Can I ask for some prayers and pixie dust please? I just found out that one of Emma's friends from preschool dad committed suicide yesterday. Eric and him coached the girls soccer team one year. Please say a prayer for Emma's friend, her little sister and their mom. I cannot imagine the hell they are going through right now.

Prayers & pixiedust: for this family. How tragic.

I was planning to send flowers (or something) to Glynis and family sometime next week, when I know everybody is home to enjoy it. :goodvibes

On a positive note, we are having a good time. The girls are enjoying being spoiled and I enjoy being able to sit and chat with Linda, she is my dad's cousin. Her and I love to chat about family history and it's nice to piece things together. I brought with us all of our old family pictures, some dating back to the 1860's and we have been going through them together.

We have a slow morning planned. Eric and John, Linda's DH, are taking the older 2 girls for lunch so Linda and I can catch up some more. Lucy should nap. When my cousin Jane, Linda and John's DD, gets off work we are headed to the hotel where she works at to check in and swim in the pool. I believe pizza is on tap for dinner. The girls will have fun I'm sure. Afterwards, Linda and John offered to babysit so Eric and I, Jane and her boyfriend Jim and Dave (Linda and John's DS) and his wife Beth can enjoy a night out!! I am so looking forward to that!!!

I am thinking that we may leave a bit earlier tomorrow than originally planned and try and make it home in one shot.

Sounds like the trip was really good for all of you, Robyn. You got some relaxing time in! :goodvibes

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.

My morning went like this...

Got up, showered, dressed, computer time.
Eat breakfast, brush teeth, get ready to put hand cream on, phone rings.
Answer phone, Happy Thanksgiving tell your mom Happy Thanksgiving I called but got no answer, also tell her Elwood (their brother with the cancer) had a stroke, they don't think he will make it till the weekend.

Just wanted to pop in for a minute here before I head to bed.

Glynis and Family- Congrats on the safe arrival of Timothy!!!

Heidi- Many prayers for your uncle. :wizard:

Both families will be in my prayers. :grouphug:

Our Black Friday was pretty much the best ever! :rotfl:

Kyle and I hit 9 stores, NINE, and were back to my parents' house before 7am! :faint:

We didn't opt to try for a new computer because I am just too picky for the ones that were offered  but we got everything else we needed, as well as 90% of what my mom needed. I got a GORGEOUS $220 Cashmere-Wool Blend pea coat for $49 that fits beautifully (and I was in desperate need of a new coat!). We got a $600 HDTV (only 22" as an extra) for $250, and a $100 digital frame for $30. We got the maximum of 8 Lil' Kinz for only $3.50 each! We got lots of smaller things like nice photo frames, some board games, a few DVDs, some accessories for the Wii, etc for absolute steals.

All this between about 3am and 6:30am, AND we got gas for $1.59 to boot right before the station jumped up to $1.80 like the surrounding ones!

I haven't slept in about 28 hours, so I'm hoping that's a good enough excuse to go to bed early with the girls, instead of socializing at my inlaws :rolleyes1

We're off to Ottawa shortly ... enjoy the rest of your weekend!

We are just a little over 3 weeks away from our trip! And I have come upon a problem I have been wrangling with. It suddenly occurred to me to come here and ask you all!

Bob and I will arrive on 12/21 but DDs will not fly in until 12/24. We will all fly out to our various homes in the early evening on 12/27. Not a lot of time but we took them when we could get them!!

Two of the must-sees are the Ice Castle at MK and the Osborne Lights at HS. The problem? TIMING! We do have a car with us if that would help at all.

Kathrin does not arrive until 7:15 on 12/24 and we have a towncar delivering her to the BC so she can eat dinner at 8:45 with us at Cape May. We could head over to HS for the Lights or to MK for the Castle that evening after dinner, but I wonder if we will be done eating in time to do either? (Both parks are open till 11:00 that night.)

Our next two evenings we have late dinners: 12/25 - 7:15 at Jiko and 12/26 - 8:00 at Yachtsman Steakhouse. Is there any chance we could see the Lights before either of those dinner?? Remember, we will be dressed for dinner too! 12/25 HS is open till 8 and we will NOT go to MK that night. 12/26 HS is open till 8 and MK is open till 2 a.m.

Any thoughts??

Glad you did well, Jennifer! I hope you can get some sleep!!!!

How HORRIBLE! I am so sorry for the wife & girls. :sad2:

Deb I hope you get all the deals you are looking for!

I will be heading out in about an hour with sil. We decided not to try & go at 4am. There are only a couple of places I want to check out & they do not open till 6am.

If I wasn't so warm in my blanket i would go to Penny's real quick just to grab a snowglobe lol

Good luck!

DH woke up at 4 AM (because he is wired that way) and asked me if I wanted to go shop. :rotfl2: I told him NO! The Knocker must have gotten a good deal on a hammer, because she was hammering from 1 AM to 4 AM. Randomly. I would hear hammering directly below, then she would scurry across her apartment and hammer in another area, then she would come back and hammer in the bedroom again. And it wasn't knocking, it was hammering. Stupid woman. :headache:

We're leaving in about an hour for breakfast with the Uncles. I guess we might hit a store or 2 after that.

Deb - Thanks for the tip about Ritz! DH saw that on the photo forums, but he didn't order any. :confused3 All of our cameras take different memory media, which is a pain. I have enough for my little camera (SD). I think he needs compact flash.

7 MORE DAYS PEOPLE!!!!!!

Next Friday at this time, the plane Stephanie and I are on will be landing at Orlando!!!!

I cannot wait!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :thumbsup2  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :dance3:

Well I am back & happy to say that I was able to get my Disney snowglobe & this was walking in at 6:30 :yay:

There was not a lot that I was wanting to get, my main thing was the T-fal set at Big Lot's. I was able to snag one for $40. So now with the T-fal mil bought me for my birthday & this I am set :thumbsup2

I had a very nice morning & was so happy my sil went with me :goodvibes

Now I am going to try & take as nap before I go to work. Chat with you all later!

I am on the phone with a CM who will NOT shut up!! She is talking about how tough it is on holidays to get from one family to another and how her MIL's attitude changed the minute she married the woman's son! I was on the phone with her for 20 minutes and there was absolutely no problem with the dining changes I wanted to make. She just would not shut up! Must have had a rough day yesterday at the MIL's house. ;) :rotfl2:

OK - Elizabeth... I took your idea and ran with it! I changed both dinner ADRs to 9:00 from 7:15 and 8:00. That will give us time to see the castle or the Osborne Lights and have a leisurely dinner afterward. Thanks!

Janet, when did your Penney's open?! I walked in ours at 4:15am (they opened at 4) and the snowglobes were long gone. Is it cute?

I just tried to switch nights on those two dinner ADRs, but Yachtsman is completely booked on Christmas night. Anyway, we can park at YC and take the boat over to HS on the 26th, see the lights and then come on back to eat.

I still have to figure out when we will get into the MK to see the castle with the girls... 12/24 won't work because Kathrin arrives just in time for dinner at Cape May (8:45) and the MK closes at 11:00 that night. 12/25 is NOT a good time to think about the MK at ALL! And 12/26 is our last night. I am sure the perfect answer will hit me, but it hasn't yet!
