DDA Chapter 24

Good morning, DDA!

It's another beautiful (but cold!) day in the neighborhood. I woke up this morning to a snuggly girl crawling in my bed. What a perfect way to wake up. It's odd coming home after she goes to bed since I'm always the one get ready for bed with her. I came home last night and didn't quite know what to do with myself.

Now, I'm thinking about heading to Chick-fil-a for some breakfast and then tackling some gift wrapping! Sounds like a good morning too me!

Have a good one everybody.

Hello all!

Deb - That is great news!!! I'm so glad everything is working out so well all around.

Tammi - Love the wreath!

Anne Marie - Happy birthday to Katie!

Becky - Glad it wasn't too cold! Yikes! The queueless waiting sounds intersting.

Thanks to everyone who has sent Christmas cards this week. I love them all!

Tia, thanks for the great dittoable post. And I hope you get some down time today!

Beth, I don't think I commented on the loss of Blackberry. I am so sorry.

The girls and I are enjoying opening up the cards, thanks!!! I think we are sending out Happy New Year's cards. No pictures yet of the girls as Lu's face is a mess. :(

We transitioned Lu to her new big girl bed last night. Let's hope it continues to be just as easy as it was last night! (Cross your fingers and whatever else you can!!) Em and Mo also got new bunkbeds a couple of weeks ago, all part of their Hanukkah gifts. We are redoing Em & Mo's room over Christmas break as part of their gift. They need NOTHING so we thought this was just a good a present as any! They are getting a few things from Santa but not much.

The biopsy report is in and he definitely does NOT have cancer. In fact the tumor had very few abnormal cells at all. He has virtually 0% chance of it ever coming back. The will monitor him just to be sure, but it looks like we are in the clear:cool1::cool1:

:cool1::cool1::thumbsup2:thumbsup2:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hope the transition goes well! Erin moved Kaylin a few weeks ago. She was getting up a lot until they put up her little Christmas tree last week, which she LOVES. Erin told her the tree could stay if she'd stay in her bed at night. Has worked like a charm so far. The question is...will they ever be able to take down that little tree now?!?! ;)

I had a lovely breakfast on my own this morning. No carseats meant I couldn't take Chase and Terra wanted to stay and watch Charlie and Lola anyway. It was beautiful to sit quietly and enjoy my Chicken Minis. Then I wandered the mall for a few minutes and scored a cute shirt on sale for Terra to wear in her choir program on Sunday night.

Now I've got some Disney Chrismtas music going and am going to head over to my wrapping table. (Okay, so it's the dining room table, but it has become a make-shift wrapping station. I'm always a little envious of people when design shows make them a gift-wrapping station, but then also wonder who really needs a special place for one year-round.)

FYI - You can buy Disney gift cards at Walgreens!
They had 3 designs - Plain Mickey, Mickey & Minnie celebrate, and Toy Story. Same cards I used to get at the Disney Store. No fees, you can load $15 - $500 on them. I read that somewhere on the boards in the past few days, but today I actually went to Walgreens and bought one so I am 100% sure.

Thanks you Theresa, Cassidy and Abby for the wonderful package for Terra and me. We love the ornaments and Terra loves the little extras. She's always wanting to get Don't Break the Ice, so that was perfect! We're also short on empty coloring pages thanks to lots of coloring hands around here so that will be well-used as well. Thanks again to you all!

I saw that the other day too. I'm so excited since we don't have any Disney Stores anymore!!!

We managed to keep a few of our Disney Stores, but none of them are in the malls I frequent. I pass a Walgreens EVERY DAY on my way to get Princess, so this will be SO convenient! :)

R.I.P. Roy Disney. This is so sad. One day later than Walt. Uncle Walt died on December 15th, now Roy on December 16th. So sad.:sad1::sad1::sad1:

Elizabeth thank you for the Christmas card.

Thanks for this little tidbit!!!!!!!!

We go to Disney tomorrow!!!:woohoo:

Anne Marie, have a fabulous trip!! :wizard: :)

Airfare is making me angry. SW released their absolutely asinine fares ($1124), then American raised theirs so now they are even HIGHER than SW ($1149). Airtran has reasonable fares BUT I am not sure I trust them. There is only one non-stop per day out of DFW, and one AM non-stop out of MCO. If they cancel the non-stop we will be traveling for 6-8 hours. Going TO Orlando that would just make me extremely mad. Coming home it would be a bloody disaster because DH has to go to bed so he can work the next day. Also, that AM flight out of MCO leaves at 8 AM, so we would have to be on Magical Express at 5 AM. On the other hand, for a savings of $400, I can get on Magical Express at 5 AM.

Quick! Everyone tell me your Airtran stories! And tell me your Orbitz stories while you are at it!
