Good afternoon, DDA! :sunny:

I hope you all are having a good beginning to a new week. Take care!

Janet-I stayed in a cabin in 1997 with my girlfriend and her 2 & 4 year olds. They were nice & quiet but they seemed pretty remote to me. I remember it being a relatively long walk to the MK boat from our cabin but part of that was because there is no such thing as a straight line at Disney and we were staying on the curvy sidewalks. If I remember right you take an internal campground bus to the main bus stop to get a bus to the parks. We had a rental car so we drove to all the other parks.

The cabins share buses with Wilderness Lodge. I know when we stayed at WL we were never sure how many other stops the bus would make before we got to the parks. It was frustrating.

Well, Oma does have congestive heart failure but it is a mild case. She will be on medicine from now on. She is in good spirits.

Elizabeth-:wizard:Hope you're feeling better soon!!!

:wizard:Hope you hear good news about DS's school soon!!!:wizard:

Well I remembered (for once!) to say rabbit rabbit..shocking!!!
Today was an awesome day--very busy, but I got a lot done..now im relaxing and watching the bachelor (i got sucked in to it!)

I have been looking at the villas that are 40% off, but I have no idea which would be best. OKW & SSR are $1991, 10 nights room only. But for a little over $200 more we could stay in the cabins at Ft. Wilderness or at Wilderness Lodge.

Opinions please, we have never stayed at any of these. I know we would like the cabins, but I would not rent a golf cart to get around, would this be a big problem?

I would definitely say to go with a DVC resort over FW Cabins. While the cabins sleep 6 they are definitely not as upscale as the villas. There are internal busses at FW, but if you get a cabin near the marina you can walk to the ferry or catch a quick bus.

We've never stayed at WL, but visited Theresa there and it looked nice. You can also catch a ferry to MK from there.

SSR is very nice and we have enjoyed our stays there. We found the busses adequate and really enjoyed the food at the Turf Club. The pool was nice too.

OKW is our favorite. The Villas are large and we liked the feel of it. The kids loved the pool. The restaurants are okay there.

I'm home from my first double shift. Not too bad today, but I bet I'll be exhausted by Friday night. I will be working 5 days at the school, 3 of them as a para to a special needs boy.

Good morning. :)

Elizabeth - I hope you are feeling better today.

Terry - I'm glad Oma seems to be improving.

Good morning.

Terry - Here's hoping Oma continues to feel better!

Deb - Congrats on making it through Day 1 of a double shift! If anyone can do it, you can!

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day!!! Not a cloud in the sky, and the temperature soared to the mid-50's! It really felt like Spring! Of course, we are supposed to get rain showers later this week, but at least March came in like a lamb! It was so nice to see the snow in my front yard melt away practically before my eyes! The kids were able to play outside without coats when they got home from school!!! Hopefully, today will be more of the same!

Thanks for the thoughts on OKW. I wanted to stay AKL, but John decided on OKW, of course part of that is going through rehab so I might still get to stay AKL this trip.

Terry - I hope Hal's mother continues to improve. myBob's father was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh on Friday. They were concerned because he had pre-stroke symptoms. Must have been pretty severe since this hospital is 90 miles away from his house! Long story, short... they think it is an inner-ear problem coupled with a reaction to a medication change. We are hoping that he will come home in a day or so. He will be 94 this year! His "big brother" has a 95th birthday party next weekend in PA that I wish we could attend.

Hope he continues to do well!

Good Morning.

I expect a busy week. It's not confirmed yet, but I will probably sub 5 days at school plus 4 nights at the Restaurant and one meeting night. The good news is that I have the entire weekend off :cool1:

Good luck this week! Sounds like it could be a tiring one, but the weekend off at the end is great.

Well, Oma does have congestive heart failure but it is a mild case. She will be on medicine from now on. She is in good spirits.

I'm glad she's in good spirits and that meds can help. Hope she's doing better.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Good morning, DDA! I'll be back after dance class to post some CA report, an update in general and an explanation of my FB post about my crazy weekend with too much drama. See ya soon!

Okay, so I still can't get an trip report in yet as Terra is on the other computer, but I'll get it up later today or tomorrow for sure. However, I did get a chance to update our tickers a little bit. Unfortunately, our December trip is off, but as you can guess I'm not going to argue with the reason why....
