I agree... there was nothing "odd" in the subject line that would have indicated to me that it was something I should not click on. I figured it was something like ElfYourself or one of those fun things to do. I think as this thing is mutating it is getting a little raunchier in its subject line too. I got another one from Denise yesterday that was a little off...

I haven't paid much attention, but the ones I got yesterday were definitely about checking out a photo/video of me someone found on a random site, etc... maybe not raunchy, but definitely fishy. Anything that is "of me" that someone "found" I don't believe, whether perverted sounding or not.

I think earlier in the week there were more benign looking subjects, but still coming from random people (ie in addition to getting a message from denise, I'd get the same one from someone in high school that I'm sure wasn't a coincidence!).

It definitely wasn't the first time similar subjects/viruses have been passed around on messages or walls, but this one definitely sounds the most harmful thus far! I'm sorry it affected so many people... It never ceases to amaze me what some people will do to others!

Thanks for the well-wishes for Bob (and us!). He is planning to check with the salesmen who are still employed to see if they would want him to do some takeoffs for them. They would pay him out of pocket as a consultant. It is the tedious work they hate to do and many of them are losing their Admin. Assts. so he may have a taker or two.

He just called me to tell me that the head of shipping was let go last night at the end of the day. It will be very uncomfortable at work for the next little while because her husband and two of her sons still work there. One of them is Bob's immediate boss.

To make matters even worse, Bob has 7 days of vacation left. He plans to take 5 of them for our vacation and the other 2 sometime before the end of the year. Well, they were told yesterday that their vacation "pay" would also be paid at the lower rate. I can't quite see how that is legal! Those are days they have already worked for and earned. Anyway, he is tossing around the idea of going into work M-Th or T-Fr for the remainder of the year and also take off the 5 days of vacation while we are gone. One of those days is Christmas and is supposed to be paid, so that leaves him with yet another day!

I suggested that maybe he should just not go into work at all for the next three weeks and get paid whatever he gets paid! He didn't see the black humor in that...

Yup I didn't download anything, thank goodness. And I told my sister about just not clicking on any emails she gets, to just delete them.

I opened the email as well and even clicked the link....but the next step was to download something....I didn't...not because I thought it was bad..but I was too lazy at the moment. Thankfully I did not....it seems the downloading of the link is where the issue comes from.

Chuck got our Christmas present from my mother and is already playing with it. The girls have their laptops and are loving them (which mom bought them). Mom bought Chuck and I each a webcam so that we can talk to each other online. He emailed me a video tonight since I don't have mine yet and we can't talk live This is going to be awesome for us.

Thanks, Vicki. Yes it is.... and he had already lost his bonuses which were even more than that. It is going to be tight around here.

I suggested that we cancel the WDW but both he and Kristin said no. They said we have already paid for most of it and the things that are left (special dinners, the Segway Tour, the carriage ride) can be canceled and we can spend lots of time together in the parks and having our own mini "Food and Wine Festival" as we eat at CS restaurants instead of signature ones.

Kristin also reminded me that she is working and can chip in. She had offered her sister money and the offer was lovingly refused at this point. But I have to admit that I am starting to get a little scared.

Dang-I have definitely picked the wrong time to grow a back bone and be out looking for a job haven't I?? The forecast that came out today is instead of gaining 300,000 jobs (like usual) in November & December there may be a loss of 600,000

If I didn't believe this was what I needed to do and if God hadn't slapped me on the back of the head saying...."Theresa I've given you all these openings have faith and jump through" I would really be worried.

Bill's youngest son is having a rough time.....the wife got fired from HP....they just bought a house 6 months ago.....and now she has health issues.

Well, one good thing has happened today. The flights I wanted for DH miraculously reappeared this morning! So now we depart at 7:45 AM (the first flight of the day) and we come home at 5:25 PM which gives us another half day. We were looking at having to come home at 9:45 AM so we wouldn't have even been able to eat breakfast at Boma on our departure day. Now we will be at WDW for breakfast and lunch, and we'll hop on ME around 2:30 PM.

The computer is still not working properly and it appears that the trojan virus is trying to reinfest the computer. McAfee keeps catching it, but the computer is taking way to long to boot up. I'm running more anti virus and anti spyware as we speak. What a PITA. I'd love to discontinue my facebook account, but I can't get on it to do so.

I was actually paid to go on Colby's trip this morning. They needed a sub for one of the special needs kids so it worked out as I was planning to go anyway. Now I'm back to stressing over my computer. I'm actually considering throwing it out the window

I'm running more anti virus and anti spyware as we speak. What a PITA. I'd love to discontinue my facebook account, but I can't get on it to do so.

Hopefully you'll be able to get onto your account soon, but I doubt anything is happening to/from it in the meantime.
