Hi all!! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth...though I did want it to swallow me up....maybe as I come to terms with what is going on I will be able to tell you all....for now though I just appreciate the love and prayers.
I went to my post surgery appt today...I nearly passed out even with pain medicine. They need to warn people that it can be a side effect of taking off the splint....and I should have realized that they were going to take the staples out today.
It turns out that I have 7 screws/pins and one plate in my ankle with some bone fragments/fissures still there...it seems that my ankle could have shattered if the surgeon had put the 8th pin in to stabilize the ankle...I never do anything half way.
I have to go back next week to get another cast put on because I couldn't keep my ankle at a 90 degree angle.

that you don't get it. Our newspaper is sensationalizing the predictions for this area. I guess that's how you sell papers. Today's headline: Blizzard could dump a foot of snow. The story goes on to say that we could have near hurricane force gusts and blinding snow falling more than an inch an hour. Every other weather report that I've read says 4"-6" and wind gusts of up to 28 mph. The kids are hoping that the superintendents believe the newspapers predictions.
