Theresa, I hope you feel better, also!

Kevin came home from work early, with no voice at all, and now he's gone upstairs for a nap. Of course, he's denying he's sick. He's supposed to go to his prosecutor's Christmas party tonight.

Glynis, I hope Timothy's circumcision is over quickly!

Over and done! He was so good. He cried a little, but it was over before he knew it, and he was being cuddled. Now, he's sleeping, and just as cute as ever.

anyone have an idea of a $50 gift for a couple?

Wine? Gift card? Gift card to go buy wine?

Amy - I hope everyone is healthy at your house soon! :wizard:

Glynis - Poor Timothy! At least that's over with now!

Theresa- I hope your headache goes away! :wizard:

I am thinking about buying one of those spinning tree stands. Maybe Arabella will be afraid of the tree if it spins. Or maybe it will be harder for her to hit a moving target. I wish I would have thought of it earlier, because I don't know if we are going to be able to find one now. A lot of places are sold out.

Just got home from Daniel's teacher conference. He got all A+'s!:cool1:
I spoke with his teachers & he got great reviews. When I told his Social Studies teacher that we were moving she said "I feel like you have stuck a knife in my chest" wow!!! What a reaction! She said Daniel is a catalyst for so much discussion in the class & he brings so much to the dialog. I am so proud of him. I just hope his new public school can keep up with him.

To celebrate his grades we are off to ESPN Zone tomorrow for some much deserved cheese fries & video game playing.

After the conference I went over to Abercrombie to get Katie a shirt, tote bag, & their perfume (which I happen to love) so she is DONE! Sophie is DONE! I just have to get a few things for Daniel & he is DONE! I think a set of baseball cards would be good.
Excellent for Daniel! Have fun tomorrow.

 for being almost DONE!

Theresa - I hope your headache goes away.

Amy - :wizard: that Kevin really isn't sick, and that Alyssa is over her bug too.

I'm home tonight washing EVERYTHING and vacuuming. Bob went skiing for tonight and tomorrow with his buddy, so I am free! I would so love to call Elin and go meet her for a glass of wine. I know exactly where she will be tonight so I could probably just show up. ;) But I have so much to do that I really shouldn't indulge myself.

I've got all of Alyssa's bedding/teddies washed. Her pillows, Nicholas' pillows and the throw pillows from the couch are in plastic bags. Anyone know how long to keep them there? My bedding will be next, and afghans. I'm also throwing in the rugs and toilet seat cover from her bathroom. I'll do her coat too. Then I need to vacuum all of the mattresses, couches and her seat in the van, as well as the carpet. Did I miss anything?

After Timothy's doctor appointment, Alan and I went to Target and found the roller blades that we wanted for the twins. Even better, they were on sale!!! We saved a bundle! So, only one more gift and I'm done!!! I'll take Katie tomorrow to pick up Alan's hunting/fishing license, and we'll be all done! The only things left I have to wrap are the roller blades, and 2 presents for Katie and my niece Marina. I found some tea towels from England that my mom had been collecting, and I'm wrapping them for the girls from my mom. Then I'm all done!

I don't know how long stuff needs to be bagged. At least a week, I think. :guilty:

I mailed your check today. :)

Speaking of mail, my Starbucks card arrived today! I requested it on 11/13 and today is 12/12. I guess I should take back the ugly things I said about my mailman yesterday. :rolleyes1

Debbie -- did you all get any of the freak snow in Ocean Springs?

Vicki - furloughs seem to be the way to save jobs right now... I hope yours does not get any worse.

We had a few flurries while I was at work Thursday, West of us there was snow. I was on the phone with our Tech Support in Michigan when everyone was coming into the office all excited, he got a good laugh.

Lot's of Congratulations, and PD to all. It's been a hectic week but I have forced myself to get things done so it feel s pretty good.

Having your mortgage paid off definitely has one drawback, our insurance bill came in this week, :scared1: . DH went by the bank today to increase our Christmas club enough to cover it next year, I figured doing it that way we would get a check to cover it right before it is due.

Quick question...

Tomorrow, we're supposed to go to "Breakfast with Santa." I'm anticipating that Alyssa is going to notice this is a different Santa than the Santa we saw at the mall on Monday night.

How do you all handle Santa questions? Along the same lines, how do you respond when your kids notice "this" Cinderella looks a little different than "that" Cinderella?

Thanks in advance! :)

Stickies, headaches and the general maladies be gone. :wizard:

thanks....although I am not sure when we will buy. The Billster isn't wild about the current incentive and thinks that the DTD by me will have a better deal at the Feb. sales event. But my guide of course tells me to buy now :rotfl:
I thought I saw $1000 gift card being the "public" offer as the incentive when we were just there.
anyone have an idea of a $50 gift for a couple?
Bob and I always enjoy a good meal out. I also found a gift of the month club (for three months at right around $50-60) for Chips and Salsa, Movie of the Month, Breakfast of the Month and Snacks of the Month.

We tell our kids that there is no way that the real Santa could be everywhere, so there are lots of helpers that work for Santa, and they report back to him.

As for the characters, my kids have never been bothered by the fact that they are not the same from time to time. Of course, we only go once every 2 years, so they really don't remember.

Thanks! It was as if the mailman was listening!

I've used the explanation that there is one REAL Santa, Cinderella, etc. They have so much work and so many places to be that they have 'helpers' fill in for them sometimes. I also say you have to be nice to them all because you never know which is the real one and which is a helper. It's worked so far. Good luck!
