Man what an eventful evening. My dad and brother came over to help install the a new hot water heater. Jeff had to go back to the store for something. I sat down next to my dad and he was having trouble breathing. I went to my van and got my stethoscope out ti listen to him better. I heard wheezing on both sides at the tops of the lungs, but diminished breath sounds on the right lower. He was also very pale/white. So I told him I was putting on my shoes and we were going to the ER The scary thing for me was his oxygen sats were 83% on room air. not good. we should be 95 to 100% It got the nurses and Dr in his room ASAP though. They transferred him to the hospital I work at by ambulance. The DR was just coming into the room when I got their. He wanted to do a CT scan to make sure it was just Pneumonia and not something else. I left the hospital at 1:15 and they had not taken him for the CT yet. He said they finally took him down around 2am, then they finally let him eat. He is getting breathing treatments every 4hrs, he is on Oxygen via face mask. His sats on oxygen are 93 to 95%. His color was much better when I left him last night and his breathing was less labored. I'm not sure if I will be able to get up to the hospital to see him today. as the area he is in no visitors under 12 are allowed. I will definatally see him tomorrow when I am at work.
