Sorry for the fly-by post, but I thought some of you might want to see the (former) July 11th babies, from our playdate yesterday. There are more pictures on the blog, including some of Alyssa and Matthew. I hope it warms up for the rest of you soon, we're LOVING the warm weather, as some of you have seen! Heck, I hope it stays warm here, too! Take care! :goodvibes:grouphug:
SO CUTE!!!

I've been working on my mountain of laundry. I think I've already done 8 loads and still have 2 more to go. I'd like to wash some of the kids winter coats and put them away too.

Do you guys remember I didn't pack for my Jan trip til the Sunday before the trip and we left on a Tuesday? And that Sunday night I discovered that most of Lizzy's shorts didn't fit. We found a few that did and didn't even really need them anyways. So at least I didn't wait til the last minute with Joe. Many of his don't fit either. Who told my kids they could grow? He has enough that would work but several of them are rather short. I bought him a pair at Target a month or so ago that fit really well and are quick dry so I think I'll go at lunch some day this week to see if I can find any more in his size.

I've been sewing too. I do still hope to make myself a blouse and a 2nd if I like the first. And I'd like to make Lizzy & Emma shirts with this really cool circus fabric I bought. We are going to the circus as a mother/daughter girl scout event the night before my trip.

I made Joe this shirt for either our dinner at Narcoossee's or California Grill. I love this fabric! I bought more so I could make myself a blouse with it if I like the fit of the first one I make with that pattern.

I made Joe & I t's to wear on the plane for check in at AKL.

I made Halley this shirt for our sunrise safari. Honestly I wasn't in love with it when I first finished it but now that the buttons are on I like it more. I lined the sleeves with the fabric from the collar and placket so she can roll them if she wants.

I made this to match for Terry:

and this for me to match Joe's safari shirt. I still haven't done the buttons on that shirt yet. I HATE to sew by hand. I still want to see if I can find something I like better for it too.

Good morning....

Guess what?????????????? Bill & I are going on a last minute trip to Disney World!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

I had been looking for a 1 BR at BW or BC for the last several days with no luck....all of sudden one popped up on Friday for May 16-21. So off we will go!

Congratulations, too bad we'll miss each other by two days.

Bernadette, love the shirts!

We just watched Marley & Me. Wow, that dug up so many memories of our beloved dogs. I cried like a baby and wasn't alone, Chris, Nick and Hunter were all sobbing at the end. Tammi if you haven't seen it I would recommend that you not see it. Having just lost your dog I'm sure it would cause you to react just as we did.

Nick went to his room as soon as it was over. I found him in there a few minutes later with the collage photos of Tuffy in his hands. Man did that make my heart even more

Also our cat is showing the signs of old age and is very much less active so we are in many ways seeing these things now too.:sad2:

I cant believe its back to work tomorrow! It feels like forever since Ive been at school--I miss the kids, but I really enjoyed being home! I have 41 more teaching days til summer break!! I have report cards to finish and a 2 hour meeting tomorrow so I know its gonna be a long day--Hope things go smoothly tomrorow :)

awww.. Its so hard! Im sorry everyone is hurting

Good luck tomorrow Jen

I'm not looking forward to this week either. It is going to be crazy busy at the Aquatic Center. With all the schools on break and very little to do in our communities, parents and rec centers etc will all be bringing the kids in. Thankfully I was wise enough to only do 4 days this week. By Friday I will be ready for the break for sure. Saturday is the Grand Opening. I'm not scheduled to work, but we will probably participate in some of the activities. Finding Nemo is the first Dive in Movie and the boys want to go to that activity at the very least.

I know what kind of movie it is, and I have no desire to see it. Even if I hadn't just put my dog down, I still wouldn't watch it.

The kids came home today  and Bob and Bethany stopped by for a little while. Plus I got 3 loads of laundry done. All the Easter decorations are put away. Alyssa's birthday party is on Saturday. It's going to be at a downtown pottery place where the kids get to paint their own piece of pottery. Man it's expensive, but that's the price of convenience. She told me she wants a Jonas Brothers cake. Yeah, right. She also wants big girl bedding. What she has now is Hello Kitty, so I suppose I can get her new stuff for her present. We can shop online and pick out something that she likes. She certainly is morphing into a tween.

I hope you all had good weekends.

It is supposed to get cold and rainy again. I am ready for the weather to stay like this weekend.
