DDA Chapter 20

Just a quick pop in this morning. I need to ask for some major pixie dust right now. We had a bicycle accident last night, and Leslie got her foot caught in the spokes of Katie's bike. I thought it was ok, just majorly scraped up and bruised, but it's really swollen and discolored this morning. I'm taking her to the ER to have it looked at in just a little while. Please send pixie dust that it's not broken! Katie is feeling so guilty and horrible about this, and a broken ankle would send her self-esteem plummeting. Not to mention, I really don't want to do DL with a small broken child!

Hugs to Katie!

I hope Leslie's foot is OK. I hope it is not, broken or sprained. I hope it is perfectly fine for your trip.:wizard::hug:

Where is everyone? I went to work for a couple of hours and finished the Easter shopping tonight. I also spent an hour helping Colby learn to ride his bicycle. I think he's finally got it :thumbsup2 We have been trying to help him with that for 2 years now.

Wish it was that everyone, but no, not yet. We're not even attempting until we get moved, but (knock on wood) it looks like the attempts are a real go when the time does come. Apprently, Phil's totally on board and keeps asking if I'd really want to have another one. Um...duh!

Now, i am just sayin'.... but we weren't trying to have Kristin either. Imagine our surprise at almost 4 months! Just sayin'....

Welcome, Gina! :wave2: You have caught us on a very slow week!

I picked Kristin up after work and she and her best friend whisked me off to our favorite wine bar for dinner.

We did a wine tasting and then got a bottle of one of our favorites from the tasting. Worth a look-see, Robyn. It is a white Frizzante (not too sparkling) and perfect with mac & cheese! Bera Arcese Bianco 2006

Then, with dessert I had a glass of Kangarilla Road Shiraz 2005

Both were very nice and affordable too!

Sounds like a nice evening Elin :goodvibes

Oh, I forgot to mention that my SIL had a friend visit her today. She, her husband and mother fly their personal plane into the local airport to have lunch with SIL. It turns out that they go to Disney at least once a month. I didn't have time to really talk to them as I was working with Colby on the bike riding. They did say that they are not DVC owners because they would need an accessive amount of points. They've done the tour twice, but they're content with the resorts and they do not want to cook while on their trips. I get the impression that they are quite wealthy.

Seems it has been a few slow weeks here, I miss all the chatter!

I miss the chatter too, and I miss being able to check in more often. It seems like my life is in nonstop overdrive. Just looking ahead to next week...Monday is lifeguard, Hunter's doctors appt, lacrosse
Tuesday both jobs
Wednesday lifeguard, lacrosse
Thursday both jobs
Friday SixFlags :cool1:
Saturday waitress
Sunday well deserved rest :lmao:

I'm totally hoping that we can put some money back into our savings starting this month.

Good Job Colby!:dance3::woohoo::thumbsup2:moped:

Tomorrow we were going to go to Hershey for Spring time in the park, but now we are probably not going to go. A lot more rides are going to be closed then we initially thought. We were going to take some friends but now it is not worth it for them to pay and go, as we have coupons for tickets that are only a bit more expensive and the whole park will be open.

We might go to a baseball game if it does not rain as we have free tickets. Although we are not sure.

Dad is doing alright, although the remaining stitches are causing him pain. He is supposed to have the rest removed on Thursday. Hopefully once they are removed that pain will go away.

Good Morning, :cool2:

Tom - Leighanna and her dress are beautiful, Congrats to her on high heels!

Amy - What a Cutie! Great work on the pillow and blanket Tom

Glynis - Glad to hear Leslie's ankle isn't broken, :wizard: hopefully it will heal quickly

Brandon came over and died eggs last night, I have to take the truck in for a new windshield today, DH got hit with a rock on his way home and it ran before we could get it repaired.

Elizabeth and Deb - Sorry to hear about the boys troubles in school, I have and older brother who has CP, his case was mild enough that it wasn't obvious in school, he just seemed different and believe me he went through h--l and the hands of other kids. The good news is he found his "niche" and made some very good friends that he still keeps in contact with, he's married and has three children, although they are grown and not children anymore.

Years ago we went to Pleasure Island and they were having a Street Party with bands playing on the outdoor stage, my girls were in their teens and they absolutly loved it.
