I will join those of you in a funk. I'm sure that I'll work my way out of it soon, but for right now, it's easier just to go along with it.
I spent most of the day yesterday cleaning and prepping at the preschool. (Unpaid time...) They decided to run our class with the 5 students registered and hope for a few more. It should be an easy year in that respect.

We have planning next Tuesday, another day or so in cleaning/prepping the classroom, and several days prepping projects, etc. (More unpaid time...)
We received the proof book and price list for Laura's senior pictures. I really like a couple of them, but the prices are outrageous. I knew that they would be high, because Matthew went to the same place two years ago. They have increased enormously since then...in two years!

I just can't afford to order much. The sitting fee and what they charged me for the useless proof book was
4x what I paid for Matthew. The picture packages haven't quadrupled in price, but they are about 1.5x the price and come with fewer options. I think that I'm just going to do some myself. I'm beginning to think that senior pictures are quite the scam. I'm hoping that I can get her to cooperate with me taking some to have made into the wallets and also for my parents. They won't be professional, but they will be good enough.
Matthew e-mailed that they are getting settled well in the apartment. They biked to the grocery store yesterday and said that it's not a bad ride at all. As long as they don't need to buy too much or anything too heavy/bulky that will work well for them. One roommate has a friend with a car that visits once or twice a month so they will plan the bigger trips for then. I still miss him, but I'm glad that he is doing well.
Laura can't find the paper detailing her summer project, so we will be searching her room and the house for that today. She needs to take the lead and get this done. She's too old for me to be walking her through it. (That doesn't mean that I won't be doing a lot of nagging in the coming days.)
Kristine, I'm still thinking of you and sending plenty of

that time will go quickly and you'll have a beautiful baby in your arms.
Becky, I hope that you heal quickly and don't have too much pain.
It's great that so many of the DDA kids are having terrific first days of school. I hope they all stay that way!
I feel like we were at Disney World 100 years ago.
