DDA Chapter 17

I got mine when I turned 14 (in July) right before my freshman year in high school.
Thanks.

I have elected to keep DS in glasses for now. When he was young he had HORRIBLE eye infections and was very susceptible to pink eye. I am just worried about contacts being too difficult for him to keep clean. I will allow him to have them eventually, but not right now.

All I have done so far is gripe about the booking window for ADRs. :rolleyes1 I have it penciled in on my itinerary for August 12, tentatively at Cape May because it was such a hit last year. Please let me know if you have other ideas! :goodvibes

I don't want her to get them for the same reasons you mentioned above.
Not sure what date off hand the 12th is..I know we are going to be at MK Tues & Wed of our time there. I am not sure when everyone plans to be there either. Oh wait, I see the 12th is a Wednesday. Hmmmm ok let me see what I am doing. I am using last years TGM for my days for this trip.

Katie just came home screaming that she lost her glasses. I told her to calm down but she's hysterical as usual. She'll have to go to the Lost & Found at school & see if they have them. She is complaining that she needs contacts. :confused3 Is 13 to young for contacts?

my nephew had them at 10....but he's spoiled rotten and he wasn't really taking care of them, my MIL was. :rolleyes1

I would say 13 is just about right.

Anne Marie - We can switch to another date if another date works better for everyone. I think at this point everybody is planning to be there that whole week from Aug. 9-15, with some of us going home the 15th, so any of those days Mon - Fri would be fine. I don't have my planning stuff at work with me today so I don't know what days we are going to be at which park.

You are off to an awesome start with WW! :thumbsup2 I didn't even lose 7.5 lbs. giving birth to DS. :sad2: He weighed EXACTLY 7 lbs., and I went home weighing EXACTLY 7 lbs. less.

Dang that lodge is expensive.

I thought the same thing. :scared1:

It wouldn't be quite that bad if we didn't need a room that sleeps 8 people. Then the resort tax is some ludicrous rate. THEN the occupancy rules are squirrelly. You can have 8 people in the room, but the price is only for 6 people. So if we have 8 people I will owe more money. Whatever. DS didn't get much for Christmas, and he is turning 13, which is kind of special. :)

It wasn't any cheaper doing 2 rooms?

::yes::

Elizabeth-you are right...13 is one of those milestone birthdays. We've got one of those in May. :goodvibes

I got mine towards the end of eighth grade, and that was back when contacts weren't as kind to the eyes. I'm pretty sure Matthew was 13 or 14. I think that Laura is going to need glasses soon, and I'm guessing that she'll go straight to contacts (with back-up glasses). I don't know how bad Katie's vision is (probably not too bad if she can lose her glasses). Mine is horrendous, and I see much better with contacts than glasses.

Week 1 on WW's & I lost 7.5 lbs.

All water weight I am sure but hey I'll take it!

Crazy here. Lets just say we are all stressed over the move. I would like to stay til June so the kids can finish out their school year. Not sure if thats an option though. So much cr@p going on right now with all this. We had a guy come in the other day to see the house & all he did was complain about it. I just wanted him out. Anyway, I haven't had a chance to read everything so I am sending everyone

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I lost some weight as well this past week, and I'm still going strong. I think 8 days must be some kind of record for me (as pitiful as that is :sad2: ).

 for the stress of moving! I hope that you can find a way to make it as easy as possible on all of you.
