Beth-:hug:I am sorry about the job...if it's anything like our district there are 2 schools closing so there is a huge internal pool of candidates on top of people, who are like me, desperately looking for work. I am sorry it didn't work out.

Does anybody know where there is a place to find printable bookmarks?? I am finished with all of Abi's presents except 11 bookmarks to go with her vera bradley book cover.

I requested an interview in my initial cover letter. I haven't received any messages from them on my home or cell phones. Do you think I should call and see? What would I say?
Absolutely call. I would say that you are just following up on the application that you submitted, that you are still interested in the position, and is the position still available. When/if they say yes, that's your opportunity to request and interview. Good luck! :wizard:

Hi, everyone! I feel like I fell of the earth for a while, there. It's tough to be without a computer! Alan took my machine in and the upshot is that it will take at least 400 dollars to diagnose the problem, and they have no idea how much it will cost to fix it. So, we decided that I'll muddle along with it as it is (frustrating), and we'll save up for a new laptop for me. That will probably be my Christmas present this year.

I know I missed a lot! I read back, but my mind is mush right now! Timothy is teething, and it is really upsetting him during the night. Not to mention that he's not handling Similac very well, so we'll be back to Enfamil from now on. It's been a rough few days for him, poor baby!

On Saturday, I got to spend the day with my sister and her family! Alan and I took our kids over there to finish up the shirts for our trip, and we ended up having a cook out over there in the evening! It was glorious! We ate outside, and the kids played and it reminded me why I like summer!

Yesterday was a great Mother's Day! I was sure that I would be down this year, but I wasn't. I felt my mom with me all day long! The kids each gave me a home made card (which I love), and Jacob's class had made books for each mom. Love that, too! The twins gave me some silicone bakeware that I've been wanting, and Katie got me stuff for my sewing machine. I think she wants to learn how, and now I don't have any excuse! Alan got me 2 tickets to see "Miss Saigon" on Saturday afternoon! I'm so excited!!! I love this play, and haven't seen it since it opened on Broadway! We're going to make a day of it, and really enjoy ourselves! I can't wait!!!!

In addition to all my lovely gifts, the family let me have a day in bed! I literally stayed in bed all day long! They brought the baby to me when he needed to eat, but then they kept him (and themselves) downstairs all day long! HEAVEN!!!!

Today I spent the morning running errands and picking up some things for our trip. Elizabeth will be happy to know that I have started packing, and it's going quite well. I'm just hopeful that we'll be able to stuff everything we need in the van and still have room for the kids!

My prayers and best wishes are always with you, and I know that some of you could use hugs! You always have them from me, even when I'm not posting! I'm always thinking about you!

A friend just called to find out if I had an interview for that job in the school system that I want. I don't. She said that they are interviewing a lot of people on Thursday and Friday. It seemed like such a perfect fit for me, but I guess it's not to be. :sad1:

Sorry Beth

Well that worked out for the best. MS was able to fix the issue AND make ALL of my ADRs for me, even thought it's a split stay.

That's great!! The girl I got last time I called MS was either very confused/new or just a dingbat.

I would call and request an interview.

So the neuro psych took a LONG time! We arrived about 8:50 AM, took a lunch break for 30 minutes at noon, and DS just finished at 2 PM. I had to leave and go get Princess, then go back for DS. The Dr. said he should have the results for me next week. Hopefully we can meet on Wednesday, because that's the last day of school for Princess!

I decided to wear make-up today so as not to frighten the Dr. The make-up I bought at Dillard's recently turned out to be COMPLETELY the wrong color for me. It was bright ORANGE.:headache: The girl who sold it to me just dabbed a teeny bit on my jawline and pronounced it the perfect match. Um, NO. So I took it back just now. I showed the lady what a lovely pumpkin color I was and told her it was from that make-up. She exchanged it for me. Turns out I have the exact thing she switched it for in my make-up bag now. The stuff the other girl sold me (the orange stuff) was something different. I can't keep track. I know when I find something I like they discontinue it, so there really is no point in getting attached!

:hug:I would call and ask tell them you are very interested-it can't hurt.

Some of these might work for Abi since she loves animals. I love Jan Brett's work-seh live about 30 minutes from me.

Thanks, Bernadette! I hope you had a great birthday! I know that I missed it while my computer was out of commission, so belated birthday wishes from me!

YES! The kids ponchos at WDW are still quite long. I was able to get some at Target that fit better when the kids were smaller. Olivia would probably be OK with a WDW one but it would way too long for Virginia.

thanks Bernadette and Deb. I have a rain coat for Olivia I will have one for the stroller for Virginia. Was just wondering if I should take Olivia's and if I should get one for Ryan he will be 4 1/2. I managed to find one at walmart today that I hope will fit him.

I know I have seen a site that list the current characters that are signing autographs. I can't seem to find it does any one know the name of the site I am talking about.

Bernadette did you get autographs? If so who all did you see.

I am wanting to make Olivia and Ryan special books for this trip.

Thanks Bernadette!!! That is on my to do list tomorrow!!

I got her:

Rascall Flats CD with 13 songs on it
the book cover with 13 bookmarks
drawing tray with 13 artsy items including markers and 3 different paper types
baking sheet with brownie mix and cooking items
water bottle with 13 straws
cute little lunch box with 13 treats
Monsters, Inc. snack holder with 13 of her favorite crackers
Sno Cone Machine with 12 cones and a syrup
a tin with 13 balls in it (she is fascinated by my bouncey balls)
a (giraffe) spotted cup with 13 coordinated safari items
a little purse with 13 coins in it (brand new Hilfiger purse I found for $2.50:cool1:)
pencil bag with 13 writing utensils in it
I never can remember the 13th...lol

Cassidy found out today that her friends mom got the 3 girls tickets to see the Jonas Brothers in concert. :dance3:

Often you can get free wallpaper samples at local wallpaper stores. They make great book marks, you could also laminate them for more durability or just cut them double wide and glue them together to have the patten on each side.

We did skip Timon at AK because the line was long and it was too hot-we walked by Rafiki at MK because we saw him at AK but Timon wasn't with him there. When we got in Pinocchio's line Gepetto was with him but he left before it was our turn. We saw Pinocchio out a few more times but not Gepetto. That sounds great-I'm sure Abi will have a great day!

The boys both lost their games. They both played well, but the other teams played way too rough in my opinion. They had many more penalties than our team. Nick took a shot to the head (helmet) and it cracked his helmet visor. That put him on the bench for a few minutes while he shook it off. Later in the game he got hit in the inner elbow area with another shot. Amazingly he managed to stay in the game until the end. Hunter was plowed over 3 separate times and took a cleat to the shin. He also played to the end. I was very proud of them both. Chris was a little disappointed that he lost his first game as the coach, but he'll get over it.

Colby's IEP appointment went well. He will be in speech for at least another year, but she is hoping that he will learn quicker over the summer when she is working with him one on one. His primary teacher was also there and she said she has high hopes for next year. She feels like some kindergartners take much more responsibility and find their independence in 1st grade. I certainly hope so. She also mentioned that he showed her no less than 10 times that he learned to tie his shoes yesterday. She was amazed how proud he was of himself.

I requested an interview in my initial cover letter. I haven't received any messages from them on my home or cell phones. Do you think I should call and see? What would I say?

I would call and say I had been out of town and out of touch for the past 2 weeks and I was curious if they were setting up interviews now and had been trying to contact me. If you don't call, you won't get an interview. If you do call, you might.
