Thanks! Monday's pictures are better but we had a whirlwind day on our last full day so that will have to wait. I'm getting too cold and I should try to get to work early in the morning as I have so much to do there.

Bernadette thanks for posting pictures of Tom Sawyer Island. This is something we have yet to do, looks interesting!

Lizzy & Halley had a blast. I enjoyed it but probably would have liked it even more if the weather had been nicer.

Elin - Sorry that Sat turned out to be not so hot, though the float did look yummy. Sounds like a good dinner tonight though! Both special burgers sounded delicious!

Tammy - I think your gift for Bob was great! Sounds like a nice weekend for you all.

Becky - Sounds like things are coming together for your trip. Some of my favorites are Flame Tree BBQ, 50s Prime Time, and Crystal Palace.

Deb - I'm glad that you got your training lined up and are already on the schedule. Sounds like a great deal for you all around! The housework will get done. It always does.

Jen - Our prayers continue for Manny. I am so sorry that the news hasn't been good today.

Jennifer - You're really coming along on the packing! I can't belive your trip is so close.

Theresa - Hope the interview went well today. Lots of extra to keep you going through all of your situations.

I'm sure that there was more I wanted to comment on, but I was using Bernadette's big post as a major crutch and can't think much past it. Lots of and all around though!

Hello all! Long time no talk it always seems.

Saturday turned out really nice. I made chocolate covered strawberries and cakes for Phil and Terra. They each prefer a different chocolate cake recipe so I made 1/2 a recipe of each putting Phil's in a big heart cake pan and Terra's recipe in the small hearts for the rest of us. Then, I made a ganache frosting to top them using some good bittersweet chocolate. They turned out better than I had hoped which was nice. I was also able to find the exact Webkinz I went looking for for Terra and she was thrilled with it.

That night, we dropped Terra off at the Kid's Night Out at church and Phil spent our first evening alone together in 2+ years. We didn't do anything fancy - just dinner at Boston Market, hanging out and talking, a quick trip to Office Max to pick up the Photoshop program I wanted before it went off of sale, and a walk through Target looking for birthday present ideas for Terra. It wasn't much, but it was still nice. Terra had a great time too so hopefully Phil will quit worrying so much and we'll be able to do it again sooner than 2+ years.

So on Saturday afternoon we went to look at 7 of the houses I have on my "show Phil" list. We decided that we liked 3-4 or them pretty well, but really liked one of them. I had already really liked the kitchen, master bedroom and the bathrooms, but didn't really get a good sense of the rest of the house at the open house I'd been to as the Realtor kept talking to me. This time though I saw again how much I liked the kitchen, really loved the backyard and realized there was a small neighborhood park/playground within sight of the back porch. Phil really seemed to get a good feel from it too and really liked it.

Unfortunately, his mom called later in the evening and it looks like our timetable has slowed a little bit. I figure that pretty much means the houses we've liked will be gone by then, but I'll keep an eye on then and then start looking again in a month or two. She said "late spring" this time when in early January she'd said a "couple of months". I'm trying not to be too disappointed or lose hope that things will work out. The whole thing has got me feeling pretty blah today, but Phil is trying to keep me from getting too down saying that he got the distinct impression that the offer is not off of the table, just delayed slightly. I think I'm just afraid to think about it too much for fear of disappointment in the end.

Well, after a busy Saturday, taking Terra ice skating along with Kristi's family and others from their church on Sunday, hosting a sleepover with Kassie and Connor last night, dance this morning, baby all day, and babysitting Kristi's kids tonight - I am beat! It is hours and hours past when I wish I could have gone to bed so I'm going to do my best to get there now.

How is it that all of my weekends seem to sneak away without a time to recover from my week? This coming one won't be any better with a Scout event Friday night, Terra's birthday party on Saturday and the family celebration of all 3 girls' birthdays on Sunday. Plus, my mom and dad's best friends might come in for the weekend. That may very well mean late-nights of cards/dominos, but that's a loss of sleep I'm actually looking forward too!

We arrived home after just over 5 hours of driving. As always, we had such a grand time. It snowed most of the way home, but it was just a nuisance snow.

Kristine, sorry I missed wishing you a Happy Birthday.

Yes, I am so very bummed out about Mouse Fest. Not sure what this all will mean with our trip. I still want to do the cruise because that was such an awesome time.

Thank you, she is scheduled for surgery at 7:30 am and has to be at the hospital by 6:00 am. I'm not sure when I'll be on tomorrow but I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

Can't wait to see the pics. I just love babies.

I got a text from Kristin while I was teaching my last class. She and Bob were at a downtown ale house waiting for me to come out to dinner!

I walked over after I was done teaching and we each tried a new beer. Monday nights they have $1 burgers (1/2 pound of Angus beef) or $2 for their specialty burgers (Smokehouse with smoked gouda and bacon or Maytag with blue cheese and caramelized onions). When dinner was over Kristin grabbed the check. They have almost redeemed themselves for last Saturday.

When you and Janet go, get on the first raft of the day over there. The CMs hide paint brushes around the island. Well, they aren't really 'hidden', more like left lying around. If you find one, take it back to a CM and you will get a FP for your party for either SplM or BTMRR. My kids had fun doing this.
