DDA Chapter 17

Still need this info please.
I am going to send out Valentines.
Could someone please pm me Robyn and Chanon's last names and I need Stephanie's last name and address?
They are not on the new DDA contact info.

Thank you, Heidi

Does anyone know anything about census jobs? You know, the ones they hire temporarily for the census taking period?

I saw a thread on the CB about it. I would bet to be hired around here you have to be bilingual. Have you looked online? Maybe Google "census jobs" or something?

Terry  for you & Hal.

Elizabeth so glad to hear dh got the weekend off!

Tia sounds like your house hunting is looking positive :thumbsup2

Theresa & Jennifer hope your migraines leave as quickly as they came :wizard:

Jennifer :cool1: for the Braves tickets!

Our snow just started & I am really dreading the wind & the temperatures they are predicting :sad2:

Kristine you already have a blizzard warning! Stay safe

MUST...NOT...BUY...THAT...25 PT. VWL CONTRACT...TSS...HAS...LISTED! Must show restraint! Must be practical! :headache: But it sure would be nice to have! :rolleyes1

I made Hunter's blanket and walked down to put it in the washer when I noticed that the wall anchor that we used on one of the coat bars in the entry had pulled through :headache: So I started the wash and then got my tools out. I had to relocate the screws on all of the racks to make sure they are now set securely into studs. That meant drilling new holes and plugging them. It was a mess, but at least it was a fairly quick fix and I had the materials on hand to do it. Now the blanket is in the dryer so hopefully all the loose fur comes off in the dryer rather than all over my house. Hunter insisted on red furry fleece. It is very soft, but sheds horribly. The other side of the blanket is a royal blue with bright primary colors of surf boards. It has all the colors that are in his comforter. I promised him the blanket last year, thankfully he still had reds in his new room :rotfl: Now I need to sew some patches on Colby and Hunter's bowling shirts and later I want to make some draft guards for under our doors.

Feel better Theresa,
I went to bed last night with a Migraine I also took some Exedrine Migraine I woke up with a migraine still. I also add sneezing and runny nose to that.

I hope you're feeling better. I've gotten full blown migraines 4-5 times in the last week and a half... usually it's just about 2 a month. Maybe weather-related? Ick!

Well, the open housing went pretty well yesterday. Terra and I ended up seeing 9 houses. 3 were all right together and while they were cute, the neighborhood and home-style is just too unique to really see appreciation, I think. We did find 3 that I really liked. As soon as we get the go-ahead from Phil's mom we'll check on those more, plus keep looking some more. From the 12 houses we've seen the last two Sunday's I think I now have a good handle on what we're looking for and what is out there in those categories. Now, to just let MIL finish their taxes and get things in line for us to proceed.

:yay:

So, DH talked to his boss and he has the Fri & Sat of Super Bowl weekend off! :scared1: I booked our room at Great Wolf for Fri. 1/30. We need to find someone to look after Princess that afternoon, but Momboss said not to worry about it. I e-mailed the moms of DS's friends that I have e-mail addresses for. The other 2 will have to have written invites. I have phone numbers for one, but the other little guy is new this year. I have met his mom but I don't have ANY of their contact info.

I guess I need to phone my cake lady and give her a heads up. I told her yesterday I thought we were doing Feb. 7.

I'm glad your DH has those days off.... it's certainly nice that he's being appreciated, at least now and then! ;)

My mom did it the last time around, I can see what she remembers. Unfortunately, it wasn't a well-paying job then, as Theresa's media suggested. I can't imagine it would be much better now, but who knows!

I just talked with Chris. He thinks he will be out early again today. That is not great for his paycheck, but it will give us an opportunity to go look at a used car. A friend of ours works at a Ford dealership and he picked up a 2003 mini van that needs a motor. He justs wants to get the $150 that he has in it. He can also get us a motor at cost for about $800. Chris can do the work, but he is not psyched about it being a Ford. I still want to look at it. I miss my van as the car is too small if I have my neice and nephew and the Camry needs the motor rebuilt which is likely to cost $1300. We'll see how it all goes. After that I'll hit Home Depot, BJs and the grocery store.

so I went to check on the turkey to get it ready for the oven....the dang thing is frozen on the bottom and thawed on top. I thought five days were plenty of time to defrost...obviously I was mistaken:rolleyes1 I am doing a quick defrost....hopefully. And I will add some cooking time. :headache:

I also went to do the dishes and there is NO dishsoap:headache:

Today is just not going very well!

that seems like a decent deal for the van.

Week 1 on WW's & I lost 7.5 lbs.

All water weight I am sure but hey I'll take it!

Crazy here. Lets just say we are all stressed over the move. I would like to stay til June so the kids can finish out their school year. Not sure if thats an option though. So much cr@p going on right now with all this. We had a guy come in the other day to see the house & all he did was complain about it. I just wanted him out. Anyway, I haven't had a chance to read everything so I am sending everyone

Katie just came home screaming that she lost her glasses. I told her to calm down but she's hysterical as usual. She'll have to go to the Lost & Found at school & see if they have them. She is complaining that she needs contacts. :confused3 Is 13 to young for contacts?

Elizabeth,
Do you have an idea of where we may be eating for the August DDA meet?

We started talking about where we wanted to go over the weekend so I started making some plans. Not sure if you mentioned it or not.

I got mine when I turned 14 (in July) right before my freshman year in high school.

I have elected to keep DS in glasses for now. When he was young he had HORRIBLE eye infections and was very susceptible to pink eye. I am just worried about contacts being too difficult for him to keep clean. I will allow him to have them eventually, but not right now.

All I have done so far is gripe about the booking window for ADRs. :rolleyes1 I have it penciled in on my itinerary for August 12, tentatively at Cape May because it was such a hit last year. Please let me know if you have other ideas! :goodvibes

So if a high-end toy boutique exploded the results would be Princess's house. :rolleyes1 There is more stuff in here that I thought possible.
Anybody heard of Calico Critters? We now have a house, furniture for every room, a preschool, and a store. The pieces are miniscule. You practically need tweezers to pick them up. Luckily Princess could swallow handfuls of them and never have to worry about choking because they are FAR too small to choke on. She doesn't put toys in her mouth, but if she did we would be safe.
