thank you!! and thank you all!! Tomorrow the interview is for the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation....I would love to work there:lovestruc :lovestruc (this is the foundation I read about last year and said I want to work for them !!)

Theresa, I am sending lots of :wizard: your way. I love the idea of that foundation.:goodvibes I wish it had been available when my sister would have needed it.

So now she has half a brow over her left eye & we have her communion pictures coming up. Just grand!!!!!
Oh boy! Perhaps a waxing trip might make it better. Then the pain of it might keep her from doing it again!

Good morning all! Im exhausted this morning, but went to bed early! The kids are going to be crazy toady so I know its going to be one of those days ;)

I must say I agree.... but they certainly are as Heidi describes - hair so light you can't even tell it's there! If (when?!) we meet up on Thursday, you'll be surprised to see they have as much as they do, I'm sure! :rotfl:

Both my daughters were towheads when they were little. Even in dresses people thought they were boys because they looked bald! There were no cute little bows that would stay in baby fine hair like you have found, Jennifer.

Although they are no longer platinum blonds, they have retained their light hair for the most part, so it is not as surprising as knowing myBob was also a towhead when he was born. Until his hair turned gray he had darker hair than I do!

Well Colby is in bed and Hunter is not far behind. Chris went to the gym since 2 of us weren't feeling well he decided not to take the other 2 swimming so he waited for Colby to go to sleep to keep the peace. Hopefully I can get my workout in tomorrow after work.

My boss approached me again today and has offered (with prior approval) me the programs coordinator position for the water activities. I would be responsible for setting up and maintaining the swim lesson program. I would get a $2 raise, but only for the hours that I am doing that position. Lifeguard pay would remain the same. I'm reading through the new program materials. It is very different than the American Red Cross program that I've taught before. I think once I see the program demonstrated I will be able to do it :thumbsup2

good news, Deb!

Amy - your new signature shot and avatar are terrific!

Debbie - your little berry is adorable. How is Brandon liking her these days? ;)

ETA: I see you answered Tammi's similar question already!

Elin do you have class today?

Elizabeth- I hope the doctor can figure out what's wrong with you eye.

Beth- Feel better!:wizard:

Deb & Hunter- Hope you are feeling better today.:wizard:

Anne Marie- Yikes! I hope you can get Sophie's eyebrow fixed up enough for her pics.

Amy- Cute pics!! :wizard: for you brother.

Debbie- Aubrey is adorable:love:

Vicki- Love your new 'do! Sounds like you and Chuck are having a great time!

Janet-  It's almost time!

Jennifer-  Wohoo!! You 4 are going to have a such a magical trip!!

Tammi- :cool1: for a F&W trip!!!

For those I missed,'s and :wizard:

We are on a 2 hour delay today. I think they should have just closed as most of our side streets are still sheets of ice. :headache:

Anne Marie - maybe try some of your makeup on Sophie's half-brow for the pictures. Katie will be jealous! ;)

Elizabeth - get thee to the doctor, please!

I now have interviews set up for Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday this week....which is a good thing since there aren't any more jobs to apply to!!

Good luck!

I just took a short nap. I've had a sour tummy since I got home this afternoon. I'm hoping extra sleep will fend off whatever it is. Hunter has a sore throat and isn't feeling good. I hope that he is well by morning.

Oh no -- I hope everyone is feeling better today.

Hello, all! Sorry I've been MIA again. I have developed bronchitis and can't seem to stop coughing. It is exhausting to be either coughing or trying not to plus I haven't been getting a lot of sleep. And then they tell me this could last 2-4 weeks! I may go insane and take my family right along with me. I know they must be going crazy listening to me cough constantly.

I've tried skimming through this chapter, but I missed a lot in Chapter 18. Can anyone give me a quick update?

All of you who had snow today, please take care! (And I'm glad to see that Tammi has power again.) We didn't get any snow here, though originally they were forecasting 6-8". I guess the storm tracked further east than anticipated at the end of last week. It is COLD, though, with wind chills below zero and the actual high tomorrow supposed to be in the low teens.

I hope you are feeling better.

School's closed again tomorrow.

I bet your kids are so excited!

I just got a call that I have a 90 minute delay tomorrow..so scool does not start til 1030!

Woo Hoo!

Well Colby is in bed and Hunter is not far behind. Chris went to the gym since 2 of us weren't feeling well he decided not to take the other 2 swimming so he waited for Colby to go to sleep to keep the peace. Hopefully I can get my workout in tomorrow after work.

That is terrific news -- good for you!

Awww, Kevin actually did what I asked him to do tonight! :goodvibes

Great pictures! Tell Kevin we also say thank you.

I had a "Berry Sweet" visitor tonight,

Love the new siggy picture Amy!

Beth - hope you're feeling better sooner than they think

Congratulations Deb!

What a cutie!

Oh I forgot to tell you all that Sophie shaved off half her eyebrow in the shower.
9.gif

She didn't want to have "fuzzy" eyebrows.

So now she has half a brow over her left eye & we have her communion pictures coming up. Just grand!!!!!

Obviously I have to take my razor out of the shower so she doean't do more damage. I know one of the kids in school is going to notice & her feelings are going to get hurt since kids say exactly what they are thinking.

I am soooo looking forward to my own bathroom in a few months. I have to hid everything on the ceiling so these kids don't get to it! (including katie, as she takes my makeup!:headache: )

On no! I hope no one makes fun of her.

Elizabeth -- I hope you can get relief for your eye quickly.

Vicki -- have fun and good luck with the races.

I hope everyone stays warm and safe today. Have a great day. :)

Elin do you have class today?

Don't know yet. But I do have an adult private student at 10:00 so I am going to see if I can get to the studio. Then I will assess the roads and the parking situation downtown and call my boss. She will make her final decision based on that. Believe me, you all will be the first to know after I find out! :rotfl:

Oh boy! Perhaps a waxing trip might make it better. Then the pain of it might keep her from doing it again!
She doesnt even have fuzzy eyebrows & shes only 8. Do 8 year old go for waxes? :lmao:

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Gary told me last night that he is even getting a little excited & that means a lot beings he is not a fan like me!
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Anne Marie - maybe try some of your makeup on Sophie's half-brow for the pictures. Katie will be jealous! ;)
Thats what I might have to do if it doesnt grow in before then or just move her photo appointment back a bit. Sophie said it would be ok if she colored it on with permanent marker!:scared1: Lord help me.

I fell asleep on the couch before 9:00 last night and slept clear through till 5:30 this morning. Bob said he and Kristin checked on me and tried to get me to move but I was not very cooperative. I remember none of it!

anyway...

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Elin,
Cute tickers!!!!!!!!!

thanks, Anne Marie. :goodvibes

I am sure there are some 8 year olds who have mommies who take them in for waxings and manicures and pedicures and all that... but I am betting the pain of having the eyebrows waxed would make Sophie think twice (or thrice) about ever doing that again!

I am not saying you should do it! But I bet it would be a great deterrent! ;)

So my post count is 7 per day, although I venture to guess that total is coming down every day since I post less frequently than I did when I started out on the DIS!

And as for the referrals, so that nobody loses sleep over "reported posts" (though I've had a few of my own, for sure! :rolleyes1 ), it really isn't about infractions. The vBulletin system allows you to refer other users. The DIS doesn't really have it enabled, so I'm not sure how any of us get "credited" (unless there's a way to enter someone else's screen name when you sign up... I don't remember). Other forums will provide unique links so that when your friend signs up you get "credit" for it, though, as explained here (from a different vBulletin powered board):

What are referrals?
The administrator may have enabled referrals, which allows you to be credited for any new users you invite to the forum.

You gain referrals by promoting VAIL using your unique referral link. The link you should use as your referral link is this:

xxxxx

Each time someone follows this link to VAIL and registers as a new member, your referral count will be incremented by one. The number of referrals you have can be viewed in your profile.

Your administrator will have more information on any prizes or rewards that may be given out for referrals. Please be courteous when promoting VAIL by not spamming other web sites with your referral link just to gain referrals.

;)

Have a great day, DDA! After yesterday, Kyle and I are hoping to get a lot done around here. Then..... less than 48 hours until our trip starts! :yay:

Anyone here Italian? I am in need of a good meat sauce for spaghetti. I have been using Prego for years but lately its been bothering John's stomach, I told him its all the Pepsi he drinks. ;)

I'll post my recipe in a little while. Got to get the kids ready for school, and then I'll have time to post it.
