Lindsay - Good to see you popping in! :)
No, the stupid compresses aren't working. The styes just laugh when they see the compress coming.

Jenifer - Glad Jeff had a nice birthday!

Oh, I am so glad you got the 2BR!! I know it was really going to be crowded for your trip. How nice!! :)

Definitely much better since it means Terra and I get a bed instead of a pull out. The 1br are really pretty big, but the 2br are huge! Basically they are a 1br and a studio condo put together. Terra and I get the studio portion to ourselves, plus we'll have room for our friends to join us if they want or for Kristi and Erin to come down for part of the week as well.

so tomorrow is Jeff's party and his birthday is on sunday. We decided to do Beef and Chicken Fajitas, queso and chips, beans etc.

Sounds like delicious choices all around. Glad the party was a success. Happy birthday, Jeff!!!

I'm glad it's still on. You are homeschooling, right? So getting into a house before the school year starts wouldn't need to be a priority.

Yeah we are homeschooling, so it really doesn't matter when we move. Luckily, our lives are pretty open for whatever timing is necessary.

Me and Elin too! :thumbsup2

I made the mistake of putting on Sorcerer Radio. I want to go to WDW now!!!!

I've had the itch going lately too! The weather, the Disney music, the need to get away. I'm dying to do some planning at least though that only makes me want to go more.

Good afternoon, DDA! Yet another beautiful day, though the wind is CRAZY!!! A tree down the street from Kristi's lost a MAJOR thick piece just from the wind. You can also feel the coolness in the wind so hopefully it doesn't come back too strongly.

Terra and Kassie went to Dandy Daisies yesterday and I enjoyed my 3 hours of peace. There was an RV dealer nearby so I went and walked through a few different sizes and styles. I walked in the door and it felt like home. Now if I could only convince Phil how much we needed to just drive around the country for awhile....oh yeah, and be able to afford it. ;)

After we got home, Kristi called and asked if we wanted to join them for ice cream after their trip to the zoo. So, we went and hung out with them for awhile, stopped by Cici's for dinner and then ran by the bookstore for a MadLibs book for Terra. We finished the evening with Terra, Phil and I doing MadLIbs and watching Schoolhouse Rocks! It was a lot of fun.

Today we've just been hanging out at Kristi's since Dad had some guy coming over to meet about a business thing. They were going to need the kitchen, living room and TV so this was a more fun and easier option. I think we're going to grill something yummy for dinner and enjoy the last of this beautiful weekend.

I am glad someone got something done today! :rotfl:

Tammi - I wish it would have worked out better to get together today too. Joanne and I had a wonderful couple of hours and I know you would have enjoyed it too. Another time for certain!
Absolutely!

We had marinated pork loin, cheesy mashed potatoes and corn for dinner. Yummy. It's also good to have it out of the way. I've even found time to catch up on American Idol. It's amazing how quickly I can blow through an episode skipping all the commercials and redundant stuff. Now I'm trying to put a dent in my magazines. I'm weeks behind at this point.

Sounds like an amazing day.....The girls and I love Jimmy John's also. I love the fact that 2 sandwiches feed the four of us and their pickles are so dang yummy!!

I could have made a meal of the pickle alone! We had them cut 3 sandwiches into four pieces each, and we each had 2 pieces. Plenty of food, and the kids actually ate them. Alan ordered stuff that they normally wouldn't eat, but they enjoyed everything!

Hey everyone, could I ask for some prayers and pixie dust for our neighbors? Richard Lohser was diagnosed with end stage pancreatic cancer in October. He was told that he wouldn't live to see the end of the year. Well, he's still around, but he's fading really quickly. He knows he's going to die and is at peace with it, but his sons and his wife are having a hard time.

It's been so hard on them, but the neighborhood has rallied behind them. We take turns cooking and cleaning their house so Michelle and the boys can spend all their time with Richard. Any prayers for peace would be appreciated.

Youve got it..Richard and his family are in my prayers--plesae keep us updated

how are you feeling?

I'm doing okay. Not totally able to give up the Zofran yet (I tried as an experiment overnight Fri. night, and regretted it), but I'm slowly getting my energy back. I've been researching baby furniture this weekend - it's enough to make your eyes cross!

I've got the checkbook balanced, the budget done and the bills paid. All I can say is I'll be glad when my second paychecks start rolling in. We also got a call from our accountant and our taxes are done. We're even getting a refund :cool1: Not enough for a WDW vacation, but it will certainly help replenish the money we spent on the furnace. I guess it's been a good day

That sounds very productive - congrats on the refund!!!! I'm scared to do our taxes - have a feeling we won't get one, and we could certainly stand to not pay in right now!

We're having pork tenderloin here for dinner, too. :goodvibes We were going to have corn, too, but no fresh corn to be found yet at the grocery stores.

No, the stupid compresses aren't working. The styes just laugh when they see the compress coming.

Ouch - have you considered the lancing? :scared:

Absolutely - what an awful time for them.  :wizard: :wizard: How wonderful of the neighbors to be so supportive of them.

Good thoughts for Richard's family. What a horrible time for them. :guilty:

Lindsay - The eye Dr. mentioned lancing as an option if I still had the styes after 2 weeks. Well, today is 2 weeks. I just can't see going through the pain and expense of lancing them if they are going to heal into little cysts like the last set did. The issue I am having now is the biggest one is bright red. If it was normal skin color I wouldn't care much.

I'm glad the Zofran is helping! Hopefully in the next 3 weeks or so you will be able to wean off of it.
We talked about pork tenderloin for dinner, but I think we have decided on pasta since we don't want to have the oven on.

We'll send lots of pixie dust their way. That must be so horrible for the family to be going through. It is so nice of your neighborhood to rally behind them. We don't often see things like that happen around here.

I need to put Colby to bed. Then Chris and I can snuggle and watch the Amazing Race.

absolutely :grouphug:

I roasted a stuffed turkey breast I picked up at the store last weekend. The bread dressing also has apples and cranberries in it. Wow, is it good! And we did baked sweet potatoes and sliced tomatoes and green peppers and cucumbers as a side. Not a lot of work and really tasty!

I made the mistake of looking at Touring Plans crowd calendar for our May trip, we're looking at some 9's :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Looks like our side trip to Sea World was a good idea, and with the VIP tour crowds won't be an issue.

I'm considering taking the DVC tour and geting the instant fastpasses, but I'm afraid it could lead to a big expense.

On the up side, we have several days in November that are a 4 :cool1:

We get a #12 (the one with sprouts and a guacamole spread) for Cassidy and I and Jim and Abi share one of the others.

I have them slice the pickle in 4 spears....I have to have my pickles in spears or slices.

We spent some time with Brandon this weekend, he spent the night last night and we took him to dinner. Today we went to the pet store and played ball in the backyard, I felt like he needed some "sister free" time with us.
