Sophie has a half day today so we are going out for lunch.

I was working on my adrs last night. Since August hrs are still not out, I am using TGM's July 09 & my schedule from last August. Those 2 don't match up...I hope the Aug hrs come out before Sunday (the 90th day). I am having a tough time trying to figure out where to eat too......too many choices.:)

I was trying to work out my October schedule the same way with about as much luck as you are having, Anne Marie! The MNSSHPs are not on the same days of the week and I am wondering if Disney will once again tweak the EMH parks so I am at a standstill right now.

Have fun with Sophie! :goodvibes

Vicki - I hope you are settling in well in your new job. I did see mention of apartment hunting. Good luck! :) Also, I hope you and Chuck and your MIL get some answers to her problems very soon. :grouphug:

Marci - PT seems to be giving you troubles. I am so sorry.

Robyn - I know I said it on facebook last night, but Lucy looks adorable in her new glasses! :goodvibes

As a friend of ExMomboss was fond of saying, "Sounds like high class problems to me!" ;) Good luck figuring it out! I don't use park hours to plan my ADRs, which is a good thing since my ADRs have already started! :rotfl:

I know that most of you on here are not as old as I am ;) but maybe you can appreciate this as much as I did when I got it in my inbox from a much younger friend this morning. Remember that Bob and I celebrated our 35th anniversary last July...

Older Women

After being married for 35 years, I took a careful look at my wife one day and said, "Honey, 35 years ago we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10-inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 22-year-old gal.

Now I have a $500,000.00 home, a $45,000.00 car, nice big bed and plasma screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 60-year-old woman. It seems to me that you're not holding up your side of things."

My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 22-year-old gal, and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, sleeping on a sofa bed and watching a 10-inch black and white TV.

Aren't older women great? They really know how to solve a mid-life crisis...

Funny

:lmao:
I don't think I have ever been refered to as "high class" before in any part of my life!!! That cracks me up!!!!!!!!!!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Since you are such a good planner, I have a question. Do you take into account EMH's when you plan your adr's? Meaning what do you base your days on, just where you want to go or something else?

Elin,
I love your comments on "older women". I have to send that to some of my friends...3 of them are 50 or alittle over & they would get a kick out of it.

I intend to send it along to Bob. In case he was having any thoughts.

Well I am going to bit the bullet & get my MNSSHP tickets for Halloween today. We can't move around our dates so Halloween it is. I am sure it will be crowded but its better than not going at all. I am not thrilled with the price but MNSSHP is me & my families favorite thing at Disney & after much debate we decided that it is something we do not want to miss. :3dglasses

We need to compare schedules and adrs. You aren't using the actual date are you? Throw the date aside and look at the second Saturday, the second Sunday, etc. etc.

Enjoy your lunch!

AM EMH at MK is our "Non-negotiable" thing. We go to that no matter what, and those are always Tu & Th. I don't pay attention to PM EMH, except for trying to hit it at AK at least once. We never have managed to see that park in the dark. I was sick last year, and DS and DH went to MK instead of AK that night. We like to hit AM EMH at Epcot, which is always Sunday, but this year we are doing Sunrise Safari on one of our Sunday mornings.

DH and DS just can't manage the late nights because we are up every morning by about 5:30 AM. It is rare for us to catch Wishes. We have also found that PM EMHs are so crowded it is difficult to do or see anything. So park hours don't matter so much. For this year I filled in Mk on arrival day, Epcot for Day 2, US/IOA days 3 & 4. MK on my birthday. Then MGM and AK because we haven't done them yet. From there we will repeat parks based on AM EMH and/or safari and that sort of thing.

I am using the days of the last week in July as an estimate but that doesn't match up with last years August days.

Last year MK was green on Tuesday & Wednesday. If I use Julys hours then Tuesdays are no longer green, only Wed is. My head hurts.;)

We have always avoided AM EMH's but with the heat it might be a good idea to try that & then go back to the resort (which we can never seem to do)

Anne Marie - Have you joined his August Vacation Club in the forums? People are posting their itineraries. I'm comparing my days to others' itineraries, and it seems I'm on the right track. Now lets just hope they don't change EMH around, because that will screw us all up. I avoid them as well. We can't get to bed early enough to hit the morning hours.

I requested on the TGM to add me but they have not responded yet. August hours are up for Epcot & HS.

Tammi - I neglected to say that my weekend was great. I have some pictures to share when I find a minute to upload to Photobucket. How was yours? Are your parents still here?
