yesterday we got a buyer on half of our DVC Wilderness Lodge points!!

Bill is hell bent on buying BLT points..... and I told him that we do not need WLV and BLT....although for a brief moment I did think about keeping both.....but the dues are a killer :scared1::scared1:

:yay:

What I found so interesting.....I was talking about this and I was amazed how people now equate Santa Claus with a Christian Christmas Music.....so somehow "Up on the Housetop" is supposed to satisfy me. Give me Silent Night!!

Well, there are people who think that just because a song is sung during the Christmas holiday period it is banned! I am not kidding... I have children who are not allowed to play Jingle Bells because the "inference is there" that it is a Christmas song. :confused3 :sad2:

Could everyone please send good thoughts and prayers. I am fearful that Alyssa has lice. She was complaining this morning about the back of her head itching, up in the hair line. I've looked and don't see any creepy crawlies, but their could be nits. I'm not sure what I'm looking for so I'm going to take Nicholas to school and take her into the nurse and ask. If it is lice, I think I've caught it in the early stages. Oh it's going to be such a PITA! Tom, can you give me any pointers?

Oh, no! Maybe it is just extremely dry skin. I hope so anyway!

Princess takes ballet through a Christian program. They say a prayer before each class and talk about dance as a way to praise Jesus. So during the observation yesterday they were dancing to an instrumental piece. I leaned over and said to Momboss "Isn't this the DREIDEL song?" She didn't know, but I am sure it was! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

Andrew is still very miserable and he's barely eating

Marci - does Andrew like tomato soup? My Mom used to put a thick slice of American or Velveeta "cheese" in the bottom of my soup bowl and then pour hot cream of tomato soup over top. I imagine you could also use tomato soup made without milk, but that is how she always made it. The cheese would melt and I still love it on chilly days for lunch. Lots of protein and some veggies there.

I am back from the concert..it was very nice. Kids played, parents sang. ALL traditional Christmas music with one medley, Santa Meets Sousa, which was very good!!

And now you feel like it is Christmas, right? I love that feeling when it kicks in! :goodvibes

Congrats!! Enjoy your BLT! :)

Oh, no! I hope it's just dry skin from the cold weather or something! :wizard: Or maybe she didn't get all of the shampoo rinsed out? Sending lots of good thoughts for NO LICE!!

Marci - Poor Andrew. I hope his mouth isn't so sore over the weekend!
DH really wants me to keep that Dr. appointment. I guess I should.

The trunk of my car is full of stuff. I had some things to donate to the toy drive our property company is doing, but the leasing office was CLOSED all day Wednesday. I have all the stuff I have bought in there, and I have 2 big boxes of toys for Susan's boys that have been in there for a couple of MONTHS. Every time we are supposed to get together something happens and she can't make it. I am getting to the point that I REALLY just want to take the stuff to Goodwill and be done with it.

DH is off today. He is supposed to go to the storage unit and get the boxes of decorations. We will evaluate the stuff in the boxes and put up whatever Arabella can't destroy, then he will take the boxes back to storage tomorrow. He wants to try to put up a tree, but I am not thrilled with that plan. He did clear all of the stuff out of his "corner of crap" so we can put the tree there if we want to. The problem is Arabella can jump from the arm of the couch into the tree. The other corner is beside the window and she is in that window ALL the time. I can't decide which will be the lesser of the evils.

I hope it is not lice!:scared1:
We would get rid of it on our end, only to have it reappear again. We haven't seen any signs of it for a month now, hopefully we won't ever again!
Leighanna is such a hugger, and even though I told her no more hugs, I caught her at school giving hugs to her friend.
Once I engraved in her mind the importance of not hugging, not to mention the laborous treatment to get rid of the problem, she has been lice free.
At least for the moment.

Most lice are very resistant to OTC treatments. You have to physically get in there with a metal lice comb and a thick conditioner to strip the nits out of the hair. We even used a magnifying glass to check her hair strands. It was a nightmare!
Again, I hope it is not lice! If it is, be prepared to put up with it for at least a month of constant checking!

Tammi - this might be something the DXH could handle for you!!! :rolleyes1

thanks....although I am not sure when we will buy. The Billster isn't wild about the current incentive and thinks that the DTD by me will have a better deal at the Feb. sales event. But my guide of course tells me to buy now :rotfl:

Congrats!! Enjoy your BLT! :)

.

Tammi, I hope it is NOT lice! :wizard:

Kristine, I hope your sale goes through! :wizard:

You know I'll post some cookie pictures in a few months or so. ;)

Alyssa ate one cookie and some hot tea for breakfast and 15 minutes later, she threw it all up. She seems okay now, so I'm hoping it was correlated to her being phlegmy. If not, I hope we all get whatever she has, quickly!

Poor Kevin doesn't have a voice and he's supposed to sing in our church's Christmas Cantata on Sunday.

Off to shower. Hope everyone is having a better morning than me! :)

That's rather extreme. Brother and Sister were "allowed" to sing Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman, Over the River and Through the Woods, etc. Those are winter songs - they talk about SNOW.

We have had rain since Thursday night (heavy) the sump pump is still running. And this morning we are getting sleet. :scared:

Have you seen the prices on resales? AKV for $88 per point! :scared1: Not that it would pass ROFR, but I have seen some LOW prices. They are going to have to offer some good incentives or they won't be able to move the inventory. BLT in and of itself isn't enough to sell the points, especially considering how many points it takes to stay there and the price point they are using. Tell Bill not to get his knickers in a knot.

when I was picking up my DVC ornament I was trying to suck some info out of them....they claim they are not being hurt by this economy....my sales guide told me the same thing last night...I find that awfully hard to believe. when we bought AKV at the sales event...we were given double developers points....so this is what Bill expects now. The problem is...they are giving only matching developer points and they have to be used at SSR or disney land. Both of us dislike SSR....so I have trouble making it work

Prices on resales are dropping like a rock. I get e-mails from the Timeshare Store every single day, and I am watching the prices fall. Our paltry little 160 points aren't enough, so I have been watching for cheap 25 or 50 point contracts at AKV. Just browsing so far, but you never know what I might run across.

If the incentives were better BEFORE the economy got so terrible then how do they expect to sell BLT now? Silly. :sad2:

It's actually fairly common for babies to have huge ones on their head! They do look terrible!

Elise had a flat-version on her eyelid! It was not very red (more pink) and not raised at all (just in tiny capillaries under her skin), but we were worried it would get worse. Kyle worked a month or so in a hemangioma clinic, and they do have to remove them sometimes from eyes because they make the eye stick shut! Her's disappeared in about 6 weeks.

I was born with one the size of a silver dollar on my head. It was raised and very unsightly. When I was about 4 months old, the doctor froze it off.

Thanks Tom. Did Leighanna have the actual lice or just the nits?

The nurse confirmed what I saw was nits. So I then called the ped. to see if she wanted to see Alyssa. Nope, which is good for me. So I got some lice shampoo, washed and combed her. No bugs, just nits. No other reported cases at school or at daycare. I'm wondering if she got it from Florida. She can go back to school on Monday, but the nurse needs to do a head check first.
