I am finally home! Is there anything I need to know? I don't think I can go back and catch up this time.
Hi Elin. How was your weekend? It's been very quiet here.

Janet - :hug:Hopefully you'll have some answers soon

Kristine - I saw a small portion of the news today about the swine flu, they said that pandemic just meant that it was a new disease

here is the email that I just got:

District 64 has been informed by the Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) that a confirmed case of H1N1 “swine” flu has been identified in a student at Washington School. On the specific advice from CCDPH, the school will remain open.

This is not my school...but it is our district. About 2 miles away. I am surprised in a way that they are staying open.
I'm surprised too. My kids brought home a note from the superintendent of schools talking about how proactive the county is being regarding this. No details of what they will do should we have a confirmed case. 2 schools in Maryland are closing for 14 days!

We still do not know what is going on with Gary. The scope today showed nothing, which is good. The Dr. ordered a lot of different blood work & he has to take more urine samples in. He said he has 10 times more the amount of protein in his urine than he should, so this is still the Dr's concern. He said that he might have to refer with another specialist to get his opinions. So we wait a while longer, this is getting to be so frustrating :sad2:

Janet, I am sorry you still do not have a diagnosis to work with! Good luck with the next round of tests! :wizard:

Chuck's mom was transferred to the hospital in Wausau. She still has a fast heartbeat. They are doing more tests. She may need a pacemaker. I hope that this is the end of all her health issues when they get it resolved.

Good thoughts for your MIL! :wizard:

Don't be a weenie. ;) Swine flu isn't a big deal. Dallas schools are still open, even though a bunch of the little podunk districts are closed. The warning not to congregate has fallen on deaf ears anyway - all those kids who are out are at the mall, the movies, all the places they were told NOT to go. Might as well be at school.

Heidi I am so sorry, I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday :flower3:

I'm up, of course I didn't sleep well knowing that I was going to have to get up early. I'm sure that will change eventually. My poor cat is so confused :confused3 He's meowed at me and then came to snuggle. He probably thinks I'm sick since I'm rarely up this early. Maybe he thinks we're going on a trip as we've gotten up this early to catch a flight :lmao: I certainly wish that I was heading to WDW instead of work. Oh well, gotta get going.

Good thoughts for her. :wizard: :wizard:

Hi Elin sorry I can't help with your catch up, but maybe someone can.

Sophie has a half day today so we are going out for lunch.

I was working on my adrs last night. Since August hrs are still not out, I am using TGM's July 09 & my schedule from last August. Those 2 don't match up...I hope the Aug hrs come out before Sunday (the 90th day). I am having a tough time trying to figure out where to eat too......too many choices.:)

Robyn,

Lucy is adorable!!!! She looks so much bigger. :goodvibes

I know that most of you on here are not as old as I am ;) but maybe you can appreciate this as much as I did when I got it in my inbox from a much younger friend this morning. Remember that Bob and I celebrated our 35th anniversary last July...

Older Women

After being married for 35 years, I took a careful look at my wife one day and said, "Honey, 35 years ago we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10-inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 22-year-old gal.

Now I have a $500,000.00 home, a $45,000.00 car, nice big bed and plasma screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 60-year-old woman. It seems to me that you're not holding up your side of things."

My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 22-year-old gal, and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, sleeping on a sofa bed and watching a 10-inch black and white TV.

Aren't older women great? They really know how to solve a mid-life crisis...
