DDA Chapter 26

I think we may be thinking of something to do today. It's only 8:30 and I'm already feeling myself frustrated by the 2yo. No one thing too bad, just being a handful and I'm tired on top of it. I'm thinking a change of scenery might be good for all of us. Now to just figure out what that is.

On a plus note, I think we're going to see Sound of Music tonight! The temperature is cooperating a little more for outdoor theater. Now we just have to get the rain to hold off a little bit as well.

So Tia did the name stick?

I do believe so! In two short months we will have ourselves a little Deva Sophia. :goodvibes:cloud9:

In several languages Deva is a word for goddess. Several places also mention it as a Hindu moon goddess which really satisfies my goal of matching something up with Terra's earth goddess meaning. Plus it fits the sound and syllables I was really hoping for and is unique without being too crazy out there!

I like it. Now if I could just find a girl name I like just in case I have another little princess in their.

Good luck! I never imagined I'd have this much problem because Terra's came so easily. Plus, once I settled on the name, she's taken on a whole new presence in my head. I finally had my first dream actually "seeing" her. With Terra I had that dream a lot earlier and it was bugging me not to have had it yet this time.

Tia...is it a short e sound? When I first looked my mind said "diva" but I'm thinking that's not the correct pronunciation, right?

Yeah, it's more like day-vuh. The only negative I could come up with was the Diva thing, but then I had people tell me all of the the time that Terra sounded like Terror, and thus "she must be" or "was she?", so I didn't think this was much different.

Oh, so I was totally wrong on both of my pronunciations.

Tia - Glad you "found" your baby's name!!

first I saw "diva" then I see deva...then e being a short e sound like in the name Ed. Does that make sense. I wasn't seeing a long a sound from the e. But this is a name I am unfamiliar with.

What was your 2nd one?

Makes perfect sense. I wasn't one I was familiar with at all until Phil came across it the other day. It's an Indo-European name/word and he's been studying the old Indo-European language for his writing and came across it the other day when I was on yet another rampage to figure the name our before I lost my mind! :upsidedow

But Jackie sees it exactly as you want it pronounced!! :thumbsup2 so clearly the younger generation is smarter than me :)

Very nice! Love the meaning and matching Terra's too! My friend Mary K has a niece Dava pronounced your way. (It might actually be Dayva). I think Dava was an author of a book her Mom was reading when she was pregnant.

I didn't see it either. I was thinking the other two that you mentioned. I like the sound of it, I'm just trying to think if there is a better way to spell it so everyone isn't mispronouncing all of the time.

I still have not heard anything from the doctor. Its pretty frustrating. I have an appointment Monday night so I know I will find out something then but that means I just sit and wait.

Extreme Makeover Home edition is in my county. They are redoing a home for a Mom and her 1 year old daughter. Dad died about 9 hours before she was born. The home was over 300 years old and was in horrible shape. They are currently at WDW. I tried to sign up to volunteer but it was closed already when I went to sign up. My brother signed up to volunteer but has not heard if they want his help yet. Volunteer sign ups closed not long after they opened, as they had a ton on interest.

I hope you are all doing well.

Hi, all! I don't have much time. We went to Islands of Adventure today. I guess we're glad we didn't it once but don't have any real desire to head back soon. We were done and out of there by 3:30 pm. I am glad that we stayed on-site both for the early entry to HP and the Express Pass. Overall, though, it was an awful lot of money that could have been better spent.

Tomorrow is our first Disney day--MK!

It was 102 today and hot, hot, hot.

Good Morning,

Love the baby names, so glad your little one is hanging in there Kristine

We're packing up to leave this morning, :sad2: we'll spend the morning at Studios and then head or Tallahassee this aternoon, it's been a great trip but I am definitely beat, I think the heat is the reason, it has been brutal.
