Thanks everyone, I can't believe how quickly they are growing up, Aubrey is almost eight weeks old, she was just born yesterday. :sad2:

Good morning. :)

We arrived here safely yesterday evening. Turns out Nicholas needs reading glasses, of all things. His distance vision is 20/25 (which would be lowest prescription available if I decide to correct it) and his close vision is 20/40. So the dr. gave me 2 options......reading glasses, or BIFOCALS, that would make his distance a slight bit crisper. I'd like input from any of you with kids that have glasses. Pros/cons. If I get the reading/writing glasses, he would constantly be putting them on and off, whereas the bifocals would always be on. If I do the bifocals, he would have them on all day, but would have to get used to the 2 different prescriptions. HELP!

Today we are taking the kids to a local park here where there is a giant Easter egg hunt. The weather is in the low fifties, but sunny. We will also color eggs sometime today.

Have a great day everyone!
Have to agree with everyone else and say get the bifocals. My brother has been in bifocals since a very young age. I am another one who it took months for me to get used to my progressive lenses. I would think it would be easier to get used to bifocals right from the start and less chance to loose them.

Enjoy your time with your parents!

Well, i am supposed to be going back to school on Friday the 17th (snow make up day).I just found out my great uncle passed away last night and it looks like the funeral will be on that Friday. Now im hoping the custodians are in the school next week so i can go in and get my room ready for a sub.

Off to do some shopping - talk to you all later :)
:hug:Sorry for your loss.

My cousin had her baby last night. This is the cousin that cuts our hair. She had a healthy little girl 6 lbs 15 oz, 21 1/2 inches long. They named her Sky Pheonix. They like unusual names. There other children are Blaise and Jocelyn.
Congratulations to your cousin!

So precious!

I did buy Sony laptop. My office IS department said they would load Microsoft Office on it for me and remove all the extra "stuff" that is preloaded on it.

I finished up our state taxes and we got them in the mail today-we owe so I'm not in a rush to have it processed. I'll file our federal taxes electronically this weekend.

We went to Lowes this morning to make bird houses. Then the kids & I colored eggs. DH Went to bring his sister cold medicine.:rolleyes1

I should be working on some sewing projects for my trip as I only have this weekend and next to do it but I'm not really in the mood. It is so dreary here today-I just want to crawl into bed.

OH.....Lizzy did an egg hunt with her best friend yesterday and I picked her up on my way home from work. They also had friends visiting them from CT. The DH works for ESPN so he gets free AP's and 50% off at Disney resorts and 4 free tickets for friends every year. They have 2 boys 12 & 10 and they have NEVER been to any Disney park. They said they will go this summer because they feel like they "have" to. I told them to give me the AP's and I'll take the boys.:rotfl: I suggested they stay at a value resort and go for free dining but they would rather get the 50% off a value resort and eat off property.:headache: They wanted to go in late June but I suggested it might be less crowded in early August since free dining but I'm sure the DH didn't pay any attention to anything I had to say. I'm sure they will have a very magical trip.

THEN...Lizzy's friend, her Mom & Dad are doing a cruise for our school's April vacation (week of April 20th) and they have a day from about 8am or so til 8pm at Cape Canaveral. They figure they will rent a car and drive to WDW and use free tickets from the CT friend to go to Disney. They have never been and they figure Lizzy's friend always hears from Lizzy how great it is so they will take her so she can see it as they will never take her any other time. So I look up what parks have EMH to avoid (AK & MK) and suggested that they go to Epcot-it is a Thursday. I wonder how much fun they will have. The Mom loves to garden so I think she'll like the Flower Fest but poor Yvette won't really see to much of WDW. OH...and I tried to tell her a few good CS places and she said they would be bringing in their own food that they take off the cruise ship.

Thanks for the dittoable post, Becky.

Thanks for all the recommendations for the glasses. Elizabeth, your DS has glasses, right? And Anne Marie's Daniel too I believe. I'd like to hear your thoughts as well.

We are having a nice visit. My kids are exhausting me though! Tomorrow we are having dinner here, with lots of family over.

Elin - did you see that they are starting Murder Mysteries over at Riverside? They will be on Wednesday evenings, 2x a month.

I didn't know that... hmmmm.... my rehearsals are on Wednesdays but not all Wednesdays beginning the end of this month. We might have to look into it!

My DS has REALLY BAD vision. :rotfl2: I think last year he was around 20/70, and they told us to expect it to get worse. They did have to tweak his prescription a bit this year. DS wear his glasses all day, every day because he can't see very well AT ALL without them. Even at first we didn't have trouble getting him to wear them. The ones we just bought would have been $250, but the insurance covered all but a $40 upcharge for the shatterproof lenses. We found that most places require a certain material for kid's lenses whether you want it or not. Last year we got 2 pairs, one "good" and one "spare" but this year we just got one because the 2 from last year are still good and the prescription only changed a bit. He could still wear the old ones.

Debbie-Oh My Goodness!! I can't believe how big both kiddos are getting.:goodvibes

Deb-what a cute name for the new baby:goodvibes....those names aren't all that unusual around here (this coming from Cassidy Cheyenne's mom:rotfl:). I hope the weather stays good for 6 Flags!!

Tammi-you've gotten great advice for Nicholas's glasses. I am sure he will look handsome in them.

Becky-how is your funk?Glad your dad seems to be doing okay.

Jen-sorry about your great uncle:hug:...I hope the arrangements can be made for the sub. We have never burned through our snow days....of course it could be because they are stingy with them:rotfl:

We headed to ARC this morning for dress pants for Cassidy for her Branson trip next weekend (the band is going again and somebody paid for her to go (except a little bit and spending money). While there we found a brand new (tags still on) dress for Abi for Easter dinner with grandparents. She will have to wear a sweater as Little Miss Extra Modest picked a strapless dress. :rotfl:

We then ran over to Borders so Abi could pick out a book for her book report...the teacher is making it part of the assignment to bring in a recently dated receipt or a parental note stating they haven't read the book. She picked a David Baldicci book that looks really good.

I saw this on the cruise board. I can totally see lots of kids doing this.:lmao:

For our last cruise I had packed all my children's suitcases a full 3 weeks in advance:woohoo:. All goes well, we get to the port, board the Magic, head up to parrot cay for a yummy first day lunch, then head out to let the kids swim..we had them wear their suits under their cloths. An hour later our cabin is finally available:banana:..go inside to unpack....look up to find 2 booty butt naked twin boys  I was like "Boys..why are you naked"? They were like we are wet from swimming and are going to put on some shorts/shirts. I said "well, don't forget to put on your underware first". They were like "We can't.....we left it all at home" :scared1: "You WHAT"?? "Yes" they said.."we needed room for all of our toys that YOU forgot to pack"!!! :rolleyes1 Sure enough I open their suitcases and it is OVER FLOWING with action figures, stuffed animals, leggos, etc... So I tell DH that I need to run down to Mickeys Mates to look for underware "NO not for me...:headache:gggrrrrrr...ASK your boys". Well, I ended up with the last laugh :rotfl2:because when I looked for replacement underware, I couldn't find any...so I asked one of the Cm's who kindly told me they were 100% out of little boys underware...BUT they did have some REALLY cute Princess Panties. :rotfl: Boy were my boys UPSET I was like.."Hey you can't wear leggos, but you can were Belle" :lmao: Between you and me..I took a photo...Just to use as a bribe later when they are teenagers. :goodvibes

Congrats to your cousin.
My cousin had her baby last night. They named her Sky Pheonix.
My cousin named her daughter Skylar and had to let her hair grow long because everyone thought she was a boy based on just the name.

I'm alright, I am better but still have little motivation to do much of anything. Although I have done a bit of cleaning. I am making a pile of stuff to get rid of either Craigslist, eBay or something.

My taxes are pretty much done. I have to check over and print them.

I have to find some stuff I got for my brother in Florida and wrap it up for his birthday tomorrow. Yep he has an Easter birthday this year. Our Aunts' birthday was Palm Sunday. Yep two of our Aunts share April 5th as a birthday in different years.
