Friday the avoidance thing worked out well. I'm thinking I should make a point of walking at lunch to limit time with that person. My office is high on a hill so that won't work too well on cold days but maybe I should mall walk on those days as the mall is about 2 miles down the road.


I called IPO about the ADR's they messed up-made most of them for 3 instead of 2 and got all those fixed. I also changed Jiko to Boma. AND.....I told them I couldn't do a party of 4 for the Sunrise Safari on Thursday. She said I would have to talk to the "safari" office about that. I told the safari folks that I didn't have Terry & Halley on my reservation because they would only be there for one night and I didn't want to buy park tickets or DDP for them. She said I could add them to the room after I got there and they had lots of openings for the safari on Sunday. I am so excited that Terry & Halley can join us on this. I'm sure they will love it!!!!





In other good news.....I got my Christmas stuff put away.

As far as I know , we ares taying at a friends house down in Florida--he told me to book the flight and he would take care of everythign else.

I am pretty much breaking down right now. We just got a call that Manny is not doing well at all. I am in absolute tears and just broke down crying on my dad. I love my firemen family and its killing me that one of our guys is in such bad shape and no one can do anything. Just watching ihs family yesterday at the fundraiser broke my heart--i just cannot stop crying.
If you are so inclined, please keep manny, his family, and our f iremen family in your prayers

I worked and it was okay. I came home and typed up a few things for work and now I'm heading to bed to begin reading the lifeguard manual. That should bore me to sleep pretty quickly

I got a text from Kristin while I was teaching my last class. She and Bob were at a downtown ale house waiting for me to come out to dinner!

I walked over after I was done teaching and we each tried a new beer. Monday nights they have $1 burgers (1/2 pound of Angus beef) or $2 for their specialty burgers (Smokehouse with smoked gouda and bacon or Maytag with blue cheese and caramelized onions). When dinner was over Kristin grabbed the check. They have almost redeemed themselves for last Saturday.

We decided to start at DHS so Halley & Terry could ride Toy Story Mania (um...and me too ) and see Bolt.

Terry drove since we had bad bus service the last time Lizzy & I tried it. We made it to the park for opening. I ran (walked really fast....) ahead to get fast passes and met Terry & the girls in the standby queue. We got a return time of 10:25 and only waited about 10 minutes standby.

Terry beat me.

We did the Little Mermaid-haven't done this since 2002.

Went to Animation courtyard and Lizzy wanted to do the show thing again. Terry said she didn't think they had ever done it. THen we saw Mickey and Bolt and the girls did some of the game things while we waited for Rhino to come out.

We went back to ride Toy Story Mania on our fast passes. I beat Terry this time!

We left DHS and drove to MK.

We took the ferry from TTC to MK. We saw some bald eagles while waiting for the ferry.

It was about 1:00pm so we wanted to get some lunch. We were going to go to Pecos Bills but it was closed. They were serving sandwiches at Diamond Horseshoe but the girls wanted chicken nuggets. We waited forever in the line at the fry cart near splash mountain. The line wasn't that long but it was so slow! Terry & I got chicken sandwiches and they were pretty good.

Halley couldn't wait to take Lizzy to Tom Sawyer's Island. Lizzy had never been before and really enjoyed it!

We met up with the parade when we got off the raft from Tom Sawyer's Island.

We went to ride Pirates. Halley flipped out when we went to get in a front row seat. Lizzy & I got in the front row. I don't know if anyone else got "bumped" off the boat when she got in the 2nd row.

Terry took Lizzy to Swiss Family Tree House (Halley wouldn't do it). I was going to go to check when a few characters would be out but we saw Rafiki so we went to see him then we went to see Captain Hook & Mr Smee. Then we had ice cream at Aloha Isle. I decided to try the orange/vanilla swirl. I wish I got a Dole Whip. Then we went to Tomorrow Land.

The girls wanted to do the speedway and surprisingly the line wasn't too bad.

We rode the TTA.

We did Carousel of Progress then Monster Inc Laugh Floor.

Terry & Halley had to leave to go home. Lizzy & I got a fast pass for Space and did Pooh standby.

Used our Space fast pass.

Then we found a spot for the fireworks. It was a bit crowded near the castle so we were off the side a bit.

Movies is fun! Lots of great photo ops there.

It was there or sports. I have stayed at sports previously. I used to work at All Stars, as well as others.

The initial point of the trip was to find a job and place to live in FL. Somehow it has transformed into a fun trip. Not sure how I feel about that. I am still hoping to set up interviews and things but not sure what will conspire. Whatever happens, happens!
