The boys had to look hard for their baskets this morning. Apparently the Easter Bunny is related to Bugs Bunny as he seems to be a rascally rabbit They seem very happy with the personalized selections that they received
Just read this on another site: The toll has been increased on 417 (South Exit) from the Orlando Airport as of 4-5-09. It has increased by $.25. The former booths for $1 are now $1.25 and the exit ramp booths have changed from $.25 to $.50. The signs have already been updated to reflect the new prices.
We aren't big Easter people, so we aren't doing much today. DS got some candy and a card with some money in it. DH is going to cook a ham. I am going to do laundry and hopefully get around to helping DS write a report on the slave cemetery so he can turn it in before Friday.
It's pouring rain here. I'm so glad I let the Band wash my car yesterday. They are going to Six Flags in May for some sort of music festival thing. I told DS if he ends up not being allowed to go due to failing grades that he will owe me $38. They are going on a Friday during school hours.
I am back from the store and finally know what we are having for Easter Dinner! Now the wines are chilling or breathing and I need to get busy in the kitchen.
White Wine Cheese Plate
Orange Marmalade-Bourbon Glazed Ham
Grilled Asparagus with Shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano and Balsamic Drizzle
Fresh Green Beans with Tiny New Red Potatoes
Seasoned Oven-Fried Sweet Potatoes
Three-Cheese Bread
Lemon Poppyseed Bundt Cake
I am infamous for trying new menus for every holiday meal. Today was no exception. Nothing we had for Easter Dinner had ever been prepared by us. We made a unilateral decision that every single item will be made again. It was yummy!!
Nope! They are someplace at Disney. I think they were at CBR but am not quite sure. I don't usually have much of a flower garden at my place. It is hard to maintain. I'm thinking I may do something this year.
We are having a quick, easy dinner. We are having chicken/red potato pouches. You put cutup chicken, cut up red potatoes, onions and ranch dressing. Then bake in the oven for 45 minutes. I decided to try 1/2 of the packets with barbecue sauce instead of ranch dressing. So we have 3 packets with ranch dressing and 3 with barbecue sauce.
