Terry did a storm come through? We just had the high winds that night, no rain or anything. The temps at night are down in the 50's and the next two days are supposed to be in the 80's then the rest of the week dropping to the low 60's.

No storm came thru here. It was a very quiet evening.

Good morning, DDA!

Well, DS has this horrible, congested cough but there is state testing this week. :sad2: No fever, so off he goes.

It is storming - we are supposed to have storms for the next 5-7 days. Fabulous! It should be an interesting week.

Sorry that DS is not feeling well. Poor Cassidy is sick but because we are so close to the end of school....off she went. Abi is off today, for some unknown reason.

We have a good 2 inches of new snow on the ground.

Girls weekend here in VA was wonderful but Bob got home right after I did yesterday. He did not have a very good trip to visit his father. :( Father is fine, brother is a crazy, messed up, bitter, angry.... you get the picture. He couldn't wait to leave!

Let me know if you want the coupon. It was in a mailer I got last week and I can't use it because I will be on another Girls Weekend but this time with Kathrin this week. She is flying into Newark to spend the Yamaha weekend with me!:yay:

I am sorry Bob didn't have that great of a weekend.

Two girls weekends in a row?? What a lucky mama!!:goodvibes

Theresa - how did Cassidy enjoy the prom?

Theresa - how did Cassidy enjoy the prom?

I was going to type up a trip report for you all first thing:lmao:

After pictures were done (some of the other kids had pictures taken with their parents). They went to a restaurant that Cassidy hadn't ever been to (chinese food). She said it was delicous! They split 4 entrees and egg rolls.

They were a little early to even to try and go to the prom site, so they went to a locally owned (but I think nationally recognized) Tattered Cover Book store. Cassidy said the other girls headed straight toward the history section and she threatened to call the history teacher to tell him that he had ruined her friends. :rotfl:

The Denver Art Museum was the site for prom http://www.denverartmuseum.org/visit_us/ ( they were in the north building...must have used two halls) and they couldn't figure out where to get into the parking garage. Must have been so funny to see their caravan of cars going around and around the parking garage.:rotfl:(only Josh is old enough to have more than one other teen in his car).

They had a ton of fun at Prom...they stayed until the end!! :lovestruc Prom King was a kid whose older siblings are my age, he then has 2 younger siblings. He is also a very talented kid who was the Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance this year. They stayed with other band kids and there are two couples they spent their time trying to figure out if they were a couple or not:rotfl:

She didn't tell me much about afte prom....but i am guessing it was okay. She came home at 3.

We spent a few hours looking at other kids prom pictures on facebook last night, including the group of "they think they rule the school" kids. Wonderful pictures and beautiful (for the most part) dresses. Blue seemed to be the predominant color.

Chris-it was nice to read you this morning!! Stop by more often.

Nothing much on tap here today....I eventually will have to do dishes:sad2:

Elin sorry Bob's time away was not as he had hoped. Yay for another girls weekend!

Elizabeth I hope ds is feeling better when he gets home :wizard:

Theresa glad to hear Cassidy had fun at the prom, hope she feels better soon as well!

I was thinking about it this morning, and I think DS will only have about 19 more days of classroom instruction.:scared: I REALLY hope he passes. :sad2:
He sounds HORRID. And I don't think he has a test today - I think his start tomorrow. So if he feels worse tomorrow we could be in trouble.
I am glad Cassidy had fun at prom! I hope she feels better soon!

I am sorry Bob didn't have that great of a weekend.

Sorry Bob has family drama. Maybe we should send all of these troublesome family members to some remote island and let them battle it out until none of them are left. :rolleyes1
I am glad you and Kristin had fun! I am sure next weekend with Kathrin will be wonderful! :)

Theresa - sounds like Cassidy had fun. I am so glad.

Off to work and then $1 Burger Night at Capital Ale House. I hope you all have good days and I will check in later on tonight! :wave2:

Work was blissfully slow today. It was such a wonderful change of pace from last week. Tomorrow will be even quiter as they have 5 guards on after 9 AM and we probably won't have many more swimmers than that :rotfl: I'm baffled by why we have so many guards this week, yet last week when we needed more we had fewer :confused3 Nothing that happens there makes logical sense and I haven't found out how to think illogically (Is that a word?)
It is in the 80s outside and yet our house is pleasantly cool. We kept the thermal drapes pulled and it has made a world of a difference. Maybe we won't have to run the airconditioning so much this year

As soon as the boys get home they need to have a snack then we are off to the vet with Riley. He hasn't been seen in 4 weeks so we'll see how he is doing on his meds. She also needs to take a look at his eye as it looks like he might be getting a cataract. From there we will head to Lacrosse Practice. That will pretty much end the day as by the time we eat dinner and do baths the kids will need to go to bed.

Elizabeth I hope that your son is feeling better now. I also hope you haven't been exposed to the swine flu. I hear that it has hit Texas. One of my swimmers today has a son that is the head guy with the CDC on the bird flu and he has been put on call 24/7 for the new strain. The government thinks this could be widespread. He has told his Dad to stay out of populated buildings.

Elin I'm glad you had girl time this weekend and next weekend sounds exciting too. I'm sorry that your BIL is a PITA, but it seems that every family has their share

Theresa I'm glad the prom was a huge success. I'm sure that Cassidy isn't feeling up to par with all the stress and activities that she's had. Any word on the Drum Major front?

:wave2: to everyone else
