The dresser is together but the crib has to wait until the floors are done in the babys room - there is no way it would make the turns (or fit through the doorway) if we put it together now. Thanks for asking!

Sounds like you need to be charging more! ;)

I charge plenty. Just not on THAT card! :rotfl2:

We only got that card because we got a $100 gift card with it. It was some DVC member thing. I did charge our APs on it yesterday so we will have over $20 in rewards now, but those dollars won't show until the statement closes, and by then we'll be too close to departure to order the card.

I have to apologize for posting day 6 again! Just goes to show that I'm letting too much time pass in between postings. I promise to try to wrap it up by Thursday morning (I'm going out of town for a week, and want to finish it up by then). So, here are the pictures of Day 6. There are not many, but here's what I have:

I'm not good at this. If one of your friends had a death in their family, what type of food/dish would you make and take over?

This will not help now, but in the winter I took a big pot of beef stew with french bread over to my friends family.

Maybe with the warmer weather, potato salad, macaroni salad, or some type of casserole that they can reheat?

Finger sandwiches or stuffed rolls is always nice. That is something they could use for a meal, snack or even after the service. If you're looking for something more hearty you can't go wrong with a crock pot of baked beans or chili, maybe goulash :confused3

What do you mean by stuffed rolls? Like deli sandwiches? Maybe I could get a meat/cheese tray with rolls and a side. Here it is too hot for things like chili or stew.

We would make or buy dinner rolls, slice them vertically and fill them with things like sliced ham, egg salad, tuna, ham salad, etc. That way they are all prepared for them. A deli platter would work too.

I agree with Deb. Something quick that they could grab on the go or a casserole that can be popped in the oven and reheated. My mom is known to drop off a bucket of fried chicken and cole slaw.

I would caution against bringing anything that has to be refrigerated or frozen unless you know for sure they have room to store it.

When DH's friend died, his SIL pulled me aside and warned me that some of the stuff had been sitting out at the house and might not be safe to eat.

Maybe it would be better to go with breads or cookies or something that can be at room temperature? Or maybe contact a close friend of the family who has been at the house and ask if the fridge is overflowing?

Do you have Panera? They have bagels and things, plus different breads. Maybe bagels and a couple of small containers of flavored cream cheese? In case space is an issue going for something non-perishable would be my suggestion.

Tammi-sorry for your friends loss.

Glynis-really loving your TR & photos! Love your T's!!!!

Tom-hope you can get some rest and a trip in Dec!:wizard::wizard::wizard: Maybe my DH will have such a great time in August he'll want to return for our 25th in September.:rotfl2:

Anyone have any suggestions for Sea World? I looked at undercovertourist and it looks like AAA is a cheaper option for tickets. Any place else I should look for tickets?

I booked a towncar (SUV) for transport to/from MCO. They also offer other transfers like Disney resort to Seaworld.

I think DH & the kids would really enjoy it.

The hours are 9am to 10pm. I don't think we'd want to stay til 10pm but anyone have an idea of when a good pick up time might be? I guess I really need to do more research and check show schedules and such. And go check out the seaworld board here on the dis!

I think Panera would be a good idea.

I have also given a gift certificate to a restaurant....that way they can get out of the house if they want, take it home if they want and eat what they want.
