Anne Marie - I am glad you are all home safe and sound and that everyone liked NC!

Bernadette - your shirts look great. I knew there was something I had forgotten to tell you... when you posted Joe's safari shirt the first time I thought that it needed some very cool wooden buttons... carved, maybe.

Tammi - please tell Alyssa to stop growing! I thought of her on Saturday when Kristin and I went to tea. There were 2 little girls wearing the hats and Kristin reminded me how much she liked to wear them when she was younger too.

I hope you all had good weekends.

It is supposed to get cold and rainy again. I am ready for the weather to stay like this weekend.

I am with you, Becky... blech.

Good morning....

Guess what?????????????? Bill & I are going on a last minute trip to Disney World!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

I had been looking for a 1 BR at BW or BC for the last several days with no luck....all of sudden one popped up on Friday for May 16-21. So off we will go!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Our concert went well, thank goodness. Dress rehearsal yesterday was a disaster!

One of the choral groups premiered a piece written by the Composer in Residence at the University in honor of my dear friend and former professor of piano and composition who died in October at the age of 93. It was very emotional for many of us in attendance.

All in all, a very nice 2 hours of music! :goodvibes

How was the concert, Elin.

By now you probably have read my post above. ;) But I forgot the "rest of the story" concerning the memorial piece...

Anne (my friend) hated choral music. HATED it. She used to have to attend all the concerts when she was chair of the music department and could be seen in the back row trying to stay awake. The irony is beyond belief. :rotfl:

So is she turning in her grave? Or covering her ears? :rotfl2:

I wish. Her latest favorite movie is Mama Mia, and we have the soundtrack. So now she is dancing around and singing, acting out Meryl Streep's role, or the young daughter, depending on which song she is singing. I need to get it on video.

Thanks! I uploaded these photos just for you-it was a cake my SIL ordered for Easter. She was sick so DH had to pick it up and bring it to our house. It was REALLY, REALLY good!!!!!!! Maybe the best tasting cake I've ever had.

The cake looks so good!

I need to go to bed. Between the yard work and the hour of performing I am pooped! G'night, everyone. See you in the morning! :goodvibes

I know what kind of movie it is, and I have no desire to see it. Even if I hadn't just put my dog down, I still wouldn't watch it.

I'm with you! I have no interest in watching a movie that is that sad for people.

I'm safe & sound in Lansing. It rained most of the way but that's fine with me. Michigan can use the precipitation. Rain is better than snow. The U.P. is scheduled for a snow weather watch the next couple of days. I hope it stays there and leaves Lansing alone.
