Hi Bernadette! we're going with sleeping on the sofa!

I can't sew and am not good at projects, but what could I do to make the trip special for him? I know you make outfits and stuff... can't do that. Maybe I could make a countdown loop paper chain or something.

He loves to draw and color. He also loves playing his drums. Hmmmmmm. Isn't there and activity something like that available at AKL?

AKL has lots of kids activities. I think I might end up doing a few with Emma as I think I have to make this trip slower paced given the way I feel.

I woke up feeling better today thinking perhaps I didn't really need to go to the doctor. Then I got up. As soon as I move I can't breathe.

Stephanie - I don't know about the studios, but the 1 br villas have the fold out chair as well as the couch. Like a twin instead of a full bed. Would that be easier to open for you? Hopefully they are in the studios as well.

Also, I would doubt any other Airtran discount comes before March. It had been quite awhile before they had this latest one.

The studios do not have the pull-out chairs, just the sofas. But the sofas are not that hard to pull out. We just leave it pulled out the whole time and navigate around it. The biggest issue is what to do with all of the throw pilows and cushions. We stacked some of the pillows on top of the armoire, put some in a drawer. I specifically asked Housekeeping to take the throw pillows but they wouldn't. There are throw pillows on the couch and on the bed so they really get int he way.

I was going to mention the Aitran e-mail that came out today. Those fares are $23 cheaper each way than what I paid. Story of my life. But the sale doesn't go up into June, so maybe my dates won't drop in price.

We found that a few stack nicely on the wall side of the queen bed, making a night stand! On top of the armoire also works. And we also got a little creative standing them upright along the wall near the table. Of course, we were navigating all this with four women, so things were tight anyway. I think Stephanie has a 1 BR, though... maybe I am wrong!

I still like the idea of DGS sleeping right on the unopened couch.

Remember, if AirTran drops their prices you can easily get a credit for any additional fare you paid. You have a year to use it. We have done that a couple of times and it is how (along with a couple of those vouchers) I got such a great deal on my early December airfare!

Elin, we did stand the sofa cushion on end between the sofa and the nightstand. And we shoved those 2 little coffee table things over to the side by the patio door. I think they expect parties of more than 2 people to book larger villas.

I didn't think Airtran was doing price adjustments anymore? I thought they had gotten on the bandwagon with American where your only option is to cancel and rebook if the fare drops more than the cost of the change fee. I guess I will keep watching and if the fares on my flight do drop I will call them. As of now they are the same price I paid.

I slept in this morning as I haven't been sleeping well at night My DH was wonderful and handled the kids so that I could sleep. My plans for the day are to make 7 blankets. The rest of the family will help once they get home, but I need to get a start on it. I think that it is doable though.

If they made the change since late November, then you could be right. But I had 4 one-way fares over the past few months that dropped. And credit was put into my account to use within a one year time frame. It will be interesting to see if it has been changed. It is one of the reasons I like to book them!
