Hi everyone! Its been a wonderful day full of surprises..Today is my grandfathers 80th birthday..Most of us live in the area, but i have an aunt, uncle, 3 cousins, 2 of their husbands and a baby that live in colorado--and another cousin is stationed in colorado ...Well they were all here today!! I knew about everyone except my cousin in the air force. We were all talking and he just walked in--i was so surprised--so we hadd a picnic today and were all doing something tomorrow--i am exhausted but its a good exhausted

So far I have stayed at:

and soon BWV

So I have BLT to stay at DVC and GF to stay at resort wise. I have zero desire to stay at GF, so I guess I'll make BLT my next family destination. I guess I'll plan that for Christmas 2011. Hmmmmm, that will take a ton of points.

I think we'll be back at OKW for Christmas 2011. Christmas 2011 is on a Sunday. Should I come down for Christmas weekend, or should I come down for New Years??

And yes, I'm planning for 2011. Since my waitlist came through, I am officially done planning for 2010. I must be in planning mode at all times.

Monday sounds good! Where are you staying this time? We're at Boardwalk. Our first time there. Can't wait!

We are at Beach Club again this year (not villas), Stephanie. We will spend 95% of our time in Epcot so it is the logical location.

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. Everything went so nice. I am so happy with the picture that I had done of Alyssa. I will post more "family" pictures later, if anyone wants to see them.

You are my hero!!!! I have been thinking about our 2011 March trip but haven't actually started planning yet. Chuck & I are also hoping that his business does well this year so we can go in October. Too early to tell yet. The one thing that keeps me going is thinking about or planning my next Disney trip.

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

The picture of Alyssa is amazing. I love her hair, veil and dress, but she herself looks like a china doll -- so beautiful! I hope you had a nice visit with family and friends.

Steffy -- Have you been during Christmas and before/during the New Year? We've been right before Christmas and right after/ through the New Year. The latter is much more expensive as far as room and much more crowded in my opinion. BUT, two nights of the best fireworks of the year IMO is pretty amazing.

Did you know of someone who had a bad experience at the GF? I don't think it's much different than the Yacht/Beach, except the GF has the main building and the lovely orchestra and is fun to hang out in. It is not stuffy as everyone has the impression it might be. The Ritz or Four Seasons -- those are places I feel uncomfortable in. While it does have some upscale places to eat, I thought the people at Cali Grill were much more dressed up than the people at Narcoossee's or Citrico's. (With the exception of V&A's where all guests are dressed up.) Yachtsman had some dressed up, and some people from the parks. Have fun planning, wherever you decide to stay!

Good Morning

Colby and Chris made me breakfast in bed. It was wonderful. They even let me sleep until 10

Colby made me a self portrait in art class and a paper flower. He also wrote a lovely note thanking me for everything that I do for him.
Nick made me a glass pendant. They melted different kinds of glass into a little square form. That was also in art class.
Hunter gave me a hug. He said his class didn't do anything even in art class

Of course my new droid was the big gift from them all. We've been having fun playing with ringtones and all the apps.

Marci - We have stayed at almost all the WDW resorts and the one we like the least is the GF! It makes me a little sad because it had been Bob's dream to stay there ever since he sat on the beach at the Poly in 1988 and watched as they were building the Grand. We didn't have a bad experience there, but just didn't get that magical feeling like we do at most of the other resorts.

When were you at the Poly in 1988? We were there at the beginning of June for our honeymoon. (We were married May 28th but didn't leave for a couple of days.) It's funny, because I was the same way watching them building the GF and saying that's where I wanted to go. Now it's not anywhere the top of my list, though we never stayed there. I just would much rather stay at some of the other resorts.
