I checked online tonight and saw the credit for the damaged backpack and the one I bought but she didn't like but not the online return but typing this I think that was on my Amex card. So it seems like it went through OK.

Oh and I got the $1,135 deposit back on my May Pop room only that should have been $135. That CM also used my name but Dorinda's address. Now I have a package on that trip. The 2nd CM was much better!

Nicholas' team won their playoff game, so we have at least one more week of football. The last 2 minutes of the game was a nail-biter though.

How did it go?

The first time we went to Potomac Point Winery I joined the Wine Club. My first "shipment" is ready to pick up at the winery so Kristin and I are going over there this afternoon for lunch at their bistro and to pick up the package. It will have 2 bottles of wine (one red and one white), a bottle of their custom olive oil and a gourmet food item. I am excited to see what I have in there!

And it is a glorious crisp fall day here so it should be perfect!

We skipped church today as many people in the parish are sick with flu like symptoms. (Even the head of the youth religious development group who my kids would have direct contact with.)

I will. Both Lizzie & Emma have asked for it. I thought the first one was much better than I expected.

After a horrendous night I ended up at Urgent Care this morning, I've had what I believe to be a sinus headache for days now, last night it got to the point I almost had DH take me to the ER, I made it till this morning and went to UC, she seems to think that it could be something else and wants me to have a CT, so I left there with a shot of Toradol, a prescription for Fioricet/Codiene and orders for a CT. I don't think I'm going to rush out and have the CT done, I really still feel like it's sinus related.

Hope you find some relief!

We helped Nick with a writing assignment tonight. This is what we came up with

We moved about 10 cord of wood off the hill into a pile at the bottom. It was alot of work, but we had friends and family to share the workload. After we got home I filled the wood shed, loaded the furnace and changed the outside lightbulbs that were burnt out. I also cleaned the garbage out of my car. After I came in and cleaned myself up I helped Nick and Hunter wil homework. I think we've got is all finished now. Maybe we can relax until bedtime.

Sounds exhausting.

Friday evening we are headed back to the winery for this! They are having a Haunted Taste & Treats pairing! Since I am a member of their Wine Club it is only $15 pp, so it seems like a great deal.[/B]

So Gene tried to take Lizzy to a public flu clinic yesterday-you had to be over 9-but when he got there they didn't have any-the first 2 clinics were for over 65. It might have been a good thing though because while we knew she had a cold we didn't realize it was worse than that. They weren't home long when she got a fever-it was 102.4 last night. She stilled had one this morning-101 so she won't be going to school tomorrow. Now she has a barky cough so we'll have to keep a very close eye on her.

Well, today I start a new shift at work. I'll be working 11.5 hour days, but the beauty is that I'll only work 2 days in a row, and then have 2 days off. Every other weekend I'll either have a 3 day weekend, or I'll have to work 3 days. The 3 I work the kids will be with their dad so that won't be a big deal. Wish me luck!

I'm off to work. After work I need to pick up some kind of treat for Hunter's class. They'll celebrate his birthday at snack time. That means I only have a very few minutes to get to the store then to the school. Hopefully his day will go well. I'm sure he will be tired and achy when he gets home tonight.

Good morning! This is gonna be a crazy week, we have 1:15 dismissal, but I have parent/teacher conferences tonight/Wednesday and tomorrow and thursday afternoon...whew

How is it only 7:45?!?! Terra was just asking to go on the computer. I started to turn and say "we need to get ready for bed soon", but caught the time just before I spoke. I swear it feels more like 10! I think I'm going to turn the computer over to her, go find my jammies, grab some pumpkin bread and find something to watch on tv. Maybe football won't have messed up the schedule too much this week and I'll actually be able to watch Cold Case, plus I caught that new Three Rivers show last week and think I like that one too.

Yay that football didn't mess up the tv schedule! I also like Three Rivers, but I haven't found anyone else who has watched it. I am worried that it won't last long.

Good luck with the conferences! Our elementary school has four half days (11:10 dismissals) for conferences over the next month. Every parent has a conference with the teacher. The middle and high school don't.

There were 292 students absent from the high school (roughly 1400 total) on Friday with "flu-like" illness. Most were 9th graders. I hope it doesn't spread any further. I don't know that anyone actually has the flu either, because there are a couple of other viruses going around.

Please have it checked out! If it is a sinus infection, you may need antibiotics to help clear it up.
