DDA Chapter 16

I just realized that I forgot to thank Robyn and Terry for the ornament exchanges that they sent. Leslie's package arrived just as we were leaving for my dad's house, so she opened it in the car. She was thrilled with the Hannah Montana ornaments, and all the goodies, too. She did share with her siblings, so they were happy campers as well.

Terry sent the cutest Winnie the Pooh ornament for Timothy. It is so darling! We just love the classic Pooh, and his side of the boys room is all classic Pooh! The 4 parks ornament is just wonderful, too! I hope to someday get to all 4 parks. Thanks so much!

I wish that I had pictures of them, but Alan put all the Christmas stuff away before I had a chance. Please know that we are thrilled with all the ornaments we received this year.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

I just loved this one :goodvibes

I had another good day. Breakfast, meds & vitamins, my water, only one pepsi, and my exercise! That is 6 days now. I rode a stationary bike for 40 minutes. Today was crosstraining day. Anything but walking/running.

I am also thinking I want to make a trek to the Lehigh Valley Zoo. I have not been there for years, since I was in second grade.;) They just got penguins and I want to check them out.

So far I have done a good job eating and drinking my water. I had a small amount of chocolate yesterday and today. But that is much better then the ton of chocolate and cookies I had been eating daily. I know if I eliminate it, I will just eat a ton at one time. I have not had any fast food. I have had no soda. I got at least 8 hours of sleep last night. I have done very little exercise. Maybe these two days will be my none workout days for the week.

I need to workout though. I really want to go outside and walk. Not when everything is turning all icy, it is not happening.

Have a great night everyone.

Today is day 6 on our diet. I haven't cheated, but I'm not seeing the scale even wiggle. Hopefully it will be nice and move a bit when I weigh in on Thursday.

I decided to submit an application to the new aquatics center. I didn't list a specific position, just that I would like to discuss the options and I am will to get certified for whatever I can, lifeguard, WSI, cpr, first aide, etc. We'll see if I even get a call back. I suspect that they have probably already hired for most positions as I wasn't going to apply, then changed my mind again. :rotfl2:

I really need to add exercise into my routine so working there would solve a couple of big issues for me. When I told Colby that I was applying this was his reply "you mean you are going to work THREE jobs":rotfl:

You showed us a link to the center when you were first thinking about it. It looks way cool! I hope they call you. Stay on the diet. I think you will start to see some results, and probably not just a pound, but more like several pounds all at once. You can do it!

We are doing science fair, of course. :rolleyes1
The only thing left is bibliography. DS said his science teacher said they can have until Friday to turn the projects in, but I want him to take it in tomorrow. It's not like the project would be any better if he waited 2 more days to turn it in. The board is all done, the written stufff is done, the bibliography is the last hurdle. The thing is, he didn't use 5 sources so we need to get creative to come up with 5 sources to list.

I was going to suggest the same thing Tammi said -- can't you list the DDA as a source? :rotfl:

This darn antibiotic is kicking my butt, I can't wait until Friday when I'll be done. I've been on it now since the Monday before Christmas. It is giving me wicked heartburn or what feels like heartburn. I swear the pill gets stuck in my esophagus and then radiates this burning pain through my chest. UGH.

Can you take it with milk or yogurt, or is it supposed to be taken at least an hour before diary? I've been taking mine with a ton of water. My burn usually happens somewhere else when taking antibiotics, but I have been taking diflucan every other day. Only two more days for me.

You August people are killing me! In December, I missed Elin by a day, I didn't realize Debbie planned a quick trip, and I'm missing most of you by between a day and a week. UGGGHHH!!!! For August, you guys really should be there to celebrate my birthday, and then stay over for Elizabeth's. :rotfl:

You all are putting me to shame. I had a sliver of pumpkin pie with coffee for breakfast, and a shortbread. Egg salad sandwich on pump with Cheetos, Dr. Pepper for lunch; Mongolian beef, corn, cranberries and bread for dinner; and my cake and ice cream for dessert. Throw in a variety of small cookies, chocolates and a hunk of cheese for snacks too. So you all are going to look slim and trim and lead a nice healthful life. I'm going to stay blubbery and die from clogged arteries.

I am on my 3rd bottle of water for the day. I haven't done Wii Fit today. I haven't eaten anything THAT terrible, but I haven't eaten healthy, either. It's a shame I ate the rest of the ice cream last night because some celebratory ice cream would cap off the science project quite nicely!

That sounds like my non diet days. You see you just haven't gotten fat enough to find the motivation to lose yet. Having been 200 lbs in the past I can now find the motivation at a lower number :thumbsup2 The lady that I'm working with this week calls WW the Chub Club. I guess you aren't a member of the chub club yet ;)

It's time to uncork the wine :goodvibes

Here's a picture just for you Elin,

Thank you, Debbie!!! :goodvibes   :cool1: :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2: :goodvibes

I just made an amazingly delicious dinner. It was even a thumbs up with my fussy kids. I used wheat thins fiber selects. I used about 26 crackers which is 4 points and crushed them fairly well. Then I coated white meat chicken strips with the crackers and fried them in an extra light virgin olive oil (just a light coating on the pan). I also sauteed some veggies in teriaki marinade and served it with brown rice. so mine was 4 oz of chicken on a 1/2 cup of brown rice with a ton of veggies for 8 points. It was delicious. Hunter even went back for seconds on the chicken :thumbsup2 I don't often find diet fare delicious. And I cooked enough for tomorrow. The best part is that I actually ate all of my veggies and my essential oils (I never do that)

this sounds really good. :thumbsup2

I had coffee for breakfast; a PB&J sandwich and some of those "veggie" potato chips for lunch; a Chex Mix granola bar (chocolate and carmel flavor) for snack; tortellini with red sauce, veggies, and bread & butter for dinner. No soda. We have candy and cookies on hand, but no cake or pie or ice cream.
You are not blubbery. I am, but I am going to work on boosting my self-esteem so being blubbery won't bother me.

Tonight on Discovery at 9pm they are spotlighting Seltzers Bologna. Hal and I lived a block away from it when we first moved back to Pa. Now his brother works there. I don't think he is in any picture, but the segment is really good. Lots of humor too.

We LOVE Seltzer's Lebanon Bologna!

Nope. BUT that EasyBib website is AMAZING!! OMG! You type in the ISBN number of the book and POOF! it puts it in the bibliography! It was like MAGIC! It will also "auto cite" a website!
