DDA Chapter 16

I went over to the resturant board and looked for info on this, it is only an appetizer for kids, no adults. Someone called Disney and the woman said there must be a glitch on the site and that it is only for ages 3-9. And, that by the 9th the website should be completely updated.

I might have missed it being posted, but did you all see that appetizers are back in the ddp? That's the thing I missed most about the ddp. The tips I could live with and understood, but I love the appetizers!

Jennifer - I loved your snow pictures! I think you all have had more snow there in OK than we have had here in VA so far this year. I especially liked your Mr. Potato Head snowman. :goodvibes
thanks Elin and you meant TX not OK;)

Jennifer,
Nice pictures of the girls...love the snowman.
thanks Anne Marie

From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helicopter_parent but this is not a very flattering description...

Whether it is flattering or not, it is completely accurate and I am willing to admit it.

It's finally nice to see Disney GIVING something instead of taking! :yay:

Are we SURE this info is accurate?

our poor dog seems to have a nasty eye infection....I need to get into the vet today. Kirsten is all worried the dog is going to die....I keep telling her he will be fine, geez

I have never heard of a fatal eye infection.

I hate to say that I don't even miss the kids. I could easily not go back to work and not miss any of it...that isn't good, is it? I hope you have a calmer day back than you are expecting. I am glad that I have one day at home before I go back to work.

Time for a new job, Beth!

pixiedust: for the science fair project! I HATE science fair, too. I have two past that age and one to go... Maybe it's been long enough that I can start recycling projects?

DS was trying to convince me to let him re-do a project he did in elementary. I told him no.

Can't be. It's in the package printout.
I just saved it to the computer...let me go find the website again for the PDF..

Crap. Your right.

ETA - again...what are kids appitizers??

On the menus that have the "pick 3" option for kids there is usually carrot sticks, chicken noodle soup, or a little salad as the appetizer. They choose one thing from each category (appetizer, entree, dessert) and it is a flat rate charge. Around $8, I think, unless it is at a signature restaurant. Those run more in the $12 range. UNLESS you are at Tutto Italia, then a kids meal is $20.50 for fruit, pasta, and ice cream. :scared1:

...so they really aren't adding anything then if it's already included if it's a pick three option?

back from the vet....good news is that the dog has a treatable eye infection....although a nasty one.

bad news...he has a heart murmur....and many bad teeth...so they were telling me I should have teeth removed....a heart ultrasound etc. After they started quoting me over $2000 I just zoned out.

when you all figure out the dining plan....will someone give me the highlights?

...so they really aren't adding anything then if it's already included if it's a pick three option?

It sounds like a clarification as opposed to an addition. Since the price is inclusive of all 3 courses they can't exclude the appetizer for DDP guests. Maybe people were confused by that? :confused3 There really wouldn't be a way to pay OOP for the kid's appetizer because they aren't priced a la carte.

Yikes! :scared1: I do know infections in the teeth can cause inflammation of the membranes around the heart, so that would be really bad. How old is the doggie?

The Uncles spent tens of thousands of dollars on their Yorkie. They had MRIs and all sorts of stuff done on him, and he was ANCIENT. I love our cats, but there has to be a point where you draw the line at veterinary procedures.

Morning DDA! I've dreaded today as well (even though I worked on Friday) so I spurged on a McCafe Mocha from McDonalds. Definately NOT Starbucks when you see them break out the RediWhip, no matter what the new ads say.
:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

:scared1: Holy s&^%!!!!

Elizabeth, Janet, Anne Marie, etc. - what are everyone's August dates again?

Janet - I know yours are iffy now.

So we started with 12 ounces of water. So far we have dissolved over 20 teaspoons of sugar into it and it STILL isn't saturated. :headache: It seems like I heard there are 30 teaspoons of sugar in a 12 oz. can of soda. I wonder if that's how much it will take? :scared1: We have been dumping sugar into the cup for over an hour. I think the water is magic and has an infinite capacity to dissolve sugar. :sad2:

I had missed that too, Tia! Thanks for posting it. Our free dining with our Bounceback is even sweeter now! :thumbsup2
