You know, I was thinking about the grounding thing.
This is a public facility, so they would have had to have inspections before they were allowed to open. Not only that, but they would have had to meet certain criteria before they were able to be insured. Assuming they ARE insured, I would think they would have to be grounded. But maybe not.

The fire mashall has been in to inspect the wiring/doors etc. There is no body that governs public swim facilities such as this, if it were a spa or hot tub place there are lots of guidelines for it. We are the only facility of this type in the state and there are very few in the entire country. Boston would be the closest to us. We've all looked for guidelines as to how many lifeguards should be on deck etc, but there just isn't anything out there. I know that many of the other facilities with indoor pools such as hotels and fitness centers do not have their buildings grounded, therefore they evacuate the pools during electrical storms. Just like you would with any outdoor pool. I have chosen to stay there at least through the summer because it is very close to my home and the hours work well for our schedule. John and I open together and we are both mature adults and I am comfortable with our guarding and first aid skills as well as our common sense. I'm confident that when an incident does arise it will not be on the early morning shift, it will be when several high school kids are tending (or not tending) to things. The two of us a very good about covering our butts as we are aware of potential legalities.

Nicholas had his awards ceremony for the second semester this morning. He got a Perfect Attendance award and an Academic Excellence award. Now I have an Honor Student cling for the car window. He was surprised that he got two. He was only expecting the attendance award. If I remember correctly, had I not taken him out of school for the week for our vacation he would have had perfect attendance all year.

It's going...

Actually, I'm getting more range back, but I can't do the back of my hair yet or button or zip anything that meets on the sides or in the back. It's still frustrating and painful, but I'm happy I can see the progress and feel lucky that I should have all range back in anoher few months.

Thanks for asking. How are your boys, I mean men. They looked so grown-up in the last pictures you posted.

yes we are leaving here Wed. morning around 9am hope to get to arlington by 2pm the game is Wed night at 7 then six flags on Thur not sure what we will do Friday. morning early afternoon. We will head to Waco around 2ish stay overnight at FIL's and come back home early Sat evening.

There ARE properties that have a tiered pet allowance where you just pay more money, but ours states one pet MAX, period. That bit us in the tushy the last time we were looking for a cat, because the shelters call and ask the office how many pets you are allowed to have.

Marci - I am sorry the shoulder rehab is progressing so slowly!

DH gave Little Cat a manicure the other day. His claws were sharper than anything I have ever seen. Now that they have been clipped they aren't quite so bad. Bad enough, but not as bad as they were!

We are still waffling on names. We are still waffling on what to do with him.
