Ok I need a honest opinion from who ever cares to respond. I was really hoping to get the boys laptops for Christmas, but that is not going to happen. I still have my 1st laptop & was thinking if(& that is a big if)it can be fixed that maybe I could give it to Garrett for his Birthday.

Would that be tacky gifting him something I had previously used or should I just give to him not as a gift?

my opinion is as a gift. But I am one that shops yard sales and thrift stores for good bargains.

Janet - I would say just give it to him. If he were younger, that would be different. But he is old enough now that he might feel bad about getting something "used". You know him best though. If you think it wouldn't bother him, then I say go for it!

I have my final tonight for my class (I need to study!!!). I also need to present 2 lessons in class before the final so I need to pull the supplies together for those. Once it's over I'll be certified as a senior staff for daycare or a preschool teacher. And hopefully a job won't be far behind.

I just got e-mail notification that Cassidy was accepted into her school of choice!!

Now, if I could just get her confidence back up in her musical abilities so that she felt she could get into the music dept. as a major and not just as a minor.

She finally called.....I asked her to spell Uncle for me....it took her 3 times of me stopping her at the c and saying you got in before she got it.

Yes, Stephanie was looking forward to "Drink O' Day".

I just ordered our cards from Sam's, but DH won't pick them up until Friday. For whatever reason the Sam's near us isn't one of the pick-up options, so he has to get them from the store near his work. He will be finished for the day before they are ready tomorrow, so Friday it is. I am out of stamps anyway, so not like I would get them mailed out any sooner.

I have trip pics up on Facebook, and I have others up in my trip report. Loading them to PhotoBucket took longer this AM that I expected so it is still a work in progress.

If it's tacky, then I'm tacky. That is exactly what I did - twice - once for Katrina and once for Becky the next year. I did buy a special software package for them as part of their gift as well to "upgrade it" a little.
