Hunter is being so cute. He keeps asking me how many people are following us on twitter and he gets excited each time a new person starts to follow us :goodvibes Thanks for making his day.

Congratulations to Cassidy :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thank you all for your responses. I will see if it can be fixed & then decide how I want to give it to him :thumbsup2

Beth and family. Thank you so much for the goodie package. That will help tremendously with occupying the boys time at the hospital. It came at the perfect time :goodvibes

ETA did you make the can you find toys? Those are amazing.

Congratulations to Cassidy!!

So, it is cold in my house. My furnance isn't working. I have a repairman coming out tomorrow afternoon. He is the husband of my Religion coteacher, so I know I won't get taken advantage of. Luckily the heat pump still works, but that heats the upstairs, or tries to, while the furnace heats the first floor. I had the gas fireplace on for a little while yesterday, but that gets so expensive. I'm hoping for a simple, inexpensive fix!

Have a great day!

Hope it's a cheap fix! My cousin posted this morning that there's went out too with 16 degree temps this morning. Not the season for it!

I opened a twitter account. If anyone cares to follow it on Friday I think you'll need to get an account, my username is Vermontmomof3

Oh, great idea! I'm following and was able to add it to my iGoogle so I can catch the updates frequently!

Good morning, DDA! I didn't have time to catch up this morning, but I should have a little time later.

Miles is going to school in the same jacket that he wore yesterday with this note.

I think that sounds great! (Despite any sarcasm, or maybe because of!) I hope it worked.

I had called my grandpa yesterday to get a ride to the interview as it is fairly close and the time was extremely close. Well, I am glad I did...the interview lasted 2 minutes I think:rotfl2:. I think the gentleman was just checking to make sure that people could dress properly and wanted the position.

We are getting more snow and we will probably not get above zero before the weekend again.

Glad it went well, even if it was short.

Deck the halls with Valium & Vodka...fa la la la la, la la la la

our theme song

:rotfl: Hope it wasn't too bad. Dad took a delivery to Detroit leaving yesterday evening and it on his way back now. He wasn't looking forward to hitting your weather.

I have been keeping something from you all.

Thursday John and I will meet my sisters boyfriend. (her first ever real boyfriend)

Hope it went well!

Sadly, my hibernation was interrupted by my scatterbrained son who informed me he needed supplies to make a gingerbread house by 7:30 am! So out I went, wearing my fuzzy lounge pants, a pink coat and boots....I did however make him go in and buy the supplies.....so at least no one saw my insane outfit. :scared1:

I've been out like that a lot - usually the convenience store. I figure I've seen people there in worse so they can deal with my flannel pants and t-shirt.

If you could keep my friends and their son Mason in your prayers that would be appreciated. Amber went in yesterday for a standard non-stress test. She ended up delivering Mason yesterday via emergency c-section about a month early.

They knew head of time that some of his intestines would be outside of his chest. So he had surgery to repair that early this morning. The doctors are positive about his prognosis but any positive thoughts are appreciated for the whole family.

I hope they are doing well today. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them.

I'm home. It was great seeing everyone! Wish we could have spent more time together! I have to say I was actually ready to come home. It was really hard to leave Emma. The weather was a mixed bag. I got sick.

I hope that everyone is doing better now! I'm sorry your trip was a little down because of all the sickness.

It's sounding like the DDA meet was a lot of fun. I'm sorry I missed it. :(

Me too. :(

Oh....I love technology sometimes!!!

I just got e-mail notification that Cassidy was accepted into her school of choice!!:cool1::cool1:

Now, if I could just get her confidence back up in her musical abilities so that she felt she could get into the music dept. as a major and not just as a minor.

Woohoo!!! Congrats!

Mom's troop made some of those for a Children's Hospital waiting room one time. They were really pretty easy if anyone is ever looking for a project idea.

Elin or Heidi--I know you guys asked for the recent addresses of our DDAers--did either of you keep a list of them on your computer that you could send me so i can do my christmas cards? I dont have any list anymore..thanks! or if anyone wouldnt mind, could you pm or email me your addresses? Thanks :)

We're having the boys pictures taken at 5:15 tomorrow. I probably won't have time to order cards this year :sad2: I guess we've had a few other things on our mind. Heck, I don't even know what I've bought or what I need for Christmas and I haven't wrapped a thing

Hello DDA!

Thank you Elin, Marci and Heidi for the Christmas cards! They were a ray of sunshine on a cold, windy day.

After a crazy busy day yesterday, today's was blissfully quiet. I got to sleep in, Terra and Chase played together the better part of the afternoon, and my evening is commitment free. What could be better! I do have go get out in the cold night as it's the last day for Phil's 40% off days at work, but that won't be too bad. Though, I may just have to treat myself to a nice hot peppermint mocha trio to arm up. ;)

While prayers are being said, one of my good friend's sons could use prayers. He is 9yo and they were out with their atvs and motorcycles on Sunday. He was hit by a sand (something) - essentially a dune buggy - and was airlifted to the hospital Sunday night. They did surgery to repair a broken femur with pins on Monday and he was doing okay. He's also got fluid in his lungs and abdomen, but they think that will be okay and go away as he heals.

:wizard::wizard:We will include him in our prayers

Cute story. Colby was taking his bath and he told me that he really likes that lady that made him the find it pillow :goodvibes He asked if we can make some someday and give them to people to make them happy:littleangel:

what all is in your can you find toys. Was thinking of making one or two of those for the girls to help with the car trip to WDW next year.

it's a pillow with a see through window with beads in it. With in that it has little trinkets that are different from the beads (i.e. mine has a snowglobe eraser in it) with a list of what to find in the pillow. They are fun!!

The ones that she made for us have a little baseball bead, a red bell, a green bell, specific erasers, letter beads for each letter of their names. I think you could just find any little items, maybe trip related and add it to an attached list.
