DDA Chapter 26

Speaking of moods, I am finding myself slipping into a funk. I really want to dig out, but I can't seem to manage. Between gaining weight, no luck with the job hunt, the kids going back to school...you get the picture. I'm trying to stay busy and keep telling myself that I still have the same jobs that I had last year so I shouldn't worry about it. Easier said than done.

:hug::hug::hug:

Hang in there Deb. Coming off a great vacation always seem to do that to me too. And with the schedule turning to all the craziness of a new school year that can do it too. Hope something turns up for you soon on the jobfront. And you looked great when we saw each other!!!:goodvibes

My oldest has a half day today for orientation. They go through their normal day but abbrievated for today. Tomorrow is the real thing for all 3.:eek::eek:

Have a great day DDA!

I hope the funks leave us all alone soon. I think it is probably the change in seasons and a return to the "same old, same old" that often triggers that yucky feeling. Good luck crawling out of it, everyone!

Thinking of you today, Becky.

I haven't been on facebook yet this morning but it sounds like Kristine needs our thoughts too.

Vicky - We are AAA members but have not done a AAA WDW trip in decades so I am no help there. But I will say that your co-worker's paperwork ought to tell him a lot about what those things are and how to use them.

Good morning, DDA! So I was actually asleep all night, but it sure doesn't feel like it. Feeling kind of icky this morning too. :( Had a pretty good day with the older one yesterday. Wonder what the odds are that it can repeat when I'm feeling bad.

It is such a scary world. One of Chris' coworkers had his wallet stolen out of his car which was parked in his driveway about 1/2 mile from us. Apparently there have been a rash of car break ins around here. We also found out that a hotel about 1/2 mile away is housing a rapist that was released from jail. Did they tell us, no, they only notified a very few homeowners that are adjacent to the hotel. How hard would it be for him to walk a 1/2 mile? jeesh they could have warned a lot more people. Better yet they shouldn't move him into a residental neighborhood.
This information is available. They publish it, but they aren't going go around notifying people. The national sex offender registration list can be found here. It surprises people all of the time when they find out who is living around them. http://www.nsopw.gov/Core/Conditions.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

Good morning. :)

Thinking of you today, Becky, and hoping that everything goes smoothly.

Thanks. I knew about the registry, we've been checking that for years. The police actually took the rapists picture around to the houses that are adjacent to the hotel so they would be cautious when they saw him :scared1:

Thanks so much for your insights. I have to do some research. DH's aunt died of some "female" cancer. I'll have to see if I can find out what she had.

Alan really didn't want Katie to have the shot, but I did. After seeing what my aunts went through, I want to protect my daughters from that. I had to have my doctor talk to Alan and let him know exactly what that form of cancer could mean for our daughters. After that, he was on board. It also helped that our insurance paid for it.

Our school starts tomorrow, as well! My kids are all so excited! The elementary kids met their teachers last night, and that was wonderful! Katie meets hers tonight.

Good morning all!!

Today was Abi's first day of school at Glen Burnie HS. I am so not sure about this school...they are so behind the times it isn't funny. The orientation was a joke. I am pretty sure Abi is smarter than half the teachers and most of the administrators. The school supply list was more like a suggestion and I still spent $70 or so. They wanted 2 inch binders for all of the core classes....ummm I am not paying $8 or so per binder when I know 1 inch works and they will fit in the locker (the locker the kids have to supply their own lock for)

I am in a major funk here...mainly dealing with what have I done bringing Abi out here and getting a lot of no answers or thanks but no thanks to jobs. That and not having anybody I can talk face to face with about my problems. Because while I love my mother I just can't seem to talk to her and when I do I seem to get this :confused3 a lot.

I realize that there aren't commas where there should be in this post but I can't seem to comma today.:rotfl2:

 I don't know what else to say to you, Theresa, except to please don't give up and also, I don't think you made the wrong decision to move.

Well I am sure I am going to see pigs flying outside my window at any momemt!:scared1:

Kate got home from her run through at HS & she really liked it!!:yay: She only had positive things to say about the school, kids, & teachers..even her schedule...ok someone has replaced my daughter! :lmao:

Hang in there. We're all in a funk right now. Starting a new school is always scary for parents and students. We had to choose a school for Nick and of course we worry that it may not be the best choice. None the less he will learn and make friends and hopefully turn out to be an upstanding member of the community. I'm sure Abi will soar in her new surroundings. The job market certainly is dismal. Hopefully we'll all be gainfully employed soon. It is hard to keep sending resumes out, knowing that so many people are looking.

I'm delighted, but... :rotfl2:

Sorry to hear so many are in a funk,

I was hoping to hear news about Becky and Kristine

So, just to prove me right or wrong, I have a question to ask,

When you think of Hurricane Katrina, what comes to mind?

Not sure where you are going with this Debbie, but without thinking about it, the first thing was the people in the football stadium. If I was to think a little, the breaking of the levy or the animals some folks were forced to leave behind.

the post on facebook for Kristine that I saw was yesterday and it said that she was at the hospital. So I am thinking she is at home, now.

So now on top of dealing with the nausea I am having Headaches almost every day. My OB said it would probably happen from week 15 to about week 20.
