I hate when the oak and elm and other trees start blooming. I have had an allergy headache for 2 days now thanks to them

The rest of us are looking at winter and wishing for spring trees... :rotfl: But I agree... I hate the sinus headaches that accompany all that pollen. Hope you feel better!

sounds fun. What are you going to read to the kids?:)

Katie and Jacob will read to themselves. I'll probably read one of the Junie B. Jones books to Leslie, and Mary likes Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

I called my mom on my way home. She is done with all of her treatments, but she has a ton of follow ups the week of March 9. She said her skin is peeling from the radiation so she can't wear a bra, and she pulled muscles in her left arm (which is her "good" one) so she is rather paraplegic at the moment. Hopefully the muscle will heal quickly.

I am glad she is done with her treatments:wizard: that her arms will feel better fast.

:wizard: for your mom

Thanks for the good wishes for Mom! I really hope now that they are finished pumping her full of chemicals and zapping her with radiation that she will get some snap back in her garters.

She gets her port out next week, so she is REALLY happy about that!

I personally believe that the MAJORITY of people who are on welfare are not scamming the system...I think it is a good program for people who are in need. God forbid any of us would sadly be in the position of needing it....but if we did, thank God it's there.

I also think it's good there will be a program to help people facing foreclosure...not everyone is a deadbeat. I look at my sister who has worked her entire life....has a disability....has a husband who had such a massive stroke he will never be "normal" again....was laid off and now she could lose her house. It's easy to lump everyone together....but to me it's not so simple.

Octo mom is whack job....it is unfortunate that her bad decisions put so many others in a bad light.
You are right Kristine, but like others have said, the whole system is a disaster. People get on welfare and it is such a vicious cycle that they can't seem to get off. I honestly feel horrible for the people facing foreclosure that were slapped upside the head with it. Like the dad who lost his job because of the economy, or the single mom who's dh walked out on her and he isn't paying child support. All the people that I was ranting against are the deadbeat ones that just suck the life out of the entire system. I've been having issues with xh lately, which is why all this is bothering me so much, and I just took everything too personally. I need to learn how to tune it all out and only be concerned about myself and my situation.

Evening everyone, anything exciting going on?

Kristine Gary & I are home alone tonight as well, but I do not for see any vodka floats tonight :rotfl:

:wizard: :wizard: YAY for no more port!

My mom's sister is going through chemo now for colon cancer. This is another thing that has fallen on my mom to help out with. She never complains once, because that is what families do, but my cousins (her kids) need to step up to the plate as well. She has a grown son that lives at home who can NEVER help out because he either HAS to be at work or it is the time that he HAS his son. She has daughters that live in SC and Florida.

I love how you word things Elizabeth :goodvibes

I got some stuff thrown into a bag. Really, all we need is a change of clothes and 2 swimsuits each. I'll put my bathroom stuff in it in the morning.

Nicholas has had a stuffy nose the past few days. Last night he had trouble sleeping. Today the nurse called that he was complaining of a sore throat and had a low grade fever. I took him to the doctor and the strep test was negative. He did give him a prescription in case anything is brewing.
