DDA Chapter 19

Glad you got through Joe's photos! Sounds like it was a big project!

It did take several hours but not as long as I had feared. I didn't think we could get through it in one day. I think he's grown up a bit in the past year though. I know it would have been tougher getting him to realize that he could print all 2,000 of them a year ago.

Goodnight all.. I am not even tired-but i know i have to sleep..the time change always messes me up! Goodnight and have a great Monday

Hey everyone, could I ask for some prayers and pixie dust for our neighbors? Richard Lohser was diagnosed with end stage pancreatic cancer in October. He was told that he wouldn't live to see the end of the year. Well, he's still around, but he's fading really quickly. He knows he's going to die and is at peace with it, but his sons and his wife are having a hard time.

It's been so hard on them, but the neighborhood has rallied behind them. We take turns cooking and cleaning their house so Michelle and the boys can spend all their time with Richard. Any prayers for peace would be appreciated.
You've got it..Richard and his family are in my prayers

Help me decide on my Epcot dining. Any reason we should eat in Mexico or China? For those of you that have eaten at Morocco, France or Italy, which do you recommend and why? I'm trying to hit new places that we haven't tried before.

We are going to have the dining plan, since this will be our last trip where Nicholas is a "child". If we do any signature dinners, do you think we could use the ddp for half of the bill and use the TIW for the other half? That way our ddp credits would go further. Or am I overthinking this?

In 2005, we did Mexico and the server would not give us a milk for Stephanie. Said it wasn't included on the DDP. We argued and argued. I think we finally got it though. I don't remember the food being all that memerable either, but then again, that was over 3 years ago

STEER CLEAR OF MEXICO!!!! That is such a rotten excuse for a Mexican restaurant - IMO, Taco Bell is better (and I hate TB!) I ate there as a kid and hated it, and we tried it before the Candlelight Processional on our big family trip in '07 because I figured it was the easiest type of food for everyone's different tastes. The food is absolute garbage - yuck, yuck, yuck.

I've heard good reviews on a couple of podcasts about the revamped Nine Dragons. I'm not a big Chinese fan, though, so we have never tried it.

We tried Morocco back in '06 - Jonathan really liked it, but I wasn't feeling the greatest that day, so I was just "eh" on it. I ate at Chefs de France with my mom last May, and was really impressed with it. We had an ADR there in December, but a tour we were on ended up conflicting, so we canceled it. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to France.

We tried Tutto Italia for the CP this year. I agree with Elizabeth's assessment - our server was very nice, but the place was very loud, and I thought the food was mediocre, at best. I've heard some people give it good marks, but we won't be back. I'm glad we were on the fixed price CP, because their regular prices were :scared: .

Sadly, we've gotten to where the only restaurant in World Showcase we trust to give us a consistent meal is Rose & Crown. We are going to try Teppan Edo in May for the first time.

For signature meals, I'd probably also do the entire meal using the TIW (and only ordering what you'd really like).

Good luck!!!

Thanks for all the dining reviews. We may do both Puck's and Raglan. We might just stick with our favorites in WS since the rest appear to be mediocre.

Good morning. :)

I didn't sleep well last night, and I can't afford to be tired today, since we don't get home until 8 PM, after dance and religion.

Good Morning. I'm in for a very long day. Pool 7 - 2 then Aj's 3:30 - whenever. We have a big party at the restaurant and we are all going in a bit earlier to make all the side salads. Of course we have to open the regular salad bar too for any walk in customers. I really hope this party pays well.

We are having a snow storm now. The roads are covered so it could be a slick ride to work. I guess I'd better get moving.

Its been raining and cold here, but of course more snow is in the forecast for the weekend.

It is still 76 degrees here... hard to believe what we were dealing with a week ago!!

If you had to choose between Ragland Road or Wolfgang Puck's, which would you choose, and why? :)

Ragland Road... we had a wonderful meal and time there in December. I have to admit that we have only ever eaten at WP Express. It was very good, but we really enjoyed Raglan Road.

Tammi,

Love Wolfgang Puck's. The food has always been great!

Won't return to Mexico. We ate there a few years ago & the food was terrible, small, & the waiter was rude. Not worth the money. The counter service is delicious though so if you want Mexico try the CS.

France. I have been for lunch & dinner. Both excellent. Cute waiters. Food has always been good.

I have never been to Raglan but it might be on the list for August.

Morocco. Never been. I like Tangerine Cafe alot but I do not think we'd do the TS.

Tutto is on our list for Aug. We did go when it was the old restaurant & we loved it.

I agree with Lindsay, Rose & Crown has always beem good.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny: (Not really.... is it DARK outside.)

OK, now that summer plans are solidified it seems my mind has turned to our F&W trip in October. I need to figure out where we want to eat on our free dining that we booked with the bounceback offer last September. We are planning to spend more time at the F&W Festival this year than in the past two. So I think our TIW will be a nice supplement to the free DDP without having to move up to Deluxe Dining.

I also need to figure out our ticket situation. We have a one day base ticket with our package. We had planned to upgrade it to an AP after using it our first day there. But... do we need to have a hopper to get the upgrade?

No you can upgrade any ticket with or without PH option. They will just subtract the $79.88 (1 day base) from your AP.
