DDA Chapter 18

Debbie - Brandon is so right about his new job!

Deb - how is your kitty this morning?

It is too soon to tell. he's only had one dose of the thyroid medicine and while he ate some of the dry food yesterday he didn't eat much during the night. I caved and gave him a can of the new wet food last night too, but he only ate about 1/4 of the can. I hoped that both bowls would be empty this morning. The key for us is to get him to eat the new food, without giving in and feeding him the food that he has ate since he was 2. Most people wouldn't even know he was sick, but Chris and I had noticed the weight loss and his insatiable hunger and thirst. We will keep an eye on him the next couple of days to make sure he is eating and hope the meds kick in quickly to stop the weight loss. Hopefully he will fatten up again.

I'm not sure how my day will go. I have work at 4 PM and intended to take the kids to the pool beforehand, but it has been so packed there with schools out that I may not do so. I can work out after work tonight to keep myself on track. Nick is complaining of a sore throat too. Tomorrow I have my drug test and I'm thinking I might take the kids to the movies, but I don't even know what is playing. :confused3 I don't work until 5 PM tomorrow night.

Anne Marie, I am so excited that we'll get to meet in person!!

Elizabeth- Sorry yesterday was filled with drama.

Deb- I hope the meds work for Riley. Good luck in figuring out your schedules.

Tia- I am sorry that the house buying has been delayed.

Glynis- Glad to see you back!!

Tammi- Our Christmas break starts on Christmas Eve, which is so ridiculous! I wish they would give them the 2 weeks off. And we start 2 weeks before Labor Day. :headache: :headache:

Welcome
Aubrey Marie!

Congratulations Debbie & Family!

what a beautiful princess!!:lovestruc

Congratulations to the entire family!!

Our Christmas break starts 12/21. I THOUGHT they had decided to cut Thanksgiving back to just 3 days and have the kids out by Memorial day, but NOPE. Still a whole week off at Thanksgivng and school into the first week of June. Boneheads.

Hi, all!

Debbie - what a beautiful little granddaughter you have there! I'm so glad all went well. :lovestruc Brandon looks pretty pleased, too. :thumbsup2 I hope they get to come home tomorrow!

Glynis - welcome back!

Heidi - one day?! :yay: :yay: :yay: I'm sure you and John will have a great time!

Robyn - yay for your ticker!!! I'm very jealous of all the August talk, but there's no hope for us this year. You guys will just need to take lots of pics! :thumbsup2

Tia - I'm sorry for the delay in the house hunting - I hope it's not as long as you might fear! All body parts crossed that the house you like will still be on the market (or an even better one has come along) by the time you're ready to make your move! :wizard:

Elin and Tammi - sorry about the sleet/snow (and the wacky school calendar)! I hope Alyssa's award ceremony went well, Tammi! Is Bob feeling better after his fall in your backyard?

Anne Marie - I'm sorry the sellers of house #1 are giving you the run-around. I hope you have a better experience with house #2!

Elizabeth - sorry to hear DS had a rough day at school yesterday! I'm glad his leg wasn't seriously injured!

Well, I'm slowling getting things done at last. The party invitations are officially delivered. (I'd emailed the moms last week when I wasn't able to get them in the mail earlier.) All the mail has been taken care of. My email accounts are fully cleaned up - something that never seems to happen. Laundry is in process. I stumbled across the perfect template for the birthday decorations. Now I'm ready for a muffin and some coffee. After that, it's back to the party work since we need to go shopping for the rest of her stuff tonight.

Deb,
Hope you can get your cat to eat the new food & he can gain some weight.:wizard:

I have a stunning headache. I took 4 Advil and they didn't even take the edge off.

Lindsay - What's new with you?

Tia - I am glad somebody is accomplishing somehting!

I better try a Dole Whip this time, or Ann Marie will disown me.

Ooh, ooh I am accomplishing something. :cool1: I did the laundry and now going to dust and vacuum.

Sounds like a very productive morning! When you're done, do you care to come to Dallas? ;)
