Well, I haven't been posting much lately. Been in a bit of a funk. I wasn't sure why until I looked at the calendar. Today is my mom's birthday. She would have been 77 years old today.

Apparently, my husband is more on top of things than I usually give him credit for. He called me a few minutes ago to let me know that he and I are going out to celebrate my mom's birthday. He's taking me out to dinner. What a guy, huh?

So, I guess mom's birthday is the reason I'm feeling a bit blue. I know I'll get over it, but this first one is especially hard. Maybe I'll have Alan pick up a pizza for the kids on his way home, so they can celebrate, too.

I did get a reply from Airtran & as a gesture of good will(their words)have been given a $25 credit to use on a future flight. I really did not expect anything, but I will gladly take it & appreciate them for getting back with me

You CAN do the dining plan if staying on points.

Yes, you can do DDP but the member you are renting from will have to add it for you. You can't add it yourself.

Your rentee also has to add ME for you if you want it.

Elin - I picked up a Pinot Grigio from Barboursville. It was delicious with my catfish that I had for dinner. It's one of the wines I liked from the wine festival we went to.

I think I might have to stop at Walmart tomorrow night and get some Angel food cake after all this talk about it. They sell a Strawberry one that is sugar free but does not have aspartame. I might have to pick up some strawberrys and cool whip as well.

I had to get some at the store the other day too. The craving has been building anyway, but the added talk around here put it over the top.

Your Target job sounds great-will you put the money you save due to the discount into Disney savings?

That's a good idea! Like I said, the job is only a handful of hours a week, but I can also pick up some in-store shifts during the holidays if I want to. I figured out that I would be able to pay for most of a trip for Terra's birthday with just this income and what I've been setting aside from the MOPS job (three days a month). If I add the discount amount to it too, that should cover most of the rest and put me on good footing for Feb. Thanks for the idea!

Glynis - Enjoy your night out. How thoughtful of Alan!!! Lots of from us. I know my grandma's birthday was hard for Mom last year too.
