DDA Chapter 20

Today I had planned to design and print about 200 certificates for our Awards Banquet at the Virginia Federation of Music Clubs' annual convention next week. However, I have not yet received the names of the winners from our state president. I have called her twice over the past two weeks and also emailed her. Turns out she is not reading her email and "kept meaning to get them in the mail to me" but she kept forgetting.

Unfortunately, if they don't come today or tomorrow there may not be any awards to award! Unlike many of the other state officers I work for a living. I have to teach all day Monday and Tuesday and need to leave here Wednesday morning by 10:00 in order to be at the Finance Committee meeting by 1:30. The only other option would be for me to pack up my printer and laptop and do the work in my hotel room after all the meetings are over and when I should be sleeping. I am not a big fan of that option.

Elin, could you design them with a write-in for the name, print them, and mail them to the state president to fill in all the names? I'm becoming a big believer in getting the ball back into someone else's court.

That said, I finally received the important information that I need to copy for this meet (that starts today) late last night, so I need to get myself out the door.

I've been up since 4:30...to do what?!?! WORKOUT! The world may come to and end today!! Last night at GS's I was talking to my girlfriend and she told me I needed to come over and keep her company while worked out. So the plan is MWF from 5-6am. Maybe, just maybe, this will be the boost I need. I've been stalled at 40lbs for a while now. And as much torture as it was, it was fun to have someone to suffer right alongside of me!

Hope that plan works well for you, especially since it sounds like the one Kristi is trying to talk me into. After this week when she's finished with school and everything surrounding it, we're talking about doing the trial period at Club Fitness. The only time we can figure out how to make it work well, 5am. Yikes! Guess we'll see how it goes.

Good morning, DDA!!! Thanks for all of the birthday wishes! Hopefully it will turn out to be a pretty good day. Well, minus the cleaning for company and laundry. Depending on when the baby gets picked up, Terra and I may go swimming this afternoon, plus dinner and ice cream tonight.

And now, it's time to get the baby down for a nap, get some laundry going and finish off this playroom. Oh yeah, and I've got to return to Adventureland. While cleaning yesterday, I made it as far as Adventureland in my musical tour of the Magic Kingdom. Hoping I can finish the cleaning before the end of Wishes. Catch you all in a little bit!

Good morning! It is another stormy morning here Oh well I have no plans anyway. I do have chili started in the the slow cooker though, seems like a good day for it!

Umm, where is my music?!?!?! I just opened my Windows Media Player and there are 10 songs in it, several of which are Rachel's. Oh so much organizing and renaming has been lost. And now it's pulling in all of my pictures too. Umm, I don't want it to do that. I just want the music. Argh!

Yeah! All of my organizing was recovered. I just had to go through the process of bringing all of the songs back into the player and it recovered all of the playlists, organization, etc. I was so not looking forward to redoing that for 2000+ songs.

I'm done work for the day and I've attended teacher appreciation parties for 2 of the kids teachers and handed out presents. I think I'll sneak in a nap then I've got laundry to do. I am also setting a goal for getting all of the boys wardrobes changed around. I need to put the winter stuff away and take out the summer. Of course I need them here when I take stuff out as they need to try it on. To make things more complicated I think Colby and Hunter need the same sized shorts this year

The only ones I would be interested in are Bistro Bethem and Poppy Hil. I haven't bought any yet. Still thinking on it. I don't like the fact that I can only use one $25 GC at a time. I want to be able to use 2 and have the entire meal paid for.

Debbie..I love your t-shirt. If you are worried, spray some scotchguard on he shirt...that crap works pretty well!!

I am 90% packed....last minute running around today. May be a soggy trip as I see rain EVERY day we are there!!

He acted like a 2 year old who didn't want to share "his" toys (which isn't really his) embarrassing the girls and I in front of company. Then when I talked to him about it.....he spent 1 and 1/2 hours spewing baloney. I finally told him I was done because I had to get up and once again do things that he didn't do.

Sooooo.........I get up (after he slammed the door on his way out at 5 AM) and he is asleep on the couch.

If I should be on later....make sure I haven't hurt him and that I've gotten some of the extra cleaning done.

I like to do about 5 clues. I make the difficulty variable based on the age of the child. I try to draw pictures of an object and hide a clue in that object. Like the refigerator, a bathtub, chair etc. If were outside I try to use easily identifiable places. The older boys read now so written clues work for them, but since I'm not a good artist the drawn pictures are probably more difficult

okay thanks I was thinking 5 or 6 clues. Picture clues probably as it is Olivia and Ryan who is 4.

sounds like we need the hitman we were going to get for Tammi to go to Colorado for you instead and take care of Dufus.for you and the girls. I hope Abi's party is fun tonight.
