yes..but to get him to take off from his busy schedule to help his brother would most likely take an act of God

Isn't Jonathan some sort of physics prodigy? I think your referral would be grossly misplaced with me. Unless your children are studying the habits of the North Texas Helicopter Mom. Then I am your girl. ;)

I might have missed it being posted, but did you all see that appetizers are back in the ddp? That's the thing I missed most about the ddp. The tips I could live with and understood, but I love the appetizers!

It's finally nice to see Disney GIVING something instead of taking! :yay:

our poor dog seems to have a nasty eye infection....I need to get into the vet today. Kirsten is all worried the dog is going to die....I keep telling her he will be fine, geez

Good morning, DDA! With the return of reality we've got dance today plus the requiste running around of life in general. Luckily, I think that is going to include a trip to Borders so that could be fun. New 40% off coupon, a $5 off coupon and Borders Bucks equals a cheap trip with presents for me! :goodvibes:

However, since the real world and interacting with others requires me to not wear pajamas, I guess I had better go get moving. I hope that everyone's ventures back into the real world aren't too bad. Happy Monday everyone!

Kristine :wizard: for your doggy, and tell Kirsten to stop channeling Bill. ;)

Good Morning DDA!

School is back in. Leighanna definitely didn't want to get up. She was excited to go, but didn't want to go through the motions to get there.

I started a weight loss challenge with a group of friends at work today. I had to get weighed and measured. Sheez, I hated to see how much I gained during the holidays.:sad2:
They also did a BMI measurement and a Body Fat analysis. I don't even want to discuss that!:rolleyes1
So I am determined to eat healthier and try to regain control of what I put in my mouth! I think we can all do this together!

Have a great day DDA!

Good morning, DDA! I guess it's back to reality today. I am so not ready and have been kicking and dragging my feet about this. I've tried to put on a good face in front of the kids, though, since they weren't ready either.

The only good news is that I should be able to check in here a little more regularly.

6:00 came way too early this morning. I've been staying up too late and sleeping in. It's funny, because I used to be a morning person, but I'm definitely more of a night owl now, I guess.

Today is also the day that I start eating healthier, exercising, and (hopefully) losing weight. I'm going to use the Weight Watcher program that I have at home. I really can't afford meetings right now, so I hope that I can be accountable to myself. I started the day out with a little breakfast which is something I have been very bad about.

Today is also the day that I begin to get the clutter and mess in this house under control. This is going to take a very long time, but I will take little steps until it is done.

I feel good about this...I just hope I can follow through!

I'm going to give myself 20 minutes to read back and catch up a bit, and then I need to go start cleaning something.

I'm in! I am heavier than I have ever been (even pregnant), and that is A LOT. It's all about choices, and I'm just going to have to make the right ones.

None of my kids were happy about going to school or having to get up this morning. :sad2:

Im with you on this one..i am dreading work today--i miss the kids but i know they are going to b e nuts and its going to be hard to get back into a routine....330 cannot come soon enough!

have a great day all!

I hate to say that I don't even miss the kids. I could easily not go back to work and not miss any of it...that isn't good, is it? I hope you have a calmer day back than you are expecting. I am glad that I have one day at home before I go back to work.

Good morning. Back to reality here. I woke up at 5am & just watched the clock until it was 6am & poof I was up & about getting the kids ready.

Well I did way to much partying food wise over the break & now weigh more than I have while not being pregnant soooo today I am starting weight watchers (at home) & must get at least 20-30lbs off before the summer. I think thats doable. I am looking forward to doing Wii Fit. Back on track!:thumbsup2

Jennifer,
Nice pictures of the girls...love the snowman.

Deb,
Hope everyone well at your house.

Debbie,
Welcome home. The crowds scare me.

Tammi,
I feel the same way you do about today.:sad2:

Becky,
I am with you! Back to being healthy!

Elizabeth,
What is a helicopter mom?

I guess lots of us are back to being healthy! And feeling the same way about reality. :sad1: :scared1:

It looks like the January slowdown has already hit the restaurant. I only waited on 9 people :sad2: I didn't have anyone sit after 6:30 and they were all gone by 7:30. We closed the restaurant early as it was completely empty. Usually people are using up gift certificates for a couple of weeks after Christmas :confused3 Maybe everyone stayed home to prepare for the reality that tomorrow will bring to most households.

It was nice to walk into a reality clean house for a change :thumbsup2

Yeah for you on the house cleaning! I hope to know that feeling someday.

I'm sorry for the slow down at work. The grocery store was mobbed yesterday. I'm sure that people are feeling like they need to get back to reality, but I hope for you that some people decide to eat out again soon as January goes on and becomes dreary and boring.

We're back from our whirlwind trip, things went well but I have to say that I don't recommend that anyone go the week fter Christmas, it is a total madhouse!

Welcome back! I'm glad that you had a good trip even if the crowds were out of control. I would love to go at Christmas time, but I know that I couldn't handle crowds like that, and dh and the kids would be even worse.

Elin - Potentially NOBODY will be passing this class if we don't get it all finished on time! But we have tomorrow and Tuesday night to finish it up. Like I said, the directions are really confusing as far as what has to be printed out and included. It is confusing ME, so I am sure the kids are probably confused, too.

pixiedust: for the science fair project! I HATE science fair, too. I have two past that age and one to go... Maybe it's been long enough that I can start recycling projects?

Unfortunately for me, my 20 minutes are up. Fortunately for you, you don't have to wade through any more of my P3.

If anyone can give me a quick recap of the last week and a half, I'd really appreciate it!
