Hey DDA! Happy Mother's Day!

My wait list came through for the Boardwalk villas for Saturday and Sunday October 2nd and 3rd. I know some of you will be there for the Food and Wine. We need to meetup.

Saturday Terry and I will be at EPCOT. Sunday we are doing MNSSHP. So we have free time Saturday night (Jellyrolls? Kimonas?) And Sunday morning. (breakfast at Cat Cora's?)

Is anyone still going to be there Monday morning before our flight? We are beyond excited.

Update on dad. on Thurs. evening they attempted the chemo. He tolerated it for a little while, but when they went to increase the rate his lungs could not tolerate it. Yesterday afternoon they tried again. They managed to get the first 100mls in. But when they went to hang the other 600mls his lungs again could not tolerate it. Yesterday when I went to see him they had his oxygen changed to a nasal canula and a non rebreather,. overnight they had to put him back on the bi map machine. Hopefully when mom gets their his sats will improve. The nurse asked mom if she had talked to the hematologist and the oncologist and mom told her no the only Drs she had talked to were the lung drs. and mom was their all day yesterday they did not run her out. The nurse said its because he was doing so well. She said let me look and see if the chart says why. In the chart it says sats in the 80's except when wife at bedside then its in the 90's. Please keep praying for that miracle. Olivia told me Thurs. to tell the drs to move her papa to a different floor so she could come see him. No one under 14 is allowed in ICU.

Today I'm barricading myself in the office, and studying all day long! I just have to catch up! Our cable went out, so I won't have the distraction of TV. I'm just popping on to wish everyone a happy mother's day! I'll see y'all on Sunday night!

I just sent Jeff a text about 5 minutes ago saying I felt this need to go shopping as I dont own anything black. Have not felt this need all week. Mom calls me not 2 minutes after I send that text and said that, They tried to put him back on the canula and non rebreather but his sats are not coming up above 85% The lung Dr is supposed to come talk to them about 1115. I am afraid they are going to finally put him on a vent.

I have been working on cleaning out a bunch of stuff this morning. I am going through years of clothes, books, toys, etc. In some ways it is so hard to see it go into donation piles, but we can't live with this much stuff in the house. It will be nice when I can get it all cleaned up, painted, fixed, etc. I'm on a quick break, but I have to get back to it soon.

We upgraded our phones today. I got a droid. We're having fun playing with it.

Would it help if you were with them? Maybe it would calm him and help his breathing? You said it is stage 4, have they given him any idea of how fast this might progress?

no as it is a slow growing cancer. The drs are saying that if they can get dad thru the chemo they are saying a 90% cure chance. The problem is the chemo they use the side effect is lung distress. His lungs are week from just batteling the pneumonia plus for smoking for all those years. They are going to try to keep him off the vent till they start the chemo as it increases the risk for infection.

Hi everyone! Its been a wonderful day full of surprises..Today is my grandfathers 80th birthday..Most of us live in the area, but i have an aunt, uncle, 3 cousins, 2 of their husbands and a baby that live in colorado--and another cousin is stationed in colorado ...Well they were all here today!! I knew about everyone except my cousin in the air force. We were all talking and he just walked in--i was so surprised--so we hadd a picnic today and were all doing something tomorrow--i am exhausted but its a good exhausted
