DDA Chapter 18

How far along? You didn't look pregnant at all when we had lunch. :goodvibes

You're sweet! :goodvibes But see, that's why I wasn't eating - I can only handle certain things right now, and I have to really gear myself up for them to even make them sound remotely appetizing in my head. Thank goodness the stomach flu has been going around, as it's been an easy scapegoat. :rotfl:

I am a little over 9 weeks - the due date is 9/22. We were a bit surprised to have success early on (fertility DOES NOT run in my family), but we are delighted. :cloud9:

I found out while I was in Florida - you could say Disney helped me be pregnant very early. I took a test just as a CYA to make sure I could ride all the rides with my dad - imagine my shock when it turned positive! :rotfl:

So, look what I did yesterday....

I was wondering if that was the reason you had the stomach bug:goodvibes

Congratulations!!!

A new DDA family member....I am so excited!!:cool1:

Lindsay - How excting!!
They say the nausea actually peaks at 9 weeks, so hopefully it will start to taper off. I was fine after 14 weeks, but that first trimester was brutal.

Lindsay I am so happy for you & Jonathan, congratulations! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

OMG That is Terrific. I'm so happy for you. When's your do date? How are you feeling? This seems like great timing considering your year.

Thanks, Robyn!!! (I'm hoping the font color you used is off though. ;) )

And thanks, Deb!!

Umm, I can't say I'm enjoying pregnancy as of yet, but I have a prescription for an anti-nausea drug that I'm hoping will take the edge off. I have no energy, either, and my skin has gone haywire! About the only thing I like so far is how strong and long my nails are. :goodvibes I'm hoping things vastly improve over the next few weeks, though.

I think it's just now really starting to sink in. Seeing photographic evidence of it is so flooring!

The timing is ironic - we are just so thankful Jonathan still has his job after last month! My problem is now going to be finding something to do on an interim basis, because I do have plans to stay home for at least the first few years. Ethically, I can't see putting myself out there for a job that I would only be in 6 months or so. I have been thankful I haven't had to drag myself to work every morning with the way I've been feeling, though!

Elizabeth I hope your headache is going away :wizard:

Heidi what time do you leave tomorrow?

Deb hope Riley starts eating his food :wizard:

Thanks, Theresa, Elizabeth and Janet. :goodvibes

It's funny - I think you guys might be more intuitive than our local friends. I spent an afternoon with a good friend who has a 9-mo. old the other day and was subtly pumping her for all sorts of info., and she didn't have a clue!

Now, my friends from my old job are very suspicious - being that the last 2 times I've seen them I haven't had an alcoholic beverage. My former boss has been houdning me and calling me a liar. I hope to see them on Friday so I can fess up. It will also help me get out of her birthday celebration - she's trying to get a group to go sky-diving with her. :rotfl2:

It's funny how these things work, obviously, it was the right time. :goodvibes

I thought it was more green then blue, I'll go change it!!

my oldest is a stinker....she shared a drink with a sick kiddo last week and then turned around and shared it with me....my throat is ticklish and my eyes are burning and I am still exhausted even though I got a reasonable amount of sleep.

She asked me to call her out for one class (in the middle of the day) and wasn't thrilled with my caveat...she has to come straight home after her last class and can't stay for any extra cirriculars.

Lindsay & Jonathan

Congratulations!!

What wonderful news!!!!!

Lindsay congratulations!!

Now we know why you haven't been posting much. ;)

Lindsay - I hope the anti-nausea meds help! I have those accupressure wrist bands that are supposed to help if you want them. They didn't help me, but for whatever reason I still have them. :confused3 I did well with sour things - limeades from Sonic, sour berry Lifesavers, fresh grapefruit, Granny Smith apples. Alcohol and sky diving are definitely OUT. ;)

Once you are feeling better Marci and I need to plan a celebratory lunch for you!!

It never even occurred to me that you might be pregnant. The whole city has been felled by illness, so I figured you were just plain sick!

I was just kidding you! ;)

Uh oh - no fun!!!!! I hope it goes away for you soon. :wizard:

Thanks, Anne Marie!

Lindsay congratulations!!

Thanks, Heidi!

Yes, for a week or two there I couldn't even stand to be on the computer. You definitely know it's bad if that happens!

A limeade doesn't sound bad - might need to try to get one of those today. Ginger snaps first thing in the morning have helped somewhat, too. Right now, I'm searching for a drink I can stand - nothing tastes good right now!

:cheer2: Congratulations to both of you!!! :cheer2:

Thanks, Chanon!
