Katie just came home screaming that she lost her glasses. I told her to calm down but she's hysterical as usual. She'll have to go to the Lost & Found at school & see if they have them. She is complaining that she needs contacts. Is 13 to young for contacts?

No. But it is contracts like that that keep me subscribed to those e-mails. One of these days I will see one like that and grab it.

Thanks for the input on the contacts. I guess 13 is an ok age for them. I just hope she can find her glasses tomorrow since she can't see the board at school without them.

Ok we can play around with dates. I wasn't sure when all the DDA'ers overlapped.

I know kids at school that got them much younger than that.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I lost some weight as well this past week, and I'm still going strong. I think 8 days must be some kind of record for me (as pitiful as that is ).

for the stress of moving! I hope that you can find a way to make it as easy as possible on all of you.

It is going to be flipping cold this week. The low on several days is in single digits.

We have a day long meeting on Wednesday for work, I am so not thrilled to go.

Tia- What about a giraffe print rug, to put on top of the floor.

Anne Marie- Great job on the weight watchers. Sorry Katie lost her glasses, hope things start improving and you find a buyer. I know some people who have had contacts at age 13. They just need to take good care of them.

Week 1 on WW's & I lost 7.5 lbs.

All water weight I am sure but hey I'll take it!

Crazy here. Lets just say we are all stressed over the move. I would like to stay til June so the kids can finish out their school year. Not sure if thats an option though. So much cr@p going on right now with all this. We had a guy come in the other day to see the house & all he did was complain about it. I just wanted him out. Anyway, I haven't had a chance to read everything so I am sending everyone

It's already flippin cold here and the temps are still dropping. It should be well below zero for snowboarding on Wednesday

Joe seems to be all better now and no more victims yet.

Colby came home from school very excited today. The teacher had sat all of the kindergartners in a circle and placed wooden letters in the middle. She went around the circle asking each kid to pick up a specific letter. Colby said that all of the other kids got some wrong, but he got all of his right Chris and I played it with him tonight and he got every single letter correct We are so proud of him. Apparently it did sink in over time. Nick just asked me to help him with etiquette. I had to look up the answers for each question because I wasn't sure of the answers

Hunter is complaining of being dizzy a lot. I guess I should call his doctor and run it by him. First it was headaches and those have gone away for the most part, but now he is feeling dizzy. Most of the time it is just when he sits or stands, but other times it is when he is walking along. He says that things just go black. I can remember that happening to me all the time when I was a teen, but I don't remember when it started Vicki didn't one of your girls have this? I'll call the doctor tomorrow

Is it that important for the dog to be able to see out of BOTH eyes? Maybe you should just get him a patch.

The Dr. said DS could have contacts last year when he first got his glasses. It was me who decided against them.
I am cool with moving the DDA dinner to another date and/or restaurant. We can do breakfast if that works better for everyone. I have us going to AK 8/10, MK 8/11, BB 8/12, MK 8/13, EP 8/14. We'll be around the morning of 8/15, but that's our departure day.

It wouldn't be quite that bad if we didn't need a room that sleeps 8 people. Then the resort tax is some ludicrous rate. THEN the occupancy rules are squirrelly. You can have 8 people in the room, but the price is only for 6 people. So if we have 8 people I will owe more money. Whatever. DS didn't get much for Christmas, and he is turning 13, which is kind of special.

I agree -- 13 is special. Jake was just invited to go with a friend when they are out for teacher converences in a month or so. Andrew is going to be so jealous!

Congrats to those who are losing weight -- Anne Marie, Beth, and Deb. (Deb -- I really think the weight loss will pick up significantly, so hang in there!) Thank you for sharing your success. I'm hoping that will help motivate me. My sister and her husband are starting WW, so I think I will go with them. The pics from our trip are scary! I look like I've gained more than just five pounds since last Christmas, and I needed to lose at least 5 then.

Deb -- I hope you can find out what is wrong with Hunter ASAP. Congrats to Colby!
