It was in the 70's & sunny every day there. It feels like we were gone for more than a week.

Kids are back to school today. :dance3:

Have a great day! :)

I've been working on my mountain of laundry. I think I've already done 8 loads and still have 2 more to go. I'd like to wash some of the kids winter coats and put them away too.

Do you guys remember I didn't pack for my Jan trip til the Sunday before the trip and we left on a Tuesday? And that Sunday night I discovered that most of Lizzy's shorts didn't fit. We found a few that did and didn't even really need them anyways. So at least I didn't wait til the last minute with Joe. Many of his don't fit either. Who told my kids they could grow? He has enough that would work but several of them are rather short. I bought him a pair at Target a month or so ago that fit really well and are quick dry so I think I'll go at lunch some day this week to see if I can find any more in his size.

I've been sewing too. I do still hope to make myself a blouse and a 2nd if I like the first. And I'd like to make Lizzy & Emma shirts with this really cool circus fabric I bought. We are going to the circus as a mother/daughter girl scout event the night before my trip.

I made Joe this shirt for either our dinner at Narcoossee's or California Grill. I love this fabric! I bought more so I could make myself a blouse with it if I like the fit of the first one I make with that pattern.

I made Joe & I t's to wear on the plane for check in at AKL.

I made Halley this shirt for our sunrise safari. Honestly I wasn't in love with it when I first finished it but now that the buttons are on I like it more. I lined the sleeves with the fabric from the collar and placket so she can roll them if she wants.

I made this to match for Terry:

and this for me to match Joe's safari shirt. I still haven't done the buttons on that shirt yet. I HATE to sew by hand. I still want to see if I can find something I like better for it too.

Bernadette, your shirts look great!
That cake looked so yummy too!

Think good thoughts for Angie today. She has a stress test, and a bubble echocardiogram. The tests are supposed to last about 5 hours. She is so not looking forward to it.
Hopefully these tests will come back normal, or at least tell us what is going on!
Of course I have to work tonight, and I worked last night, so I won't be able to go. Her mom and sister plan on being there for her, so I know that she will be in good hands.

Tom,
Hope all goes well for Angie today.:wizard:

Help I downloaded IE 8 and I hate it, how do I change back?

As I was going through Leighanna's school folder this morning, I found her Spring pictures.
Why she didn't tell us on Friday that they were in, I don't have any clue. Unless it was because she failed to tell us that she snuck her pink and white stuffy into the picture!

Still a cute picture anyway!:goodvibes

Great picture Tom :goodvibes

Good morning :goodvibes

It is a little cooler here, but the rain has left & the sun is out!

Bob and I spent the morning mowing the lawn. The grass was so high from the past week's worth of growth that the push mower I was using kept shutting off. I may need a nap before my concert tonight!

We're not quite to mowing grass here yet, but it gives me hope that so many of you are. Sorry it's so much work, though!

Stephanie and I are all set. Got our tickets for MagicMeet, got our room and I just got us a room at Coronado Springs for our December trip. We go down Dec 4 & 5 and then go on the cruise.

I am so excited!!! Time to update my ticker :cool1::thumbsup2 :yay::woohoo::dance3:

YAY!!!!

Eh, nothing scandalous.
I may have to disown my mother. She is going to buy a house and basically hand it over to Diva scott-free. I will get to figure out Mom's long term care with no money and no assets to liquidate. She is fine with this. I pointed it out to her, and she is still fine with it. So whatever. Diva will not be required to work at all this summer because she will be too busy painting and mowing and doing other super-important home improvements. Apparently in Kansas, money simply rains down out of the sky every day so nobody ever really has to work. I guess we should all look into moving there.

I have thought for awhile that my sister's daughter is autistic. My aunt saw her a couple of weeks ago, and she agrees with me. Of course my sister doesn't think there is anything wrong with her, so she won't get any treatment or services until who knows when. Probably when she starts to Kindergarten. :sad2:

No e-mail from the neuropsych with available dates, so I will e-mail him to make sure he remembers.

 I hope you get some good results from the neuropsych. I'm sorry about all the extra stress from your mom.

Hi!!

We are back in NY. I have a mountain of wash going as we didn't get the washer/dryer installed in the new house yet. The kids had a great time in NC (even Katie!)

I am going to try to catch up but the kiddies have homework so I may not get on til late.

Sending :hug::hug::hug:to everyone.

Welcome back! I am glad that you had such a good stay in NC!

All of the shirts look great, Bernadette! :goodvibes
Definite ditto!

We just watched Marley & Me. Wow, that dug up so many memories of our beloved dogs. I cried like a baby and wasn't alone, Chris, Nick and Hunter were all sobbing at the end. Tammi if you haven't seen it I would recommend that you not see it. Having just lost your dog I'm sure it would cause you to react just as we did.

I read the book when it first came out without knowing about the ending. I probably should have figured that it would end with the end of Marley's life, but I really didn't think about it. I was sobbing at the end. I don't think I could handle the movie.

Good luck tomorrow Jen

I'm not looking forward to this week either. It is going to be crazy busy at the Aquatic Center. With all the schools on break and very little to do in our communities, parents and rec centers etc will all be bringing the kids in. Thankfully I was wise enough to only do 4 days this week. By Friday I will be ready for the break for sure. Saturday is the Grand Opening. I'm not scheduled to work, but we will probably participate in some of the activities. Finding Nemo is the first Dive in Movie and the boys want to go to that activity at the very least.

Yay for Spring Break! My kids are back to school today, and no one is particularly happy about that. :sad2:

The kids came home today  and Bob and Bethany stopped by for a little while. Plus I got 3 loads of laundry done. All the Easter decorations are put away. Alyssa's birthday party is on Saturday. It's going to be at a downtown pottery place where the kids get to paint their own piece of pottery. Man it's expensive, but that's the price of convenience. She told me she wants a Jonas Brothers cake. Yeah, right. She also wants big girl bedding. What she has now is Hello Kitty, so I suppose I can get her new stuff for her present. We can shop online and pick out something that she likes. She certainly is morphing into a tween.

That sounds like a fun (and fairly easy party) for Alyssa. Miles wants a party, but I think I'm going to offer the new Nintendo DS in lieu of a party and see what he says. I'm so done with kid parties (is that awful to say?).

Good morning.

That about sums up our week, too. :sad2:

It's an absolutely adorable picture!

Good morning, DDA!

Tom - lots of :wizard: for Angie today. Leighanna's picture is adorable. She looks so grown up.

AnneMarie - beautiful pictures of Sophie. The last is my favorite.
