...don't forget that AAA's website has maps too...they are better than Google and Mapquest. :teeth:

We used to get maps from AAA when I was a kid. When we planned our first trip to Florida (Disney included), we got lots of info from them. It was wonderful. Our whole trip was planned with those maps. We spent three weeks travelling to & from in the car. :cloud9:

Good evening, DDA.

Deb - Glad you had a good night at work.

Vicki - Glad you got Becky moved home. I bet it will be nice having her around more.

Tom - Love the pictures! That Snow White dress is amazing.

We had a good time at the movies this morning. The footage in Earth was amazing and Terra really liked watching all of the animals. After that, Kristi ended up going to pick up her new dog. They found a 9 month old Boxer puppy who was rescued from a breeder two months ago. She is so sweet and really calm. Kristi's been wanting one for awhile and it is her graduation present for the most part. On the other hand, it made Terra cry inconsolably for awhile. She wants a dog so badly and doesn't understand why the move that was supposed to be soon has been delayed so much. Seeing the others get a dog just set her off. Finally, we got her calmed down and she is feeling better about the fact that we will get one once we do move, but that until then we're kind of stuck.

We ended up going to Cici's pizza with Mom and Dad for dinner and now I'm trying to convince Phil and Terra that we need to go to Ted Drewes as my Mother's Day present, but they are being more difficult to convince than I was hoping. Maybe I'll luck out soon since they're almost done with a search-a-word puzzle Terra's doing.

We're headed to Six Flags straight from church tomorrow so I probably won't be around much. So...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY everyone.

I love our GPS, we take it everywhere. I'm sure we often take routes that are out of the way, but at least I know that if we take a wrong turn it will get us back on track.

Tom - Once again you've done a marvelous job and a wonderful thing :thumbsup2

Tia - I'm sorry Terra was so upset, one day you'll have your house and she'll get her puppy.

I spent much of my day practicing my carpenter skills, I spent my "surprise" refund check from the doctor on some additions to Brandon's "fort", I put up the rock climbing wall myself, and my DD's boyfriend helped me put the swing beam up. DH was at work today so he didn't get to help, I think we did a pretty good job, I'm not done yet, I plan on adding a floor on the bottom and putting rails on three sides so that the fort will have a first floor.

Mother's Day started early her this year, my daughter's got me three new rose bushes for my flower bed, and my youngest spent the morning pulling out the old scraggly ones and planting the new ones,

The lavender one is my favorite,

She also picked up these Pink Gerbera Daisy's, part of the money raised from them go to Breast Cancer research,

And last but not least DH came home from the store with these Friday,

The flowers are beautiful :goodvibes

Bernadette welcome back, look forward to hearing about your trip!

Thanks Janet,

I hit a root today while mowing the yard and bent the blade, you can see where I scalped the yard in front of the flower be before it finally died and we had to get a new blade. :sad2:

Welcome Home Bernadette, I must have missed your post, can't wait to hear all about your trip.

Opps!

I have wonderful memories of those AAA maps too, Vicki. And I remember when the TripTiks had radio stations listed in them. :goodvibes

Debbie - I loved all your flowers! You did a great job on Brandon's renovations. :)

Debbie - The fort looks great and the flowers are all beautiful. I'm thinking about getting some rose shrub type plants or some bushes for the front of mom's porch. I don't even remember what we took out of there a decade ago, but it looks so bare there.

Bernadette - Welcome home!

So I didn't manage to talk anyone into another trip out for ice cream, but Terra thinks she should take me tomorrow after Six Flags. That works for me, though Phil won't be with us under that plan. However, Terra's been out twice today and that surpasses her homebody limits - she is her father's daughter in some ways after all.

I guess that means we're headed to bed around here. Long day tomorrow, I'm sure. Night all.
