse stuff. How's the job hunt going?

I know I'm missing a bunch of you, but my brain is mush, right now.

Thanks everyone!!!

I'm home. My 91 year old MIL went with SIL & I to hospital so SIL drove her home after they brought me into the day surgery unit. I was given a local and light sedation-was awake for most it. Out of surgery at 9:25 and up and dressed before 10am but had to wait for SIL (& MIL) to come get me to drive me home. We dropped off the prescription on the way home and I'm just waiting for DH to go get it so I can take it BEFORE I feel any pain. It is still very numb now-a bit uncomfortable-like when your face is numb from the dentist. I'm getting around OK because I can put weight on my heel. I'm in bed and plan to stay here as much as possible for at least the next 2 days-dr says first 48 hours are most important so the joint stays fused.

I asked the dr in recovery when I could get the other foot done and he said 3 months but I might want to wait to see how this one goes. I'm hoping to be very happy with the results, get the other foot done when the budget is done in late November and be all set for my 50th bday trip next May. I told Joe that would be an adult only trip and he asked what was so special about 50- "is it because not too many make it that far?".:lmao:

I've uploaded most of my photos so I can work on descriptions between naps.

Anne Marie-too cute about Sophie. Emma loved her too! Are you going to let her cut her hair? Emma keeps telling me she wants to grow it out but she HATES to have it brushed and won't let me put anything in it so I think this style works best for her for now.

Bernadette,
Glad the surgery went well & you are home. Take advantage of this time to rest!!!:goodvibes

Can't wait to see your pictures. I like Sophie's hair long but I always let her have it done the way she likes. The week before school I'll take the girls for their cuts & we'll see what she says then. Daniel needs a haircut NOW! So how did you like BWI CL this time? Hope DH enjoyed it.

We loved BC & all the CM's there...I seriously think we will never venture away from the BC again.

Bernadette - Glad you are home, resting and taking it easy! Hope DH gets there with the meds soon. Take care of yourself!

Bernadette - Glad to hear the surgery went well! Take it easy, now! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you are pleased with the results!

Well, I've done 3 loads of laundry, run errands, taken Katie to the dentist, made brownies, and am working on cookies. In about a half an hour, we are heading to my cousins house for a BBQ/swim party. Hopefully, it will be fun!

Bernadette, I hope you have a quick recovery :wizard:

Bernadette - I am glad to read that you are home and feeling pretty good!

Welcome home, Glynis!

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I finally got my test results back. All of my bloodwork was normal. They found a cyst on my ultrasound in my mid to lower abdomen. I have to have a cat scan done, luckily I could get in 1st thing tomorrow. I of course am thinking the worst. Plus I have to follow up with a specialist. I will definitely need surgery. Not exactly what I wanted to hear.

Bernadette- I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Becky,
Hope the results of your tests tomorrow are good. Sending good thoughts your way.

We'll be praying, Becky!!! I'm glad that they are able to get you in tomorrow so that you don't have to keep waiting. :wizard: that the ultrasound results are good and that they can get to the surgery quickly so that you don't have to worry any longer. :grouphug:

Leaving soon to go to my MIL's. DH will bring the kids home but I will stay there. My SIL is going to bring me to the hospital in the morning and we have to be there at 6am. Their house is only about 10 minutes from the hospital. I have to say I'm a bit nervous but hopeful the results will be well worth it.

I've been uploading photos so I can work on those while I'm recovering.

I was going to wish you luck, but have already read that you are home. I hope you have a pain free recovery :wizard:

:hug:I hope that it is a benign annoyance :wizard::wizard:

We've conquered Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Tomorrow we will move to our last hotel and hopefully get some Disney time in. Wednesday is SeaWorld.

I woke up with a sinus headache yesterday and by last night I had pain in front of my left ear on my face. Above the jawline. Apparently there is a group of glands there :confused3 It was swollen this morning, but not so much now. The pain is still there. I've never had this before so I'm a bit baffled.

The Harry Potter ride was very cool. I'll describe it as Soarin on Crack :rotfl: Today we did the Simpson Ride as well as Rip Ride Rockit. Very Very cool rollar coaster. The boys loved it. We actually did every ride and all shows with the exception of the Horror Make Up show and Barney. Universal Studios took much more time to do than Islands of Adventure, even with the Express Pass for onsite guests. Chris loves Universal, the boys were pretty in to it too. It just was not up to Disney Standards. I'm glad that I'll get some more Disney time before we head home.

Deb - Glad you enjoyed your US days. Even better that there's a little bit of Disney still to come. Have a wonderful rest of your trip!
